you go here because it’s loud and the kids can play and be loud-ish and no one side-eyes you because your kids are being kids. the food is good, the beers are plentiful, and the service is great.

Not impressed. We orded fish and chips. To call it a meal that one would go out for is a stretch. The fish was freezer isle breaded fish patties. Like fish sticks.

Good food, good atmosphere, good service. No complaints. I will be back to try more dishes. Our server Danielle deserves a special shout out. She was cool.

NEVER disappoints. Starting right out of the gate with St Pauli as the non-alcoholic beer — no awful chemical soda. The Berkshire pork burger is RIDICULOUS in texture and flavor. Brioche roll stands up stoutly to the bun-size moist patty. The plate is rounded out by a perfect amount of fries(sweet potato if you please), so the burger is the star of the plate. Tonight’s attentive, swift service provided by Kelly.

Personally, I love this place. I’ve been coming here since they opened when I was in high school and love it. The burgers are good, salads are on point(my all time favorite is their cobb salad) and the service is friendly and accommodating. The only con is the parking lot is GODAWFUL but it always has been even before this place was at this location. Now that it’s super packed all the time, trying to find parking can be a bit of a chore, but the food is worth it. Bar area is nice and the drinks are good too.

This place sticks out like a sore thumb that’s been kissed by mom, if you know the pleasantry of how that feels. An out-of-towner, I felt right at home. The steak was cooked an absolutely perfect medium(which isn’t common nowadays), the manhattan’s had nice pours, and the service was excellent; Becca was her name. She used all her professionalisms, gave me an extra luxardo-esque cherry for my bourbon to soak, and never touched above the top half of the glass. Despite the frozen French fries, this place is a diamond in the rough for this New Hampshire boy. Between the fantastic service, the«perfect medium» home-cooked meal, and the sports ambiance, 5*‘s. Go there and give them your hard-earned money! They’ve earned it.

I got the broccoli and chicken pasta and it was AMAZING– pretty garlic-y but I loved it! Portion was large enough to take home a second meal for the next day. Nice atmosphere. Had to park on the hill in back because it was packed(despite there being plenty of room inside and no wait), which kinda sucked, but it was worth it!

This place is alright to hang out at for a game but I have yet to be impressed by the food. The tap list is decent, though, and the wait staff and bartenders always seem nice.

Now we’ve given WNT three chances and unfortunately they’ve struck out. Poor service, misleading kid’s menu(cheese pizza advertised as «fresh mozzarella» but clearly was a mix of several smelly cheeses — child refused to eat), and VERY weak drinks(I actually questioned if there was ANY liquor in my drink)…we have decided not to visit again.

Love this location. I’ve seen restaurants come and go in this location at least on 3 ocassions but I think this place is going to stay. Always packed. There isn’t a night this place is empty. Probably one of the most popular restaurants in Vernon besides Reins Deli. My favorite choices are the Ahi Tuna app, buffalo and habanero wings, quesidillas, and cherry cosmos. It’s also great in the bar area too where they play major sports games on the big TVs, and sometimes have live music. The service is really good and I don’t have any complaints. They are really attentive. I come here at least twice a month to indulge!

I mainly go here for their signature drinks. I’ve had a few meals here, and all have never disappointed me. My favorite appetizer is their spinach dip. One of the best in the area to me!

Sometimes I get so caught up with trying new spots or heading to current favorites that I forget how much I enjoy Wood-n-Tap. Yesterday, after realizing both Tisane and Firebox(my go to happy hour destinations) were closed for a few days, my friend and I went over to the Tap. I’m really glad we did. Solid, solid bar & grill food, a continuously evolving tap list, highly decent cocktails, and a wonderful happy hour. We got chicken sliders and white sangrias while sitting outside watching the traffic flow by and feeling lucky about not being stuck in rush hour. I’m a huge fan of the nachos here. Even the half portion is enormous and there’s cheese on every chip. What more does a person need? Other favorites include the cobb salad with crispy chicken and the lobster grilled cheese(only on the summer specials menu as far as I know). Ambiance isn’t much but for a tasty, reliable, inexpensive meal, the Tap is always a good choice.

