Capawock is a cute little island theater with lots of charm — I wouldn’t particularly recommend it for any crazy blockbusters that you probably should be seeing digitally, but it’s great for smaller movies.

The popcorn machine is back. The best moment of this anciant place, just like our grampy George, God Bless you, was when Kill Bill running a few years ago. When Uma Thurman rushed into the drinking place and started the fight with hundreds of Yakuza behind the rice paper screens upstairs, the film was rolling upside down in BW. And we, the naïve folks were amazed by how creative Tarantino was perfecting the visual effect. Then, well, we found out that that was a pure mistake. The sound is quite off and you love this place because it set you to the to the nostalgic experience of Cinema Paradiso. Come and experience it yourself.

I’m going to go ahead and say that this is my favorite island theater. 5 stars for being in VH and not OB or Edgartown. I have fond memories of going to like. EVERYMOVIEEVER each weekend when I was in elementary school. Good popcorn. And there’s just one aisle through the chairs so it’s fun watching people have to get up and shuffle around. Is that ridiculous? Best movie experience ever at the Capawock– Who Framed Roger Rabbit?
