Such a nice ambiance. We flew in from LA and we definitely don’t have places like this here. They had a Sunday brunch w balloons and roses for the ladies. It was super cute. The food was on point. The paay were great and fresh. The parata was a little different than the traditional but really good and fried. The kheer was delish and one of my faves the next being the kouna gosht. Also loved that everything including the restroom were clean and they had a changing table!

Go here for Pakistani food. Nihari is good, chicken chilli is juicy and perfect spice. Frontier chicken is good. Naan is perfectly fresh soft and melts in mouth. Do not go here expecting good American food, burgers are dry, charga which is actually fried chicken with hot sauce, onions on top is hard and crunchy the most difficult piece of meat I’ve had to swallow, philly sandwich is sloppy and too messy. Clean place, decent prices, food hit or miss. When we told the waiter the chicken was hard and dry. Waiter told us what chicken charga should taste like, so yes 0 points for service.

Been here several times and did ordered different items on the menu. Most of the time you will leave this place happy and eat good food. Most of the food is very good. However this place is very pricey compared to other Pakistani restaurant’s the good thing is they will give you a very good portion of the food. Usually 1 dish will be enough for 2 people to eat. Very good serving. On my last visit I ate the Mongolian beef… It was decent.

Came here for dinner and wasn’t overly impressed. Soup was complimentary, but hot & sour had too much vinegar. The three entrees came very quickly, which is kind of nice, but makes me wonder how fresh they were. In fact, the chicken was room temperature. The fried rice was pretty good, but Mongolian beef was rather greasy. For Indo-Chinese, I’ll stick to Taste in Downers Grove.

Came here with my In Laws just for their chinese and I have to say it was defenitely up to the mark. Great food, fast service, smiley faces and a nice ambience. Their Mangolian beef is very very good. The beef is tender and just has the right amount of everything. Hakka noodles are very good too and if you are a person like me who like spicy do tell them to make it extra spicy… yumm Chicken fried rice was good but could have been a little better. A little more seasoning and may be no green peas would be a much better idea. They do use basmati rice so thats defenitely a plus point. Szechan Chicken was also very good. It had a sour taste to it that I and my family did enjoy a lot. Btw, did I forget to mention how big there portions are for their chinese Szechan and mangolain beef. They are huge! I would recommend the place to everyone. Finally have another Chinese Zabiha halal place that I can look coming forward to!

I have been a regular customer for years until i saw this today just before leaving the restaurant. I can’t believe someone will be this cheap. I was at dinner with family, when I saw a worker pour back left over chatni & raita from used bowls back into two jugs they place on the buffet bar, other waiter poured back from same jugs for new tables. Just imagine if someone has licked the spoon of these chatnies… Would you like this for you or family? Stay away, until they mend their ways.

Food is good. Staff just serves. Don’t expect great service that is how they roll. Try the Paki foods, their Chinese offerings are good not great. I would stick to Beef Nihari, BBQ Chicken and Boti Chicken. Naan is good. Avoid Spinach with potato’s it is below average. All in all I recommend this place. One of the better Pakistani restaurants around.

I loved the food, the environment. Staff is a bit rude that’s why I give them a 4 star rating. Otherwise the food was amazing and fairly priced. Highlight was chicken frontier and their Nehari was exquisite. Will definitely go there again.

God I love the Philly here and all the fast food. Don’t really care to much for the Indian food. Prices are also good. Only thing that I don’t really care for is the costumer service it could be a bit better. But solid Zabhia fast food

Shahi Nihari is Villa Park is consistently the best Pakistani restaurant in the Chicagoland area. Must trys are the Nihari, Biryani and their August special of Bihari kabob paired with their delicious paratha.

I’ve been a customer of Shahi through its many iterations. Always a good choice for yummy Pakistani food. Stopped in with family for a dinner buffet, it wasn’t a bad deal for $ 15 a person. The buffet included chicken biryani, karahi chicken, chicken boti(there’s a theme here), beef seekh kabob, nihari, and naan. Service is always great. The food can be hit or miss. I prefer their a la carte menu. Any grilled item is a safe bet to be fresh and delicious. Great choice for larger groups.

