Tuesday Morning

A friend wanted to stop in the other day to see what they had, since she’s inundated with a slew of January Birthday’s and she wanted to see if she could find some presents. My last memory of Tuesday Morning was as a young child collecting Madame Alexander dolls, and they sometimes had 1 doll for sale at ½ off or more; and one time had bone leather Gucci pumps for my mom, for a song. Those shoes took about 7 years of loving wear before they looked like a pair the cat dragged in. Those were the good days of TM. My mom said they drastically changed from selling Waterford crystal to plastic glassware, etc., and she was right. While I didn’t expect to see any more Gucci or Waterford, much of what they do have is of mediocre quality or if a known brand name, priced the same as a Macy’s sale, of which there are zillions. They actually had 1 Madame Alexander doll up front, but no surprise, it wasn’t of the caliber I remembered and the price was just okay.

This is a good store if you want gift items, holiday decorations, gift wrapping supplies, candles and gardening supplies/​outdoor decorations. Most of the stores have a good variety of candles and toiletries as will. I also bought a few dog toys. The bad thing about Tuesday Morning is that you can rarely find more than one of an item, especially higher priced rugs, crystal, dishes, etc. I did find two nice throw rugs in similar palettes, but not the same pattern. Will look at other Tuesday Morning stores for something similar. This Store is located in the same shopping center (at the opposite end) as New Uses and Clothes Mentor. There was plenty of parking in the lot during the week.

Coming in you never know what you are going to stumble upon, the deals and the fun little knick knacks are what i enjoy to find. The prices are very reasonable and you can find a good little gift or any little thing you need!

First off, I thought this place would be similar to a Marshalls. Definitely not Marshalls prices. This is high end stuff discounted. And it still seems hella expensive to me. I walked in and walked out with nothing.

Wife makes me go here with her. At least they have enough imported man junk (no, not that kind) to keep me distracted for about half of our stay. But my wife has more staying power than mortal women.

This is one of the five I visit. I really like the St. Charles one the best. However you can’t beat any of them. The prices are exactly what we need today in this economy. I will go in and be in for hours. I mean hours. I come out with the best darn deals. Not to mention the products are top of the line. I have never had a issue taking things back. If you are a soon to be bride you can register at any Tuesday Morning. It is the bomb!
