The owner is super nice, and he will tell you about the orchids. BUT… This place is not wholesale, nor will you get wholesale pricing. You will find that the orchids come from the same California farms that supply Trader Joe’s and the various grocery chains. They even have the same pots, except that Orchids for You will charge you for them. I understand that he is a mom and pop store, so I was fine with spending the additional money that day to learn about his other orchid species. He charges $ 15 for orchids that are $ 9.99 at Trader Joe’s. He then charges you $ 3 for the pots that they actually come in if you bought them at Trader Joe’s. He has a loyalty card that requires you to spend $ 200 in order to receive 10% off your next purchase. So basically, it’s not worth it to buy here unless you are interested in learning about orchids and want to purchase other varieties of orchids that are not sold in grocery stores.

You may not notice this shop as I have driven by it for years. They were very helpful in having what I needed and answering my questions. Their prices as you’d expect with the high level of service and worth every penny. To my surprise with a minimum of care and room temps that vary from 60’s to 80’s, I have been able to grow(keep alive) several orchids and blooming. I thought some fertilizer was needed. I look forward to even better results.

The owner is helpful and will give you good advice on how to grow your orchids if you are new to it. They have a limited number of orchids in bloom have a good selection of orchids not in bloom for you to choose from. The website is misleading as their inventory is not updated frequently and you should call them ahead if you are looking for something specific. I have bought orchids from them 3 times, and from my experience, I think the orchids are slightly overpriced and some of the plants are not in great shape. Most of the orchids I have bought have rotted roots but I can’t really blame it on them as it is hard to judge the condition inside the pot. However some of the plants were not well-established – despite being told specifically that they were. I would go there again if they have something specific that I can’t find nearby and depending on what I need to with the orchids. In summary, I feel that the business is very profit oriented and is willing to sell lesser quality products to their customers. I have seen them pushing a half-dead(on-sale) orchid out at the same price as the ones you can get across the street at Giant supermarket.

well came in today because I’m looking into getting a better selection of Orchids and friends on facebook told me about this place, so as soon as i walked in I was blown away by all the Orchids and the help that i got from one of the people working there. He gave me alot of advice and sold me on some orchids and they weren’t priced high at all. definitely a must for me since they have a huge variety.

The store has a wide variety of orchids and it appears to be the only orchid specific florist in the area. The price is much more expensive than the ones you find from grocery/hardware stores but have been potted with better medium and better container to last year after year if proper care is provided.(Even the grocery store orchids can last and bloom annually if you know how to take care of them.) The owners seem to be very knowledgeable as well. However, be careful when you buy anything on sale or on clearance. From my experience, they needed immediate trimming and repotting as they came with rotten roots.

Despite the«Wholesale» name, this small store caters to all orchid aficionados as well novices with its good selection of reasonably priced orchid plants and supplies. The owner will patiently spend time answering any questions you have about orchids and will even repot your own orchid plants for you(for a small fee). If you’d like some knowledgeable assistance with orchid care and orchid plants in general, this is the place to go. Although the store is only opened on Fridays and weekends, you can call ahead to schedule a time to stop in during the week if it’s mutually convenient. Messages are usually returned promptly, so don’t hesitate to leave one.
