Say I Do

Owner Adrienne is as kind as she is knowledgeable about the selection at Say I Do. She’s a pleasure to work with and always has a positive attitude and cheerful disposition despite getting pulled into a million directions at once. She’s allowed me to come in multiple times to try on my top contender dress and is very responsive over email when I inquire about coming in-​store. When I let her know that I was struggling to find a veil because of an allergy to tulle, she was kind enough to let me take home a veil to try it out for a few days and ensure I didn’t have a negative reaction to the fabric before purchasing. She even went so far as to say she’d talk to her veil designer and see if any solutions or alternate materials that could work for me and my specific needs.

The owner is lovely BUT there are a lot of limitations at this store, if you are looking for a wedding dress.
1) They only sell 3 designers.
2) They mostly have mermaids and ballgowns
3) The staff member that I worked with was not very knowledgeable.
Allow me to expand upon #3. I came in with 3 print outs and several pictures of what SHAPE I was interested in. My sales person glanced at them for about 2 seconds, then invited me to rifle through the entire rack of dresses myself, pointing out ballgowns and mermaid dresses, even jersey knits (when I asked for lace/​satin trumpet). After selecting MY OWN dresses, we settled into the dressing room where she did not help me in or out of the dresses, barely touched me, did not use the clips. Just kinda stood there like HM. Of course, most dress shops carry small sample size, which I expected. Some worked and some didn’t. It was the salesperson’s reaction and lack of help that really turned me off. I was literally wearing a size 12 Kors coat so I cannot imagine that I am the first person to not fit into a sample size 6 at that salon. Beyond the size issue, she was not knowledgeable about what trumpet even meant, nor did she know her stock, which I think is funny, considering they only carry less than 50 gowns.
I have been to three other bridal salons that were much more knowledgeable. Save yourself the hassle.

Folks the shop is quaint, well kept, and located in a well groomed corner of NJ — Verona. I came to this shop without an appointment back in October. I found a dress that was absolutely gorgeous. Today, a little under a month before my wedding, sadly I realized that I had surpassed my budget and had to return it. Upon entering the shop she excused herself from a customer who was browsing and met with me. Adrienne Castellanos, the owner/​operator was understanding and accommodating. I wholeheartedly recommend that if you are seeking the appropriate nuptial accouterments — dresses/​suits etc in vintage formats that you come here. She is the consummate professional placing the needs of the customer first.

Came here with no appointment just to look. As soon as we walked in, it was totally a judgement free zone. The owner and the assistant, I believe her name is Amanda, were fantastic. This is my first time gown shopping so I did not buy a dress during this instance, but I was so happy I came here. Truly lovely people, work with your budget, look to get your input. I described a gown completely opposite of what ended up looking great on my short, but curvy frame. I am glad I went with an open mind since I had no true idea other than the ones in my mind of a type of gown.
I don’t know how my dress shopping will go but I am definitely giving them my business when the opportunity truly arises.

I couldn’t be happier with experience.
I first went during a sample sale and didn’t see anything I liked. The owner was willing to work with me knowing my budget, but I was a very simple bride with simple tastes. They told me to look at some of the floor length bridesmaid’s gowns and told me they could be ordered in white if they better suited my taste. I ended finding a classic looking lace dress… with a great price tag. Everyone was incredibly accommodating and made me feel at ease without being pushy or phony. I don’t plan on needing their wedding services again but would absolutely recommend them!

Thanks to Adrienne and her team, my wedding dress shopping experience was a dream. They gave me personalized attention missing from larger shops and were refreshingly upfront. I purchased a sample gown, went for one fitting, and had the final product back in weeks. Adrienne went above and beyond to give me that dream dress. Because I didn’t care for the sash on the sample, she ordered a new one from the manufacturer in the color that I wanted and replaced it. The whole process went so smoothly, and I highly recommend Say I Do for your wedding needs.
