The staff was real slow. I mean real slow. They lacked organization. Ordered the charcuterie board and was told they were out of a cheese that was supposed to be in it. Asked if they could sub something else out. Well we got the board and they were out of a meat and said we put parmesan instead. We specifically didn’t want that and they took it upon themselves to disregard our request and not tell us they were out of the meat choice. The place is decent in décor but I won’t be back here again.

I was in Vero Beach for a week with friends. Grind and Grape was my morning go-to for coffee and to do some work on my laptop(they have free wifi). The coffee is good and the service is great. It quickly became apparent that the locals think so, too. Lots of regulars greeted by name as they came in. Some linger, some take their coffee and go. In the evenings, Grind and Grape serves wine and beer, too, and usually have live music around 7:30/8pm. I highly recommend making Grind and Grape your go-to when visiting or staying in Vero Beach.

This place has been a real disappointment. Before it opened, we all thought it was going to be a nice coffee(Grind) and wine bar(Grape), because the building has a lovely patio. We’ve been there numerous times in the morning in hopes of having a pleasant coffee drink on their patio. Typically the place is dirty as all get out, presumably from the night before– trash on the floor of the patio, dirty ashtrays, unwiped tables, and music so loud you can’t have a conversation, even though it may only be 9am. Last Sunday morning we tried this place again, this time at 10am. The condition of the patio was same– grungy and dirty, and we asked if the music could be turned down. The waitress said that the live jazz was going on, even though it was an hour away. So we were bombarded with loud thumping music and the repeating phrase«Sexy girls» at 10am on a Sunday morning. You would think that if they are open they would want business, but by the looks of things they are doing their best to drive away morning business. No wonder Cravings, a half block away, does a great morning business and G&G is empty, or close to it. Sad to see. When we’ve gone in the evening, likewise the music is blasting at a zillion decibels, and populated with the drunk set. So much for a nice wine bar. Very disappointing.

Went to Vero today to check it out and have a glass of wine. The wine and top shelf liquor selection were nice. Didn’t eat. They had a band, which was covering Van Morrison. I wish they would turn down the amps a bit. It makes it hard to chat with the music so loud. I’m not a fuddy duddy either.(30’s) So sit inside if you want to chat. The music can still be heard loud and clear inside. Other than that, the staff was nice and friendly.

We love this spot, I can understand the ordering system might be a little confusing for folks but we have experienced great food and tasty drinks each time we’ve been here. Doesn’t hurt that the music is lovely as well!

We were staying at Coste d’ Este, Gloria Estefan’s beautiful resort, and stumbled upon this quaint wine bar. It was right across the street, and so conveniently located. The band started to set up just as we were seated outside. It was a perfect night to sit under the stars, and sip Prosecco with this wonderful jazz band playing to the sounds of Gershwin. The cheese and crackers were average nothing to rave about. The band was wonderful a little bit of jazz with a Latino flare! Many older couples enjoyed dancing to the music. It was a very relaxing atmosphere that we very much enjoyed. We would highly recommend this wine bar for a romantic evening with your loved one or just socializing with a group of friends

I recently dined there with a friend. The atmosphere was nice — great music wafting out to the street. We were drawn in by the band and quickly found a high top outside on the patio so as not to be blasted by the music. From there it was all downhill. Server showed up and asked for our order which we offered up right away since it was a little after 9pm. She insisted on taking a credit card, which in retrospect should have been a red flag that we would not see her again. We ordered 2 glasses of wine, steamed clams and lobster Mac and cheese. The food came in pretty decent time but was dropped off without checking to see if we were all set. We had no silverware so enjoyed the music and waited for the server to come back and check on us. Wasn’t going to happen, so I got up and had to go to the kitchen to request some silverware. The young man handed me a fork and knife so I headed back to the table thinking we could use our cocktail napkins but discovered we didn’t even get those. Started eating and waited for the server to come by again. No such luck. Saw her walk out to the patio once but she didn’t even glance our way and she was gone before I could get up and run to her. Went back in to get napkins from the same young man at the kitchen. Now that we had napkins I could finally dig into the clams. Noticed that 4 were not open at all and 1 was just barely open. Waited AGAIN and then went in AGAIN to speak to the young man in the kitchen. He said he would get our server to come check on us. Once again she came out to the patio and didn’t even come close to our table. I went back in once again and finally she came out. Told her we would like our check and we wanted the clams removed from the bill. She came back with my friend’s credit card and bill and said they would not be removing the clams. I asked to speak to the manager(Saturday night at around 10pm). Was told there was none in duty(!) and that the manager doesn’t get there until later. I took the check inside the restaurant and found a woman behind the bar who seemed to be in charge. She agreed to remove the clams from the check as I explained our experience to her. All in all a very upsetting experience and will not be visiting this establishment again. There are many other friendly restaurants who care about customer service just steps away. We were treated poorly and received disrespectful and dishonest service. The only redeeming thing about the place is their choice of great bands.

Wonderful Evening Entertainment! The place was quaint and cozy. One could sit inside or out. The wine bar had a great selection. The cappuccino and espresso were good. The gelato tasted just like in Italy. Give it a try during the evening.

