1311 Bar & Grill

This is One of my Favorite places to go! Their Service, Their Food, and the atmosphere is always the greatest! I know they are closed now, but I’m hoping they will reopen!!!

Sadly I went there today and it is CLOSED.

Have the blackened catfish, the husband did and it was excellent, view was amazing this was a good choice :)

First of all, none of the taps were working so that was a pretty big disappointment. The place was pretty empty around 5 – 6 pm on a weekday. Me and the girlfriend both ordered burgers, mine was fairly good with the spicy mayo sauce, but hers was quite burnt. We liked the TV’s.

I think 1311 has some sort of borderline schizophrenia.
My first visit was during the day for lunch. The place was dead, but the food and service were good enough that on my next trip to Vicksburg, I wanted more. My next stop was at night and it was the complete opposite of my first experience.
It was very crowded, smoke filled and the only seats available were at the bar. Despite having two bartenders who weren’t serving customers, it took a long time to be acknowledged. For whatever reason the bartender decided she hated me. I know hate is a strong word, but let me explain. First, she rolled her eyes and gave me a «I will stab you» look when I asked if there were any IPAs on tap. Second, she brought my beer in a plastic cup when everyone else at the bar had their drinks in glasses. When I ordered round two I requested a glass. If the first look was «I’ll stab you» the look she gave at that request was one of «I’ll cut your heart out and eat it». Needless to say I was scared.
While we waited for our food order I did enjoy the people watching opportunities. This place seemed like a melting pot of different cultures and backgrounds. If you like observe rational humor, opportunities abound here.
When the food finally arrived, the second bartender delivered it. She seemed friendly enough unlike her counterpart. The food was mediocre and boring. Like the service, it was the complete opposite of my earlier visit. While we ate at the bar the mad bartender stood at the opposite end of the bar smoking and staring at me with hate in her eyes. I really wish I knew what I did to piss this girl off, but I never did learn.
It’s too bad this place couldn’t remain consistent. I really liked my first visit, but the second left me confused and wondering if I’d even considering going back.

Lots of beer and TV’s but the server was as cold as the beer. She could care less about how we were doing and when we asked for a beer sample she gave a mean look. I did not eat here so I can judge the food but the beer was cold and served in iced mugs.

Not impressed. Had to ask for the simplest things like napkins with dinner and got something not even close to what I ordered. Wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Just to be clear, this is a bar. They have great prices and specials on beer, and they even bring it to you in a chilled mug — That was a nice surprise. If you want to go here to drink, you’ll have a blast!
I didn’t go to this restaurant with the idea of going to a bar. I went to this restaurant for dinner. There are about 5 tables, with another room of seating in the back that was not in use. Between getting an overcooked entrée and a cold appetizer, the appetizer coming out after the dinner, and an incorrect bill made it pretty clear I will not return. To top it off, the service was absolutely atrocious. It likely would have been better if we were sitting at the bar.
Also, one personal pet peeve is that I cannot stand is when a server brings you the bill and then kind of hovers around you until you sign, as soon as you sign and begin to stand up, they run over and grab the bill to make sure you didn’t «stiff them». I’ve never not left a tip. Please don’t stereotype me.

I stopped in for lunch on a Sunday and it was completely empty. That made me a little nervous that the food would be not so good. Thankfully it was anything but.
I ordered a burger (the Vicksburger) and it was solid. Hand formed and cooked to order. I could hear the sizzle when the chef placed it on the grill. The service here is as great as the burger and although it’s a sports bar by night don’t let this deter you during the day. A really great place to eat lunch on a Sunday.

Wow! I can’t believe this place doesn’t have a review. By far the coolest bar and restaurant in Vicksburg. I had the «Bad Mother Clucker» ck sandwich with deep fried green beans. They had 16 draft beers of which i samples three :) while watching one of the many 10+ flat screen TVs… this IS the spot
