Payless Shoesource

At one point maybe a year ago, I told myself I wouldn’t shop at this store again. The workers were verging on rude and pretty obviously didn’t care that they were there at all — customer service was completely lacking.
I went in today for some cheap flats since I’ve looked lots of other places and they have not met my needs.
I wish I’d caught the names of the ladies working in the store today because they were pretty fantastic. Not only was I greeted when I came in, which never happened to me in that particular store before, one of the ladies actually came into the aisle to ask if I needed anything and she also offered to bring the shoes I was planning to buy to the register for me. Once I got in line, I noticed that the woman working the register was actually behaving in a professional manner, very polite and courteous — it used to be more like «Why are you bothering me?» from the previous employees so it was a nice change of pace. Both ladies were very friendly and pointed out the sale items and my check-​out was quick and quite pleasant. Also, and this is maybe just me being weird, but I was happy to see one of the ladies cleaning off the counter in between customers — it seemed like they were actually proud of their store and that is a good thing in my book.
The one point off is for the smaller selection — still decent but it is a small store and they do not carry as many styles as some of the larger stores do.
Needless to say, I will be returning to this store and hopefully the atmosphere and helpful employees remain!
