Plato’s Closet

It’s a shame that I have to agree with most of the current reviews as far as customer service. Not sure if it only applies to this location, but the snot-​noses they employ have zero sense of positive attitude.
They do however keep things very neat and organized, so I would be a hypocrite if I didn’t give them credit for that. The rudeness doesn’t apply to all of them. A few reps have been really nice and attentive.
If you are ever in the market to consign your threads, keep in mind that Plato’s closet is all about the teen mall brands — but not all. A general list of acceptable brands are A&F, VS PINK, AE, Hollister, Forever21 collections, Charlotte Russe, ‘some’ Express and ‘some’ H&M brands. Target brands for juniors are also accepted.
Be warned that they may not want your J. Crew, Eddie Bauer and GAP unless it’s targeted to teen fashions. And I also have to say that they will not want your Ecko Red or Sean Jean, even if they are new with tags. It’s not their demographic and we shouldn’t get mad at them for having one.
I am not sure what they look for in shoes, but I’ve seen some in really gross condition on sale here. Not even name brand ones! So I think it also depends on the season and what they are in need of. They may not always want your boot cut jeans if their rack is over stuffed. So do not get discouraged, just go to the next shop! If they rather give you $ 5 for your Forever21 top but skip on that silk blouse? Consider it a score. You can sell it on your own or take it to another consignment shop that will sell it FOR YOU!

Worst place I have ever been in my life. It was my first time going there and the lady was rude and mean to me for not knowing I could only bring about one big bag (with about 60 items in it). She looked through them and said she found 7 items she guessed so could take even though they were a little out of style. And offered me $ 13. Keep in mind all my clothes were in perfect condition, name brand, and new within the year. Worse service I have ever gotten. Also my clothes were all nicely folded and got them back thrown in there. Never going back in my life even if I was paid.

Store is alright. Sales associates are beyond rude. I have never seen such horrible service. After I saw my bag was ready to check out I waited at the counter for almost ten minutes for a sales associate to even acknowledge me… the sales associate was just standing there less than 2 feet from me! When she finally said something to me all she said was…“Do you need something?” I was so taken back by the RUDENESS of her. When she checked me out she did not even explain anything to me she just said, «We are giving you $ 22 for five of your items.» RUDE!