We went two consecutive nights of our 4 day stay near Vero if that tells you anything! The hummus plate was good — never thought to put capers in my hummus but will from now on! The other ladies raved about the fish dip and wanted to order another plate(I don’t eat meat so I can’t speak for it). We also got chocolate cake, bread pudding, cheesecake, French press for 4 and they were all top notch. No decaf for French press but if they grind the beans on site I’m not sure why that wasn’t possible… We loved the atmosphere, the bands, the crowd and the waitresses. This place gets very busy on the weekends so don’t expect to see waitresses at your table every 5 minutes. The only thing I wish was different was putting a pitcher of water on the table so we didn’t have to wait for that.

We passed this place earlier today and were drawn in by the live music. Returned for dinner tonight. Live music continued until 8(on Sunday). We sat at the bar, had wine(great selection by the glass), chips and queso, and the cheeseburger flatbread. The young staff was friendly, efficient and hard working. We were disappointed the Tides was«sold out», but this was a good dining experience.

Solid evening love music, great food and nice wine selection. A fine coffeehouse by day with a fresh gelato bar. Outdoor/indoor seating is all comfortable and inviting.

Cool local spot to check out… definitely a huge amount of outdoor seating. Café during the day, chill/laid back bar at night. I went on a Tuesday night, and they had a band playing… seemed like everyone was into it. It got a little loud after awhile, so we decided to hang outside which made it easy. Love places where you can move around if needed and not stuck in one spot. I’d say the bartenders were not so friendly, and after ordering our drinks… we were never approached after that if we needed anything. The atmosphere, seating and the drink selection is great. I’m not on vacation here but it seemed like most of the people in the place were. One of the locals at the place told me they have events on different nights, I’ll definitely be coming back to check it out.

I read through the reviews first before writing my own and have visited the G & G many times. I couldn’t help but notice that the two star reviews are written by whining babies, people who just don’t get it and probably never will. G & G is not without its faults, I grant the whining babies that, but it has a great vibe especially on Tuesday night Blues Night. Sure, service could improve, so what. What place has everything perfect. The only complaint I can legitimately make is it’s too bad there isn’t a way for Unilocal to screen out all the whining, judgmental, quick-to-criticize, pansies that can’t lighten up a bit. By the way, I don’t work there or know anyone there or have any affiliation in any way. I’m just tired of reading unfair reviews and have made it my mission to counter bad comments when they’re not warranted. Buena Onda G&G!!!

Super cute place! Great place to do homework in the day. The service isn’t the best though, one women in particular didn’t provide the best customer service though, she was kind of rude to my friend and I. She asked to see if they had any blueberry muffins so she went to check in the back but never gave us an answer so my friend had to ask again, also we weren’t really sure what we wanted to drink and didn’t offer any recommendations. Mostly she seemed to be very impatient and not providing any service of any kind.

There is plenty of southern hospitality here from the staff. Ordered the brewed coffee in their endless mug that tasted fresh n savory(got 2 refills =D). Friend ordered the cappuccino that came with a cute sugared stick to add sweetness. Ordered a side of cheese cake that was tasty but on the sweet side for me. Definitely will be back to enjoy a hot mug of fresh coffee lounging outside on their sofas

My favorite spot in Vero Beach!!! A fantastic place to enjoy a perfectly brewed morning coffee on their breezy patio. Be sure to come back in the evening as this place transforms into a lively yet intimate wine bar with phenomenal live music!

I’m not sure how to review this place. I came in, hoping there was wifi, to do do some school work. There may have been, but there was not indication of such and after ordering and paying, the employees never came around to ask if I needed anything. Prices were comparable to Starbucks, but the quality was not. It was a nice quiet place, but that’s because there wasn’t anyone there. Their pastries were from a local bakery/cupcake place. Overpriced, just like at that particular place. I’m not a fan of that bakery either but tried the guava pastry, thinking it would be good since they just opened. It wasn’t fresh, as though it was in the case for a few days. Flavor was just Ok. My iced coffee was odd. A little on the strong side, but completely flavorless… if that’s possible. I thought it was because it was hot brewed poured over ice, but I’m not sure. I doctored it up with some cream and sugar. They only have granulated sugar to sweeten it which means it never dissolved. The décor is kitschy and a bit hipster. I hope they are just working out the kinks of being a new establishment. I’d love to update the review with more stars.

Slow, inept service. It appeared there was plenty of staff for the small crowd, but that was not the case. Even when considering the freshness of it’s opening(approx 3 days), staff should be adequately trained how to locate, serve and complete a drink order without the patron practically walking behind the bar and assisting them. Using a credit card apparently adds another few minutes to the process. Way overpriced for a non-beach side bar. A bottle of beer and a glass of wine was over $ 20. The staff came around with free samples of their flatbread(which was actually pretty good), but it’s unclear if this will continue since it was less than a week after their grand opening. We were never offered a food menu. They’re open in the morning for coffee and pastries, but we stopped by at night. They have a band area, but it’s poorly executed in such a small space. It’s close to impossible to have a conversation with a group, even when you’re out on the patio area. There is a pretty good size seating area outside, unfortunately it was raining most of the day and it is mostly uncovered. This location used to be Blue Star(which relocated elsewhere in VB) and from what I gather from its previous regulars, Grind + Grape pales in comparison. It will attract sporadic tourists & snowbirds who are unfamiliar with the area, but I do not see locals flocking to this location unless it is able to work out the kinks before a poor reputation results.
