This place is a great place to check out in Vineland, considering our options can be limited sometimes. I think one of the things I like the most about it, is that it has a really cool vibe and ambiance. It feels like a place that you’d find in Philadelphia, not here in Vineland. I’ve been here a few times at this point — for a girls lunch and a date night with friends. The service was great both times, along with the food. The first time, I adored the mac and cheese which was yummy. I love the desserts too because they’re unique. If you’re looking for a place to eat that has good food and vibes, this is a great place.

I’ve taken some flak for my original review. Hmm. .. I stand by it. My wife and I have discussed our outing a few times since. We decided that our expectations were too high. Instead of a fine-dining restaurant, if we approached this as a burger/beer joint, maybe we would be more impressed. I have gone in twice in the last couple months and sat at the bar and had burgers. The first time the classic, the second a bbq burger. The burgers are 412 each. They’re decent burgers. The fries are good. They are drizzled with truffle oil. Excellent! The classic burger was good, the bbq burger was swimming in sauce. This last time we had a soup and an appetizer. The soup was sausage and tortellini. It was decent. It was a bit heavy for late May, but tasty. The app was pulled pork inside a pretzel roll. By far, this was the most attractive dish I have had here. It was tasty too. There was a sauce beneath it. I have forgotten what it was, but it complemented the dish. For dessert we had raspberry cheesecake. It was fine. It was, however, served atop lots of vanilla ice cream. It seemed odd and took away from the cheesecake. I have upped my rating to three stars. I won’t be rushing out here, but it’s a decent evening out for some comfort food and a drink.

Service — Varies but I would rate it average to slightly above average. Food — Rating is mainly based on the food lacking in consistency. For being on the pricey side(at least for most Vineland folks), they need to be more consistent in their cooking. I usually get the same 2 – 3 things(burgers, chicken parm/ravioli, edamame) and they can either be great or come out mediocre at best. Drinks — Always strong and not watered down like most other places. It helps they usually have the same/only bartender which helps a lot.

Been meaning to check this place out for awhile, and went tonight with my girlfriend. Food was excellent. She had a salmon special served over shrimp risotto. She loved the salmon, and the risotto was out-of-this-world. I had a seafood cioppino that had a nice kick to it, with truly gigantic mussels. Seriously, the meat was the size of my thumb. Side of mac and cheese that was only okay; the sauce could have been thicker. Decent beer selection: I had a Flying Dog Raging Bitch, and a Dogfish Head Romantic Chemistry, and she had a couple Allagashes. However, all three were in bottles — I didn’t see any taps. $ 7 for a bottle of beer — I don’t care who makes it – is exorbitant. The service was lacking. There were only three tables, and I sat with an empty beer glass for about five minutes. When she finally came to see if I wanted another, she didn’t bother asking my girlfriend the same question. My girlfriend asked about the grilled vegetables, and the server told us, «Sometimes it’s zucchini, sometimes it’s eggplant…» Like, that’s nice, sweetie, but what is it TODAY? Don’t get me wrong, she was a nice girl, just perhaps a little green — but when entrees average $ 25, I don’t want green. I want competence. Nonetheless, worth the trip, and I’m sure we’ll be back.

And ONCEAGAIN, tonight was a spectacular evening at the Red Knot in Vineland NJ! It never ceases to fail at creating an absolutely gastronomic experience along with a fun atmosphere and an incredibly friendly staff. You are always greeted immediately at the door and seated. The restaurant is well-designed with no spot being not a great table or seat… nicely done! The owner Andrew is usually at hand to do it himself! We chose to sit at the bar this evening and Genevieve the bartender is absolutely superb! She is knowledgeable of the drinks, friendly with her service, and delicious in her execution of Beverages and delivery of food. We were celebrating a birthday tonight and it was the perfect atmosphere. There was a crowd earlier in the evening and it lessened as the night went on which is typical for a Thursday night. Fridays and Saturdays are much more crowded so expect a minor wait. I tried a couple new Craft Beers tonight… they have over 60 from which to choose!! We ordered several absolutely delicious appetizers & entrees. The meal began with their specialty of Scotch Eggs, of course… soooo delectable! A new appetizer, buffalo chicken meatballs, were really unique, interesting, tasty & creatively presented. We followed apps with a wedge salad, VERY fresh & crisp. The braised beef short ribs atop a potato hash & crowned with a sunny side up egg was not only creative but definitely met all needs of a gastropub excellence… My new favorite! We capped the meal with fresh coffee & tiramisu to end the night which where very well presented and tasted wonderful. It is noted that a new menu has been added, which Andrew does every few months. The Chef, Mark, told us tonight v though that if you ever want an item from an old menu & they have the ingredients, he will definitely create it for you. I am ALWAYS looking forward to my next visit!

Met a friend here for a drink and some food on a Tuesday night about 9pm. She snagged the last two seats at the bar. I ran into an old schoolmate from grade school and that was the highlight. The French martini I had was good also. The service was lacking, which is unusual when u sit at a bar. Water had to be asked for twice. We had to always wave to get attention. Near the end she checked in after most people were gone. We got some popcorn with a truffle oil which was good. I was greatly disappointed by the menu. I was told there were mostly tapas. Not so. And there were very few healthy options. I chose the burger which was a special. They were out. Then the edamame. After awhile, we ordered the baba ghanish. We asked if it were possible to get some veggies, like celery or carrots, with the pita. She said probably not but would check. Both dishes came at the same time. The baba had only pita. The edamame were really good. They had a unique Asian seasoning flavor, not just salt like most places. Atmosphere is good. Place had a good vibe. I’ll be back. I recommend this place but eat before you come.

