ah wal-mart, the place you love to hate or hate to love. i have a few fond memories of when i was in my late teens and early 20s being broke and sober and having nothing to do, so my friends and i would go here late at night just for something to do. obviously, it’s cheap and convenient, and that’s why people go here. i really do try to find things in other places before i go here, but sometimes i come here as a last resort, and not every time i find what i’m looking for. other times i do find exactly what i was looking for at other stores and coudn’t find, but i still feel guilty buying things here because of how they pay their workers. one big gripe that i have is that they have very little, if any, NY Mets merchandise. i really wanted to get a shirt or a hat earlier, but all i could find was NY Giants, NY Yankees, and BU Bratcats merch. The Mets just won the National League Championship, let’s see some damn support! Their clothing is hit or miss. i usually come here in the fall looking for flannel shirts, and while they have them, they don’t have any that i like. they sell Dickies work clothes, which is nice, and i also use their cheap jeans for work too, but when it comes to casual clothes to wear out in public i don’t like any pants they sell here. They also sell Pink Floyd shirts. Pink Floyd is boring and lame, they should sell NY Mets shirts instead. finding swim trunks here in August was also very difficult, it boggles my mind that they didn’t have them in stock before labor day, a lot of people go swimming on labor day weekend. They do have a lot of pros for their grocery section. they are one of the cheapest places you can get cashews, which are great on brownies. they have an ok selection of BBQ sauces and hot sauce. lots of good frozen foods and an ok bakery. they used to have these soda cakes there a while back and they were really good but i haven’t seen them there in years. they also used to have ok donuts, and they were super cheap if you bought them late at night, but they stopped selling those because there’s a dunkin donuts in the store now. one reason i go here is because they are one of only 2 places around that sells a certain cut of meat i like at a decent price. i’m not gunna tell you what it is though because i don’t want you Unilocalers buyin it before i do next time i want it! i wouldn’t buy their ribs or pork shoulders though, the brand they use packs their pork with a salt solution as a preservative, you’re better off going to wegmans for fresher meat. their electronics department is decent. sometimes i feel like i paid too much for new releases knowing that a few months down the road they would be a lot cheaper, but that’s my fault for being impatient. they do have some deals that are too good to pass up though. overall, you should really be supporting other businesses, but sometimes this place is hard to pass up. i do like the self checkout, but even with that sometimes the lines are too long. i’ve been there before when i didn’t find the main thing i wanted but still found a few other things, and then i saw the long lines and set my stuff down and left. at least sometimes you can get some good people watching stories out of the place.

Located at Town Square Mall, this Walmart supercenter is very well managed. I always get assistance anytime I need help finding something.

I’ve been to Walmart so many times that I could probably navigate the store with my eyes closed. They basically have everything that you need, but their groceries are lacking. Some things are just of bad quality, while there are just some things that you can’t find. But that’s okay, Walmart, I still love you regardless. I always come here to buy things that I need, but I usually end up buying so much more. Everything is so cheap, but it quickly adds up when you buy so much. And then I end up spending like $ 50+ on things I don’t really need… like a Christmas mug, a cow pillow pet, 3 pounds of gummy bears… the list goes on.

I don’t know why I am writing a review for Walmart but I ‘ve been to this place over a hundred times. An essential to every college student. You can come here with 100 bucks and feel like a millionaire. Everything is so cheap. The sales associates are either a hit or miss, miss most of the time since the store is so big. I don’t expect to know where everything is.

Its Walmart. You know what to expect. And at this location, you will find it. Super Huge, and Super Busy, but they have it all, grocery to tires. I hope you only come here to find something you have not been able to find in a smaller local store, remember, all the profits here leave the area, but if you cant find it anywhere else, it will be here. I use the«self checkout» and have not had any issues there, but I will say the lines for the checkout people were long. I did find the parking here to be difficult(at best) and some of the other patrons very aggressive, both in driving in the lot as well as cart management in the store.

This store is very large and they literally have everything your going to need. From groceries to electronics to things around the house. The staff is really helpful and the prices are obviously great. But because of its large size, finding things can sometimes take a long time and a lot of walking. Overall, really well kept and saves you a lot of money.

This is my favorite place in the world. Many a night has been spent at Walmart, for so many different, wonderful reasons. Need an impromptu Halloween costume? Walmart. Five dollar B rated horror movie from the 70s for your film class? Walmart. Two weeks worth of frozen quesadillas and store brand soda? Walmart. New pet? Walmart. Baby formula, a Subway sandwich, thermal underwear and a firearm? You guessed it. Walmart. Man, we need one of these on Staten Island.

Hi, Walmart of Binghamton University/Vestal, I love you so much. This is the biggest Walmart I’ve ever stepped into. I used to be one of those people that was like, «ew, Walmart sucks» but I’m SO converted now. I walked in and it was as if I found the promise land. ITHASEVERYTHING. I found this fragrant vanilla coffee here that I couldn’t find in the Walmarts back at home. It’s also 24HOURS!!! Am I the only one who enjoys grocery shopping at 2am? Maybe so but I’m sure there’s a few of you around that enjoy peace, quiet and NOLINES. I don’t even go to BU and I’m telling ya, this Walmart is one of the reasons why I would go back to visit my best friend. Also, I just searched for a 24hr AND grocery included Walmart near me… it’s 42 miles away… in Connecticut. Bummer.

Wait, wait, wait! This 24 hour SUPER store has ONE review?! General student population of Binghamton University — I am disappointed. This is the ultimate, cleanest, most brightly lit walmart in zee worldddd. You walk in thinking you only need some paper towels and onions, you walk out with over $ 85 of items you talked yourself into believing are«necessities.» Darn you! But, really — thank you, twas fun! I think 75% of my waitressing money throughout college went to walmart. sigh. They really ARE the cheapest around, and you get to see the strangest folks there, man — Binghamton townies are something else, and we love you. PS. Chris Brown and Rihanna were spotted here at 3am, after their tour upstate somewhere :) Pre freak out abuse. But then again, someone was shot here over some. newly released gaming system. Weird, weird, weird — I love and miss it!

Getting a shot. Paying taxes. Going to Wal-Mart…what are«painful necessities of life?» Sure the prices are low, probably lower than anywhere else. But in order to earn those low prices, you have to deal with epically long lines at the checkout, the rudest possibly dressing room attendants, and worst of all — the general public(on one such occassion, the elderly gentleman on the Rascal scooter who wears a sweatshirt and baseball cap covered in Bible quotes in puff paint cut ahead of me in line. Apparently, «love thy neighbor» does not apply in Wal-Mart). Here’s an irony: the store is big enough to have its own zipcode, and yet, it doesn’t carry/is frequently out of most of the products I try to find there. And what if, God forbid, you need to find something random, like… a chip clip? Is it in Grocery? Housewares? Apparently neither. But with so much uncertain about Wal-Mart, there is one thing that is certain: you will always have one too many purchases to qualify for the«express lane»(which is still painfully slow, ironically enough), and as soon as you make it to the front of your checkout line, you will remember that one thing you forgot… all the way in the back of the store.
