This little country store has a little bit of everything from feed, hardware, groceries and good home cooking. The owner, staff and other patrons are a pleasure to go spend time with as this store seems to be more of a community gathering center for the locals over a general store at times. The restaurant is small and serves good sized portions of hot freshly cooked foods as well as foods to go items and Hunt Brothers pizza(not good) The only downside to this small store is the lack of attention towards the expiration dates on the dry goods on the store shelves as well as the dairy products. I have personally found cream cheese packages 6 months out of date and brown sugar and cake mix boxes at 4 months out. I will continue to patronize this small country store as it’s still better than driving 18 miles to Elizabethtown I also hope this review will filter to others who will also look at the labels and bring this to the attention to the owner.