We always have a good experience when we dine here. Today was no exception. Lydia our server was great. She was witty and kept up with our sarcasm. I ordered the lobster grilled cheese off of their seasonal menu. It was scrumptious. Tender buttery lobster and gooey havarti cheese can not be beat. My hubby stuck with his typical bar bites. They were cooked perfectly and had the smokey grill flavor he loves. My son had the the kids grilled cheese which came with white cheese.(Those with picky eaters will understand the importance of the color of the cheese!) We received a free dessert for checking in on Unilocal. We chose crème brûlée and destroyed it. There was a chocolate ganache on the bottom… amazing! We will be back for sure. Oh, I almost forgot to mention the yummy blueberry lemonade cocktail I enjoyed.

First time at the Vernon location. Didn’t disappoint. Beer was ice cold although Guinness was a tad expensive at $ 6.25. Wife has wings(barbecue) and they were very good. Nice meaty wings with right amount of sweet and tangy barbecue sauce. I had the Reuben which was excellent. Piled high with corned beef on marbled rye. Side of sweet potato fries which had an up charge. Only complaint was they had a lot of smaller pieces but otherwise were very good. As a bonus had a free dessert from checking in with the app. We chose Crème Brûlée which was very good. Had a chocolate ganache in the bottom which was a nice touch. Overall a very good experience. Will go back. We had outdoor seating which was a bit loud from traffic noise but not overbearing.

— Stopped in here for happy hour and had a good time. I didn’t get any drinks, but their bar bites for appetizer specials were very good. I had a flatbread and chick bites! My eyes were bigger than my stomach so I couldn’t finish everything.

Went there a couple of weeks ago for a late dinner. The place is is need of a major makeover, floors, and furniture all look distressed. The nachos were substandard and the veg burrito was alright, the service however was great. Once we informed our server we were vegetarian, he let us know that the rice in the burrito was cooked with chicken stock so he would have that taken out, and the mozzarella sticks were cooked with an egg batter. It’s very rare to find a server that actually knows the food in such establishments, so props to him. I would have given the restaurant only one or two stars, but the extra star for our server.

It’s normal bar/pub food(burgers and nachos) so its nothing to go out of your way for, but if youre in the area, and want a burger, this is not a bad place to stop at! Now, that sounds like a luke warm sentiment on a 4 star review… but what I really liked was my service. Our waiter, forgot his name, but he was great! Very attentive. Food came out quick. My bf and I split a burger and he even had it sliced and brought out, on separate plates with portioned out fries! How thoughtful! The food: Nachos: Very good. Might have to opt for a half size as the full was massive. But very good. Definitely a good place to grab a plate of nachos and a beer. Buffalo Wings: Half size portion was huge! Bison Burger: Juicy and delicious, it didn’t look medium rare, but I medium rare is just to ensure i get a juicy burger, and this one was quite juicy. Overall, a nice place to stop and grab a beer, with some great bites! Might have to come back for a happy hour and try more.

Very fun bar, complete with an amazing beer selection, different fun themed nights, and a medium size of clientele, which makes you feel that you’re not in an empty bar, but is also not so overpowering that you can’t hear anybody talk. I went on trivia night, which was a lot of fun, there were a ton of teams, and the questions were perfectly aimed at people in their 20s and 30s.

Wood n Tap is always a reliable favorite in the area. I have gone there for work lunches, happy hour, and dinner. It’s always a good experience. I prefer the bar atmosphere over the dining area. I really like their seasonal menus. The lobster roll in the summer, and the pumpkin ravioli in the winter are a few of my favorites. The calamari is always a good start to our meal. The dipping sauce is amazing! Definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a casual dining experience with a good variety of food and drinks.

Great food, outstanding service, and a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere make the dining experience here at this location of Wood ‘N’ Tap. My friends and I met here for dinner and enjoyed every bit of our experience. Our server was friendly and personable, helping us with out meal selections and being extremely attentive throughout our dinner. While the food is always extremely delicious and cooked/prepared well as in all of the Wood ‘N’ Tap restaurants, the servers here in Vernon went out of their ways to make sure patrons enjoyed their stays. This was evident through observation of them serving other tables and their prompting of questions to patrons. We were greeted kindly and promptly, both at the time we stepped into the restaurant and when we were walking out with full bellies and happy smiles. All of the workers we encountered here were extremely pleasant and seemed to really care about their customers. This is a great restaurant, with fantastic food and service. It’s an establishment that provides a memorable and positive dining experience.
