School of Rock Vienna

School of Rock Vienna has been great for my kid. Our public school offers orchestra, symphonic band, marching, and jazz band. But my kid is moved by Rock-​n-​Roll.
Just like travel sports, this musical education is an investment to develop their talent. Every season students learn a new genre of rock-​n-​roll, which makes them pretty versatile musicians. My son has truly blossomed from a quiet kid to singing and playing on stage with confidence.
After 3 years with this company, I can tell you they truly care about the kids having a great experience. Just like any company, there are good staff and not as good staff. But overall, I’ve seen competent, caring, and enthusiastic staff. They know music and their passion is infectious.
Additionally, this school has provided my kid with an alternative peer group that loves music as much as he does. It’s a drug/​alcohol free zone. The kids I’ve met here are on track for college too.

This is a fantastic place for your kids to learn to play an instrument! The teachers and staff are excellent and really care about the kids. Also, School of Rock has a very unique program. Kids participate in at least 4 shows per year with a wide variety of show themes. The shows are performed in public at different venues. It keeps them motivated and excited because the music and shows keep changing every season! I’ve had 2 kids at this school and we love it!

Communication is a definite WEAK point with this manager. Hard to get responses thus I’m still not a student.

My son has taken drum lessons elsewhere for over a year. And has only learned patterns. We came to School of Rock and he learned so much in just a few weeks! How to set up his drums. The idea of ear plugs for his sensitive ears. Picking out songs he likes so he can learn them with other kids.
His teacher is great! And he is really enjoying it! The lessons are twice a week so it keeps drumming in his head. It feels like he is on his way to be in a kid band instead of stuck in a sound proof room playing patterns.
We are very happy with the whole experience. The office manager is professional, smart and well organized. The teachers are talented and good to the kids. We will be here for a while! I look forward to my son’s concerts in the future!
PS — we have been to several concerts performed by a plethora of students. Very cool. Great experience!

Not the place to be. The owner of this place is rude and inappropriate with both the parents and the kids. He’s chauvinistic, egotistical and frankly just seems more interested in the money. He isn’t usually there all the time, but I wouldn’t risk my child in an environment like this. If you aren’t a musician and don’t seem to like kids, why would you open a place like this? Money? If you can avoid him, things may go smooth for awhile, but eventually you will see the light and run.
