I met my aunt here for lunch. She got the chicken wrap and I got the gyro wrap and both got fries. Our waitress brought out our wraps when they were ready and with a smaller portion of fries and she said she didn’t want us to have to wait for the fries to be done and would bring us some when they were ready. She did just that. It was nice that she brought us what was ready and we were able to get started on lunch since my aunt had limited time and had to get back to work. All of the food was delicious. Great spot for lunch. I will have to go back and try their breakfast!

Simple dinner with a Greek touch. Had gyros that was done well. The omelette looked good as well. Good service. Rated 3 as over all restaurants score compared to others. As a dinner it might be a 4. Simple to the point. Good for breakfast or lunch.

Consistently good breakfast. Service is great, even if there is a line, it moves quickly. Food is consistently good, staff is friendly and Petr has his eyes on everything to make sure it is right.

Great food and atmosphere. The waitresses were amiable, the food came out quickly, and it was reasonably priced. I loved the blueberry pancakes and also ordered a side of bacon. You know a diner is good when there are tons of pies and muffins in a case waiting to be eaten at 9am!

Strong candidate for breakfast or lunch in Binghamton. Fast service. Best spanakopita we’ve had in years. Same goes for the rice pudding. Hallmarks of quality greek diners. My tuna melt was good, though they are served open-faced unless you request otherwise. Coffee is good enough that Pete actually sells packets of his branded blend to the public. Only downside is there’s no counter at which to sit at this diner.

This is an excellent restaurant to eat some good food! it tastes like home cooking and it is run by one of the most knowledgeable family business owners in this area and it shows in the food quality the service and the prices.

Perfection is a fickle thing, but Pete’s diner and associated staff has caught the essence of it. I am not a local, but the food was singularly outstanding and if I am ever in town again, I will certainly be ordering another round of chicken and rice soup and a deluxe burger. Jocelyn’s service was heartwarming and charming, and left myself and my buds with smiles as we strolled out of the joint. If you don’t think a single piece of bread can be turned into a five star appetizer, then I invite you to test the waters.

this place is decent, but i wouldn’t rate it as the best around, the food is just as good as any other diner in the area. that said, i think i would rather go to skylark than petes. i’ve only had breakfast here but their lunch menu didn’t really have anything unique that would make me want to come back and try it. so for breakfast i’ve tried their pancakes, french toast, and breakfast sandwiches. the pancakes were good, standard diner pancakes. the french toast was a little soggy, and a full order is only 2 slices where i feel most places have 3 as a full order. the home fries are ok. not the best i’ve had locally but definitely not the worst either. i tried the western breakfast sandwich on a bagel. the bagel was good, but the description on the menu said it was ham, onions, peppers, and egg, i thought they would be on there separately but they were all mixed into an omelette and topped with cheese. it was ok but i’d rather have a full slice of ham on there. the other breakfast sandwich i tried was bacon egg and cheese on a hardroll. i wasn’t impressed with the roll or the quality of the bacon on it. the place itself has nice paintings on the wall and it’s a nice atmosphere. the service is good too. i noticed one review on here where they complained about the owner kicking them out after their meal was done. while i understand that that could be pretty frustrating, but at the same time imagine if you were one of the hungry people in line waiting to be seated and there’s a table with people just drinking coffee on a full stomach.

The service was great and we got seated immediately. They made sure our table was clean and made sure to get us our food and check quickly. The portions are also good and the food was tasty. I recommend their greek omelette.

I was at Pete’s today with 2 of my friends celebrating my birthday. After eating our meal one of the owners came to our table and told us we had been there too long and that we couldn’t sit here«chatting» all morning and we were asked to leave! He said a large group had left because he couldn’t give them a table. Last time I checked that’s not my problem, but theirs. Never before have I ever been treated so rudely. I certainly will not return to this establishment!

Excellent pancakes and the challah french toast is perrrrrfect. The staff is friendly and accommodating and we didn’t have to wait at all to be seated mid-Saturday!

Very good food. But the seating at the booths is so tight only very thin people can sit in comfort.

