Absolutely amazing chuletas! Tried the chocolate, coconut and the tamarind child. Ask were outstanding. The chocolate tasted more like a Heath bar FYI. The tamarind Chile was sublime… And my husband enjoyed the coconut and said it had pieces of coconut in it. It’s so reasonable given its freshly made in store. We will most definitely return!

I love this place. It’s possible I spent 25% of my salary here this past summer. Delicious ice cream in flavors like mango with chile, tamarindo, super man, coconut, and many more. There is a colorful assortment of Popsicles in dozens of delicious flavors like tutti fruit and bubblegum. The corn in a cup is heavenly! It’s hard to stop here and not get some! They also make delicious Doritos locos, which is Doritos topped with cheese and other goodies. Oh! I almost forgot mangonada! Mango ice cream, diced mangoes, tamarind sauce, chile spices, and apparently something addictive but in a good way. These things rock.

This place has a little bit of everything. My friend told me about the Gansito ice cream, which was similar to their strawberry cheesecake ice cream, but with chunks of gansito mixed into it. If you aren’t familiar, a Gansito is like a chocolate covered Twinkie and filled with cream and raspberry jam. The cake part is more dry though. Pro tip: Gansitos are best eaten frozen. That being said, I had to try the ice cream. It was OK. Not as much Gansito mixed in as I would’ve liked. But for $ 2 I can’t complain. They have paletas(Mexican popsicles), and a wide variety of other items like mangoneadas and I’m pretty sure I also saw a sign for tortas. This little, family owned business is cash only for purchases under $ 5. The inside is brightly decorated with ribbons and drapery in bold, rainbow hues. A nice change from Dairy Queen.

I’ve only ever had their mangoneadas, but they’re always so delicious! I drive 25 min from my apartment to get some from here whenever I’m craving something sweet but more on the healthy side. By the looks of it, it’s mango sorbet with tons of chopped mango, light chilli powder, and what tastes like a tamarind glaze or maybe lime juice. Whatever they put in this stuff, it’s as good as sin.

A nice family business in an area that needs more business around the Villa Park metro stop. They have expanded in recent months and have a wide variety of ice cream and frozen treats