Loved this place! A small little spot in the center of a shopping mall, this great find is brand new! My sister and her boyfriend live close and suggested we check it while we were in town. The give you kettle corn as your waiting for you food and every item we ordered on the menu was delicious! We got the crab mac and cheese, which was amazing and the portion size is incredible, which my sister, my girlfriend and I ate and STILL had leftovers. The calamari was solid and all the cocktails and beer were also tasty. I would recommend this spot for sure, and hope to come back again!

Food is excellent, haven’t had a bad meal or appetizer yet. Service is hit or miss, that is why I gave them three stars. Hopefully they work the bugs out for my next visit

Amazing! So nice to have something unique in our area! The food is right on point with a Gastropub! Love the truffle popcorn instead of bread & butter! Oh, and the bartender Genevieve is fantastic! Definitely check this place out, you won’t be disappointed :)

Yeah still the same poor service, cleanliness in general leaves a lot to be desired. Food quality declined, drink quality declined. Time to call Robert Irvine?

Was very pleased with the food and service. Our waitress definitely took pride in her job and was extremely attentive and kind. Food was delicious but not completely mind blowing. I’m just so damn happy that we have a place in Vineland that isn’t meant to cater to 50+ byo Italian food etc. Good to have something fresh and unique with a great beer selection. Looks like the double eagle has some competition once it reopens ;). Update: we went last night, 10 – 23, and we sat at the bar. The menu was slightly changed which was very cool since they’re going to do seasonal menus. I had the bibb salad and the scotch egg. Both of which were very good. We have been here 5 times after last night and still walk out very pleased. We love the atmosphere, food, and the wide selection of beers. My biggest compliment goes to the bartender; not only is she very attentive and kind but she also is a master of her craft, she made and absolutely killer old fashioned! :). Great jobs guys keep up the hard work.

Oh my sweet Jezus. This place is just too good. I’ve made it a point to try something new every time I come and I have never been disappointed. From the top of the menu to the bottom, everything is so well thought out and interesting. You can play it safe with the crazy good Mac & Cheese, or go in on something different like the ever-changing specials like sesame crusted tuna. Now, it being a gastropub, do I even need to explain how great the beer selection is?! No, it speaks for itself. And the cocktail menu rivals any upscale NYC lounge. South Jersey is truly lucky to have this kind of vibe. It’s a true gem. Great music, dim romantic lighting, and you’ll always bump into someone you know. I recommend the edamame, satay(they give you chicken AND beef), Mac and cheese, the 8oz steak, bacon meatloaf roll, pork shanks, and never forget the free truffle oil popcorn on every table. Cheers, and enjoy!

Went here with my husband and a friend on a Saturday night for light fare and beer. The server was not that attentive and took our food prior to us being finished. We shared the beef/chicken satay and the hummus trio. Both were good, but the chipotle hummus in the trio stole the show. We each enjoyed a beer. I liked the chalk board of beers to keep up with the rotation. The atmosphere was nice. It felt contemporary and like a step in the right direction for Vineland. Overall, we will be back. It makes a nice date night.

I wandered in on a random Tuesday which happened to be opening night. Food and service was spot on. We sat at the bar. The drink menu is interesting and ample. The cocktails were tasty. The truffle oil popcorn is a nice touch. We had the pork spare ribs, the crab mac and cheese, the fish tacos, and the truffle fries. We loved it all. We have been back maybe 3 – 4 times since then surfing through the menu slowly but surely. I have no complaints. All food selections we have made were fantastic. I love this contemporary offering for our area. We are lacking so it is a great addition. I also loved the music selection. When you visit make sure you read the blackboard for the entrée specials, wing selection, and burger selection of the evening. Our first couple of visits we were not made aware of that by our server. I was a smidge confused seeing burgers around the dining room and later I figured out why. Great spot with awesome food. I truly hope they flourish.

If your looking for good food and knowledgeable staff avoid this restaurant. I am into the craft beers but apparently the staff is not. Our waitress didnt know a stout from a lager. That pretty much sums it up.

Stopped in for desserts and drinks tonight. Décor and vibe is very contemporary, and I can see this being a super cute date spot. Menu is interesting, with some fascinating options. I can’t comment on the full fare, though, because we were just getting dessert. The drinks were great — I had the espresso martini, and it was one of the best coffee based drinks I’ve ever had. Others in my party got beers. More on that on in a minute. The dessets themselves were great, too — different. I got the churros, and they were perfectly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and delicious with vanilla ice cream. My partner and her friend got the fried smores, and they were great, as well. Both deserts got a little soupy since they were pairing a hot item right on top of ice cream. One wonders if a different plating would have helped. On to the reason I’m only giving this place four(if I could, I’d give them 3.5) stars despite all the good. Service was pretty bad, given both the nature of this place and the(a little too high) prices. The waitress came by, asked us for our drink order. I asked her to tell us about their beer menu — something they obviously encourage because a) its a gastropub and b) the beer menu is written in chalk on a wall. You aren’t given it at your table. Waitress gave me a blank look. I ask about their Flying Fish brewery selection, what kind the Exit 4 is, since its not a brewery I’m familar with, since all we have to go on is the names of the beers, not even the type. Waitress shakes her head and says she’s not familar with craft beers. Lol, wut? This is a gastropub. The servers should know the beer list backwards, forwards and sideways. Service went down from there. She did not bring glasses with the beers. She was rude to us for the rest of the night. If service improves, can see this place being 5 stars, easy. Great place, and I hope it has all the success in the world.

Excellent quality food with excellent service! Tried lots of small plate items and the teriyaki burger. They even serve truffle oil popcorn in place of bread and butter. Nice work!