I remember how much I loved the spicy gyros sandwich at the old location on Roosevelt. I don’t know what has changed, but it doesn’t taste as quite as delicious as before. But it’s still good! I LOVETHEIRFRIES! They are like the Spinzer fries on Devon. The gyros sandwich is still my favorite, my sisters love their club sandwich. I would say this is more on the expensive side, but they are local and you don’t have to drive out all the way to Devon! They made this place super family friendly and for large parties. I only come here when a bunch of my family members want to eat out(we had a party of 15 before and they easily accommodated us). I know they also have a private dining hall you can rent out and they will cater for you. Rumor has it that because the owners are more focused on their banquet hall and making the restaurant more fancy(etc etc), the food quality went down… but it still tastes good to me.

This place is authentic Pakistani food which is has flavorful food . Food: Frontier rice and frontier platter is a must try. The veg biryani which is one of best in Chicago(my friend definitely recommends it) . Ambience: Is good but can be better. Service: a little more proactive people but compensates for the food . The overall review don’t portray the good picture have I give it a five.

We stopped in on a whim for lunch and found it to be a pretty nice place. Very helpful staff who explained the menu and warned about the spice, not that I’m afraid of heat, but it is nice to know before hand. The lunch specials were limited so we had the slightly more expensive platters. They come with basmati rice, but the nan was extra. The server brought a place of vegetables and dips to tide us over as we waited for an appetizer. Very tasty chutney with strong cumin flavor. The appetizer was a fried dumpling with potato and was fresh out of the fryer. We ordered the butter chicken and the BBQ tikka-something(think Tandoori chicken), and both were very good. Ample portions and well seasoned. The nan was light and fluffy and also recently cooked. It was a nice place to stop in for lunch, I will probably give it another go for a dinner.

We come here once in a blue moon considering the vast South Asian options in the western suburbs. To be completely honest, I feel their Pakistani fare is pretty average. Considering the competition in the general area, nothing blew me away(no, not even the naan everyone talks about) and I found it to be slightly overpriced. I would rather rate this place 3 stars but the Chicken Grilled Salad made it for me, and the couple of waiters that we had did a decent job with their customer service. This time around we ordered: –Chicken Grilled Salad — The BEST part of the meal! I’m not a salad type of gal, but this really knocked my socks off! –Chicken Club with fries — This is my favorite sandwich from here, but not better than the salad mentioned above. –Chicken Chargha — Skip. It tasted like over-fried chicken and was kind of chewy, not like an authentic chargha at all. –Kunna Ghost — It was okay, nothing to write home about. –Naan — Standard naan, fresh but tasted kind of bland. In the past, we’ve ordered many things ranging from their Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches, to more of their grill items(seekh kabab, tandoor/boti kababs) and curries. However despite the decent amount of visits here, nothing’s stuck out in memory other than the Chicken Club and now, the Grilled Chicken Salad.

This used to be my favorite restaurant few years ago until the owners of this place chose to pay more attention to banquets than their menu. It has been the same menu(absolutely unchanged) since 2007(which was the first time I went to this place). The Pakistani and Indian waiters think that they are actually doing the customers a favor by serving us food. Always long waits and then screwed up orders when the food finally arrives. Small portions, overpriced and biryani keeps getting horrible… Stopped going to this place since summer 2014. If you need better food and good time with your family, try some other place. They are not what they used to be, pretty sad though :-(

You can’t charge me $ 1.50 more for Garlic Naan and give me bread stuffed with granulated garlic powder. Homey don’t play dat! The Naan itself is really good. The«Garlic» Naan is tasty, too, but it’s garlic powder and that’s a damn joke. You’re better off going with the regular. I come for the Butter Chicken aka Chicken Makhani. It seems to be done a little differently than Indian restaurants’ versions. That’s probably because this place is a Pakistani and Indian restaurant, or they are simply doing something differently and I can’t put my finger on it. It’s not as bright in color and it usually comes out a bit soupy instead of creamy. The odd part is that after a few hours it seems to set and then it’s almost the same, and it’s very good. Get the mango lassi. You won’t regret it. This would probably be a 4-star rating if not for 3 factors: 1) GARLIC Naan, I cannot emphasize this enough, needs FRESH garlic. 2) Wait times for pickup orders are unpredictable. Sometimes it’s 15 – 20 minutes. Another time I was told 50 minutes and that they could only do a half portion and there wasn’t any Naan. 3) They never give me utensils. Without fail, not a single spoon, knife, or fork in the bag. I’m really not opposed to eating with my hands, but I’ve got to be prepared for it, like going-to-an-Ethiopian-restaurants-and-washing-my-hands-5x-in-advance prepared and this stuff stains like nobody’s business. Overall, it’s a good lunch option and the price is right.
