We started off the evening without three kids. Went to MPV to a good friends promotion for an upcoming event. We would never have gone here if it wasn’t for the event promo. The bar tenders were great. Very attentive to making sure we had drinks and food. Bathrooms were reasonable being the type bar this is. Nothing fancy, nothing updated, and surely not a club atmosphere. This is a neighborhood bar. Out dated décor, outdated food, most importantly good company. Would I go back here? Sure, if I had a reason to. There are places closer, so its not my first choice.

Has there ever been a time in your life where you and some friends didn’t want your night to end or perhaps didn’t know where you wanted it to begin? If this sounds remotely familiar and you live in southern Jersey. you have probably been to MVP while waiting for other«better» things to do. Located on lovely Wheat Road in Buena, MVP, the old Frosted Mug, is a hole in the wall dive bar which many people, both young and old, flock to on any given night of the week. I can never quite remember how or why I end up here but it’s certainly never because it’s the place to go. Instead, it’s usually just to kill time or while waiting for other plans to happen. Nevertheless, I don’t have many complaints. They have pretty good mozzarella stix. The crowd is ALWAYS amusing. And hey, there is no doubt that you will for sure see someone you went to school with. which may or may not be a bad thing. The bartenders are forgettable, and so is this place. I couldn’t tell you how much I’ve paid(have I ever paid now that I think about it? usually too drunk to remember) for a drink but I’m sure it’s dirt cheap. Speaking of dirt, do not come here in your Sunday best; this place is very casual and more or less kind of grungy. On some nights there is a dj. There are two pool tables as well as a small outside«patio» smoking/seating area. Very local scene. I’m sure I’ll be there again soon one night

I go to MVP as often a I can, I usually plan my visits in accordance to manny’s schedule. I find him to be very friendly and generous. I never pay for my first drink and he always gives me a big hug. I just cant wait to go back!!!

I love MVP even though it is pretty much a hole in the wall. On most weeknights from 9 — 11 they offer half price drinks, and you can get a 10 oz mug of high life for a buck. Their food is typical bar food, with some things better then others. The owners, Manny and Vic, are very friendly guys.(They also own Manny n Vics on Delsea) Bartender Christina is my favorite– she’s awesome! Last time I went they added all these specialty hot dogs to the menu and I got the Junkyard Dog, which had a mozzarella stick, fries, pickles, coleslaw, ketchup and mustard on it. They served it on a Kaiser roll so it was hard to eat but pretty fantastic. Don’t get the crab cake– do get the gravy fries if they’re serving them. Good place to watch the game, play pool or practice your pole tricks on the smoking patio. Ha.

Stopped in for a drink a few weeks ago. Given the distance it is from my house and the mediocrity of this place, I doubt I’ll ever go again. If it was right around the corner, I might be inclined to visit on occasion, but the drinks were watered down, the crowd left something to be desired and the bartenders were nothing to write home about. On the plus side, plenty of parking and pool tables though. MVP is just okay– certainly wouldn’t go out of my way to go there again.
