Giannini Kristin A MD

Dr. G is the best of the best. I would follow her anywhere and I mean that. She has been my doctor for seven or so years and has always been my advocate while being a most excellent physician. She isn’t «by the book» in the sense that she empowers her patients to decide when or what or how to proceed. Dr. G is no dictator or an alarmist but she’s wary if wary need be.
She offers advice and watches carefully and LISTENS to EVERYthing said in your visit. She spends the time with you, casually talking but it’s never for nothing. She gets a lot of information about who and what you are and how you live, which is why the office is always running late. So if being on time is an issue for you — set aside a nice chunk of it for your appointment and bring a book because Dr Giannini has many many many patients and each of them will get her time. So it WILL run late. And I wouldn’t have it any other way. This is no cookie cutter doctor parceling out 5 minute visits
There’s another doctor at Healthwise Family and because I needed to get in on a day when Dr. G was out, I saw Dr Bickmore. He’s just as professional, thorough and compassionate. But Dr. G is my doctor. So even though it’s easier to see him, I’ll stick with my girl!
BTW, agreed, the office is a little overwhelmed sometimes. But when they get on something, it does get done. The offices has that feeling of the old days, when you visited a doctor and knew everyone in the office and they knew you. So no, they’re not crispy fast but damn they are good AND compassionate. And they’ll take the time to help. In the end, that all means a lot in this business. Giving a damn. I’d give them ten stars if I could.

I’ve seen Dr. Giannini a handful of times and I think each experience has been worse than the last. She seems to rush to diagnosis and not explain anything to the patient. I was in the exam room waiting for about an hour for a 2 minute conversation in which I felt brushed off and small — not what I want from a doctor.
To make it worse she even interrupted me in the short time we talked to open the door and fix the printer because she could «hear they were about to mess it up» extremely rude and a clear sign she wasn’t paying attention to her patient.

I LOVE Dr. Giannini! She is super bubbly, down-​to-​earth and personable. Although very knowledgeable and professional, I often forget I am talking to my doctor and not a good friend. This is important to me as its hard for me to open up to or trust someone with no bedside manner. I have called her with questions and she has always responded that day. I can barely get email responses from my coworkers within 24 hours!
My only gripe is the wait time. An hour in an exam room for a 15 minute appointment?! That is just ridic! It has happened during every one of my visits. Regardless, I like her services, just wish appointments ran on time.
