Avoid these products like the plague! Bought one from Costco(Thank God), just over two years ago. Table sized! Stored indoors, only used about 6 times. Now it won’t work. Originally offered a burner«service» for $ 149 or a «new» burner for $ 299. I only paid $ 149 for it. After fight with them they offered to wave all service charges but I would have to pay for all shipping. I can imagine. Their warranty sheet is clear as mud. The item is listed all over the internet as both 11,000 btu and 27,000 btu with warranties from 3 — 5 years. Anyways since I bought it from Costco, it will be going back. P. S. I have another brand full sized floor heater that has been outside uncovered for 10 years due to its size and it still starts right up. AVOIDLAVAHEATITALIA!

We absoloutely love our new outdoor heater! Not only does it look super amazing at night, it also is very warm. It takes about 5 minutes or so to heat up then it does a fantastic job of heating. I am always cold especially at night so this really works great for someone that tends to get chilly outside. We have a small patio so this really works perfect for us. The only downside was that the way it shipped had plastic wrap missing from the very front panel even though the others had all had them covered. Luckily it wasnt damaged while shipping. Heater looks beautiful and we cant wait to use it especially when we have people over. Purchased from BB&B with free shipping and a 20% coupon. Its definitely worth the price as its a much higher quality product than the other heaters at Home Depot. Plus it looks amazing too. Highly recommend!

I purchased a Lava Heat Italia that did not work out of the box. I called customer service at least 10 times trying to get some help but had to leave a message since nobody answers the phone at this company, e-mailed them with no response. I then checked the BBB and they have an F rating so I returned the heater to the store for a refund. My advice is stay away from this company.

After purchasing two of their heaters from a supplier for a combined for a sum of $ 1,300, I was compelled to write my first review. After placing the heaters outside(in Ohio), they began to rust in about a 9 month period. I attempted to phone Lava Heat Italia several times to no avail and my messages were never returned. I was finally able to get a hold of somebody via email. On that email, I cc’d the owner. The response I received is the reason for this review. After asking if I live by the ocean, I was basically told it was not their issue and they were not going to replace the 6 very rusted grids(3 per heater). I have to say this is one of the most amazing customer service responses I’ve ever received. When you purchase a high end piece of equipment, you should expect it to last a moderate period of time. I have owned several significantly cheaper heaters from Loews that have lasted in excess of 5 years or more. Even though the product looks great when it’s new, stay away from this product and company. They are awful. For a product of this price, I’m not sure why you would cut corners on the grids. How much money did they save? Seriously? I will end up fixing the situation on my own and will persuade anybody I know to never purchase something from these folks.

I third the negative reviews. Purchased this item, it arrived today. It’s going back to the wholesaler I bought it from as soon as I can possibly remove it from my terrace. It won’t stay lit, and when it is lit(for about 30 seconds before it shuts itself off), it emits the smell of burning metal/wires. Not exactly what I had in mind to warm up my Autumn evenings with. Thankfully the return policy at the store where I bought it is very forgiving and flexible. In short — I do not recommend Lave Heat. Poor quality, dead on arrival(or a bare minimum, faulty on arrival). Oh, and the one I bought was shipped from the manufacturer directly. Odd that it looked used, as it was scratched, had a footprint on the base, and packaging that was rather ‘used’ looking.

was surprised to see negative reviews of Lava Heat. My experience with them was nothing short of efficient and pleasant. I talked to a few sales people and Jonathan the sales manager. Every interaction I had was professional. Jonathan helped me out with some heaters for a last minute company event. It was a rush job. I was under pressure and frazzled but he put me at rest knowing they would take care of us and they did. Their products made our event far more decorative, chic and cozy. A few of our clients commented on how much they loved the design of the heaters and wanted to know where we got them. All in all a very positive experience. We will be using them again in the future and recommending them to others. Thanks again Lava Heat!

This is the truth. I had to make an effort to contact customer service. I gave up. HOWEVER, the shipping supervisor called me after she saw my emails. They said they wanted to right the wrong and they really did. A very good tech came and fixed both of my heaters. I have three. He changed the batteries in the third. He did an a plus job. They all work now. They also called and let me know when they were coming. I am a busy attorney and I am now VERYSATISFIED. Sometimes companies make mistakes but I commend Lava Heat for fixing the problems and making me a very happy customer. If they now deal with all their customers like they did with me, I strongly recommend them. Their heaters are beautiful and really make a dinner party. I am now a loyal customer and I would strongly recommend them as they know how to admit an error then rectify it. Glad the shipping supervisor took charge!

I purchased a Lava Heat propane heater at Costco nearly one year ago after seeing multiple heaters in use at the local restaurant at our golf club. Living in the Palm Desert area can produce some pretty bad winds. Recently when the winds were strong, the heater blew over and broke the glass tube and bent the aluminum heat reflector. I contacted Lava Heat’s customer service department and spoke with Tatiana. She was extremely helpful and agreed to replace the glass tube, which is not under warranty, and the aluminum reflector for the cost of shipping. Needless to say since I fully expected to have pay the nearly $ 200 replacement cost of the glass tube, I am extremely satisfied with the outstanding customer service provided by Tatiana and Lava Heat. It’s uncommon these days to for a company to go beyond their legal requirement to ensure customer satisfaction. Thank you Tatiana!

I purchased an Amit Misty Cooler and it quickly became a favorite Item in the house. This unit cools my bedroom and it’s sleek design compliments our furniture. I too bought 4 units from them at the Restaurant Show in Chicago. DONOTBUYTHISPRODUCT! DONOTBUY A GASUNIT! DONOTBUYANYTHINGFROMTHEM! Did I make my point? They are going to be at the restaurant show this year again and I am going to get a T-Shirt made that says: Do Not Buy Lava Heat Italia! and wear it every day, circling their display. Those ba%$#@$%s deserve it! Can you tell how angry I am at how I was treated? They are disgusting. I figure their ineptitude cost my business at least 80k due to having to close our outdoor area at least a month earlier because 3 of the 4 units just stopped working and they would not call me back! I called them for 3 months, as soon as I set them up! One of them never worked out of the box! The«Customer Service» is the worst I’ve ever dealt with in my life! They will not call you back! They stall! They suggest the stupidest remedies! They will not send someone out to fix their product as they expect you to be a handyman as well, switching starters and ignitions. I am not exaggerating! It is outright shocking how they run their business. Lava Heat Italia has no concern for your bottom line and all the care about is sales. I even wrote to the president of the company and I’ve never heard from him either. You will loose a lot of money if are depending on this product to perform. The worst experience I’ve ever had.
