This is my second trip there and it only gets better. Had the Wild Mushroom pizza with goat cheese. Outstanding flavor and I’m a big fan of the thin crust. The place was buzzing on a Friday night and the service was quick and staff very helpful. I’ll be back again.

This place is fine if you’re craving pizza but don’t have the time to place an order at a big chain or don’t want a fancy sit down place. The people working here are friendly. I’ve had the Thai pizza and the mushroom blend. Both were made quickly, and the sizes were good for one person. Everything tasted okay, but I almost felt like I could have gotten a frozen pizza and it would taste very similar. I guess for the price it isn’t bad, but I wouldn’t make a special trip out here. I read some other reviews, and I think the same thing happened to my mushroom pizza — the three-type blend was forgotten, and I didn’t notice until late. The Thai pizza was fine, but the peanut sauce was too sweet for my liking, and after a few bites, the pizza became one-note. Also, the pizza does not keep well — I had a slice or two leftover, and upon eating it for lunch the next day, the texture and flavors just weren’t right. Bottom line: I think this pizza is a good option if you’re in a bind. It’s simple and quick.

I’m surprised by the negative reviews as well. My family of four had lunch here today and thought the pizza was solid. My young daughters loved the cheese pizza, I enjoyed their make your own and made a simple veggie toppings tomato-based pizza, and my husband had their Sicilian pizza. Their thin crust is pretty good, toppings were fresh, and serving time was fast(5 – 10 mins). A good lunch place with reasonable prices. They had a good amount of seating as well. We’ll definitely come back.

I tried this place the first day it was open. Pizza was just okay but did not make me what to go back for more. Just tried it again today. Wow what a difference the pizza was perfect. If you tried it in the past and wasn’t happy give it another chance. I will be going back it was very good!

I ate at this place several times and every single time their pizza was awesome! My favorites are bbq chicken, bianca, district white. My husband loved spicy shrimp pizza. Great thing is that you can add extra toppings for no extra charge, if you pizza is $ 10.95 which I guess counts as ‘build your own’. We also ordered pizzas for our work mettings 3 – 4 times since they opened. And every time pizzas were hot and delicious, ingredients fresh, and coworkers happy!

Surprised at the negative reviews. I just went here for the first time on Sunday and thought the pizza was delicious. I created my own pizza with unlimited toppings(chicken, prosciutto, wild mushrooms, garlic, mozzarella, and goat cheese.) The crust was really thin and crispy with a nice flavor, and the toppings were generous. Even my wife(who’s not a big pizza fan in general) thought it was really good. This is one of those places that only serves individual sized pizzas and reminds me of Firenza, but the taste and quality seem much better here. I’ll definitely go back.

This is a must try pie. Went in for lunch with my lady and got friendly counter service, garlic knots and a couple personal pizzas. One would be too small to split if you’re hungry, but neither of us finished and took some home for later. The crust is thin, fire roasted, yet not burnt(note, while still delicious, the Sicilian is not the ultra thick crust). Toppings are fresh and delicious, and the garlic knots were buttery, garlic goodness. They had craft beers in bottles, but that’s going to be attempted on the next visit, which will be soon.

I’m not sure why there are so many low reviews. I live across the street and am excited to try all the new places opening up in the area. If you like to customize your own pizza this place is great, you can choose whatever toppings you want from a large list, with no limits! I think most paves would charge 20+ $ for what we ordered and this was only 12 $. Also they had many sauce choices to choose from. We built two different custom pizzas, with tons of toppings, had leftovers for the next day and they were really good!

Recently stopped by Arosto after having a pedicure nearby. I ordered the Margherita and the Spicy Shrimp Thai. I tend to always go for very simple pizza but heard great things about the Spicy Shrimp Thai so figured give it a shot. Let me tell you I was so happy I did. Both were delicious but the Spicy Shrimp Thai was something that I would go back for. The location is great with being by the metro and family friendly. The staff was friendly and their manager was coming around asking guests about their meals and really cared about our experience and making sure the pizza was to our liking. Look forward to go back again.

Looking for a great pizza in the area and this one fit the bill. Ordered the spicy Thai shrimp and the flavors were excellent. Spicy just like it says. Will definitely be back.

My friends and I had lunch there, we ordered the supreme pizza, geek salad and one ordered the gluten free pizza! We all shared and we loved the thin crust, fresh ingredients and just the right amount of cheese! The salad was fresh, not to much dressing and hit the spot! We were all very happy with our meal. Look forward to going back, I want to try the Napa salad and the subs looked delicious!