The best diner in the area by far… the food isn’t greasy, it tastes fresh, and the staff is always polite. There is a line 9 times out of 10 but it moves quickly and just goes to show how much other people like this diner.

The bread is amazing! It’s homemade at a local bakery, huge, and delicious. All of the other food is good and filling as well. If you’re lucky Pete himself will be there to great you and give you a huge smile. We’ve been going to this place since we were freshman and always pick this diner over others in the area for its consistently good service and food. They’re great about separate checks and accommodating large parties. Just remember, there’s booth seating so you’ll get split up if you come in a group larger than six.

After 3 trips I am not impressed. The first time was for breakfast and it was just ok. Twice I ordered the lunch special; one time it was cold, the second time it was just warm. Despite asking for the gravy on the side, there was gravy all over it and more on the side). Very clean bathroom. Service is friendly and attentive, however, I will not be returning.

As far as diners go, this is the pinnacle. This is what you hope every diner would be like. They brew a decent cup of coffee, make their own bread, have good sized portions of food with moderate to low prices. For example, a cup of coffee with two eggs, toast, and home fries is going to cost you probably around $ 5. You could probably find that same deal down at Danny’s on Main but you’d be missing out on the homemade toast and the delicious home fried potatoes with onions. Besides, I find Danny’s a little on the greasy side. Pete’s skips most of the grease and seems to be, for the most part, pretty high quality stuff. If someone came into town, this is the place I would take them for breakfast. Not Denny’s, not IHOP, not Parkway Diner, Pete’s is where I would take them.

This is probably one of my favorite diners in the area. I’ve never had a less than pleasant experience here, even when I’ve arrived with hordes of people without notice. Ever so accommodating and friendly, the staff and(usually) Pete usher you in with a warm welcome. The food is fresh, tasty and cheap! I know there are diners in the area that are cheaper, but for the portion size and the quality of the food, I’d say that the menu offerings are definitely of great value. Service is also very quick; you’re not kept waiting very long, whether you’re waiting for a table or for your food. I’ve been to plenty of diners on Long Island, and Pete’s ranks fairly high against them. It manages to transcend the negative stigma of «typical diner food» by simply providing great food with quality service.

Coming from LI, I am not used to a plate of eggs, toast and homefries costing $ 3.45 or a burger costing $ 3.55(It’s usually closer to $ 8!). For the price, you don’t just get average food but the best diner food I have ever had. The homefries are really great. Crispy and crunchy and simple. The whole wheat toast is perfect; buttery but not dripping, never burnt, with real whole grains in it. The eggs are cooked to perfection. I’ve also tried the waffle which is so light and sweet. I don’t think I’ve ever tasted better! The service is insanely, ridiculously, excessively friendly and cheerful and the food comes out FAST. One time we ordered and the food was out in about 5 minutes. I also would like to note how CLEAN this diner is which I’m pretty picky about. I usually base my opinion of a place by how skeevy their ketchup looks and their ketchup always look like they put a fresh one on the table just for us. Also the layout and décor is pleasing to me for some reason. It’s not your typical tacky, fluorescent diner atmosphere. It’s just simple and pleasant. The only drawback to Pete’s is the wait, especially on Sunday mornings, since it’s not that big of an establishment. We’ve never waited more than 15 minutes but it might be better to go before or after the church crowd rush.

Typical diner layout. Clean and friendly staff. Food is always fast and fresh. The menu is not huge, but good choices. The staff is very friendly, even during rush hours. The dessert menu is good. Convenient and easy to get to location.

average diner, nothing all that exciting, good hash browns. seemed reasonably priced, coffee refills were limited to two, but i didnt get to that point. i went with my mother who gets EVERYTHING special order, i asked her, when was the last time you ordered something without changing it up(the waitress nightmare?) she went silent. she pulled that again here and they gave her exactly what she wanted, but then she didnt like it, said it didnt come out right, looked like it came out exactly like she wanted it to be. oy oh and i think there was a feud going on with the other diner next door, i didnt get into any drama on that story though
