This was my first visit to this location to do a blood donation. Normally, I would do them when the bus comes to my work for it. However, the last time I tried, I wasn’t able to due to low hemoglobin counts, which was a first for me in all the years I have done such donations. Once I came in, I was greeted by one of the volunteers at this location. They had said about having to read the materials and so forth when I signed in, but didn’t have to. Since the ARC has started Rapid Pass, I was able to do the health questionnaire and look over the materials at home, rather than having to go through that process there. It made the process even smoother. When doing Rapid Pass, it has to be completed on the same day of the donation; you will not be able to complete it on a phone, as it has to be completed on the computer or tablet. They have both platelet and whole blood donations at this location. You can either schedule with an appointment or just be a walk-in. Once the check in process is completed, you’ll go through the health history questions(if not already completed through Rapid Pass), blood pressure and other normal measurements before donation. Once everything is acceptable, you’ll get your tags to take back to the donation area. You’ll pass the refreshment area on your way there. Next to the refreshment area is the platelet donation area. Once you walk past that, you’ll be at the whole blood donation area. The process is very easy and quick. Once completed, you’ll get to spend some time at the refreshment area. You’ll be able to get something to drink, such as water or juices, and snack foods. Overall, this is a very clean and well maintained location. I would definitely come back here to donate. If you haven’t done a blood donation, now is the time for you to do it as well. You’ll get to help save lives in the process. That’s always a great feeling to have. This is a good place to do blood donations, even if it would be your first. You should donate today.

Located at Pembroke Mall between Sears and Target, this newly built donation center is pretty cool. Once they recieve your phone infotrmation you wll be bumbarded with phonecalls to donate. But honestly, it isnt that big of a deal because you have the opportunity to save lives. The staff here is very nice and have a great deal of experience, almost always tapping your vein on the first go around. They are very attentive and along with their volunteer coordinators you are in good hands from the beginning of the process to the very end when your walking out the door. Donate, save a life and get some free cookies and drinks afterwards.