Not a fan of the pizza here. District White: The ricotta from the spinach ricotta sauce was so grainy that it was just a textural nightmare! Its grainy feel was so overwhelming that you no longer want to finish the slice, let alone the whole pizza. Wild Mushroom: Ok menu says three types of mushrooms are used(cremini, shiitake, and portobello) but I only observed one on the actual pizza. In contrast, the goat cheese overwhelmed the pizza. Not a big ordeal if you want a goat cheese pizza but I wanted and was expecting a wild mushroom pizza. Overall, I don’t think I will come back until they improve the qualities of their pizzas. Two stars for their friendly and helpful staff.

Ordered for carryout. Nice to have a pizza place near Dunn Loring metro area. It was ready in the quoted 10 minutes or so. When I opened the box it looked kind of small and average but tasted a bit better than expected. I had the pizza with roasted red peppers, pepperoni and mushrooms. The cheese was plentiful which I liked. Crust is crispy. It’s about 10 inches and good for two people if you are not super hungry. The setting is casual and very clean, as it should be! I think it’s on par with the other new restaurants by it. I agree with a resident discount for the nearby apt/condo residents!

Very disappointing. Pizza crust was thin and dry. Didn’t look like freshly prepared pizza dough at all. We had leftover pizza to take home(which doesn’t usually happen for our family) and asked for a box. They gave us a smallish plastic container that was only big enough for one slice. We stacked the leftover pieces one on top of the other and it was a mess when we got home. Not sure why they didn’t give us a pizza box for the leftover ½ pizza.

We are excited about the new restaurant in town at the Dunn Loring metro(across from Merrifield Garden Center). The thin crusted pizza is the best! The dough is made fresh daily and the sauces are hand crafted. If you like a kick to your pizza, try the spicy thai. We also enjoyed the option of build your own pizza. Stop by and give it a try!

I can see Arosto from my bed/living room windows in Avenir Place. I was counting down the days for them to open. And then I ate there. What an incredible letdown. I ordered a Supreme pizza. What I got 10 minutes later was a wet, soggy mess that could only be eaten with a fork. The taste was completely bland. No spice in their red sauce, and no spice of any kind in their Italian sausage — which also looked like it hadn’t even been cooked. What little cheese was on the pizza was clumpy and tasteless. The mushrooms looked like they came out of a can. The whole experience was like eating tapioca pudding at the old folk’s home. How does one go wrong with a fire oven? Ask Arosto. They appear to have perfected mediocrity!

I work close by and have been waiting for Arosto to open and showed up on opening day. It’s a typical fast-casual place so you order at the register and there is plenty of seating if you want to eat there. There are a LOT of options for sauces(pesto, bbq, romano, spinach-ricotta, sesame, buffalo) and toppings. They have 12 specialty pizzas or you can build your own. I ordered their Margarita pizza and added prosciutto(no additional topping charge). This place is going to come down to your personal taste. The crust is super-thin which I’m fine with and I thought it had a nice subtle flavor to it. I’m not a fan of sweet tomato sauce on a pizza and theirs definitely has some sweetness to it so overall, it was just OK to me. I’ll definitely be back since they have so many options. I’m sure I’ll find something I like more. They also have sandwiches and salads for non-pizza eaters. The flow of the store could use some work. There are two doors and they both open to a row of seating. You order on the right side of the store but there isn’t a clear direction for the line to form. Also, if you want grated parmesan or chili flakes, you have to go to a bar in the corner instead of having it at the table. Overall, a decent pizza place that’s worth a try or two.

Disclaimer: Picture makes the pizza look WAY more tastier than it actually is. I was craving my late night go to snack.pizza. I know, don’t judge me. Anyway, I was craving my late night go to snack and the hubby agreed that we should order one. I suggested getting Arostos because they had just opened a couple days ago and I’ve been waiting patiently for them to open. The concept behind the restaurant is wood fired pizzas. The menu is simple, pre designed or make your own pizzas, a few sandwich options, and various salads. After review, we decided on our usual– pepperoni, sausage, and mushroom. I called it in and was told it would be ready in 8 – 10 minutes. We walked over and the place was pretty empty. I figured it was because they weren’t really advertised their opening. The pizza had just come out of the oven as I was finishing the transaction. Staff was friendly but my interaction was limited. We walked back across the street and I eagerly opened the pizza box. The pizza looked really sad and tasted even sadder. Temperature was lukewarm, sausage had no color, the mushrooms had that canned look, and the cheese was clumpy. My hubby added that the pizza had a day old taste to already. Maybe they are just working out kinks? I don’t know, maybe I’ll give them another try in a few months. Good luck to them.
