Beautiful furniture, wonderful in store service! Delivery was EXCELLENT!!!

My first experience with them was 7 years ago with Tracy. She was OUTSTANDING! She was dead on with our style and met all our needs. She has since moved away so when I went back in for our current needs I found Jessica! Also OUTSTANDING!!! Both are very down to earth people! I feel if you find a designer that you are comfortable with you will love this location as much as I do!!! My only complaint would be … I bought a floor model and had it delivered. I live less than a mile away they still charged me the $ 80 delivery fee? Their policy is to take all merchandise to main «hub» for inspection then it goes out?! I bought it as it sat. If that is the worst thing I can live with that :0)

Terrific interior design service from Jessica Rohde Carter. She has now worked with us on our third property in two years and she has done a fantastic job with each. Jessica is easy to work with and tries to be mindful of our design budget. The customer service staff works well with us on deliveries and is constantly providing us with updates. We highly recommend Jessica and Walter E. Smithe.

A beautiful store filled with beautiful things. I was in heaven…even if the friend I was trying to help furnish his condo was not. Men shopping for furniture. .. it might as well be a floral design class for the amount of interest most men have! Perhaps that is why so many single men have great spaces without great furniture to show off in them. .. .
This location is pretty off my beaten path but I went here as one of their sales associates is a dear friend of mine (Dave B.) and I knew he would help steer my other friend in the right direction. Plus, I have had experience with other Walter E Smithe locations for my own home, and they haven’t let me down yet!
When dealing with men and furniture, you know you only have their attention span for a short period of time so I made an appointment with Dave so we could be in and out in a reasonable amount of time (although had it been me alone, I would have spent hours wandering the two beautiful floors of gorgeous furniture! Just the smell of new furniture is intoxicating!)
Dave took it all in stride. He had listened carefully to what we were interested in, had looked at the picture of the rug/​paint color that we had sent over and had several color palettes for us to choose from when we got to the store.
After sitting in a wide range of sofas, recliners and chairs, the selections were made and the nitty gritty details of fabric were discussed (I think I lost my friend during this part, but between Dave and I, the room will be lovely!)
The furniture is well made, the variety of textures and fabrics endless and I like that they do trim on the pillows, etc, all included in the price.
And the service? Well, I may be biased, but it is second to none. Deals were made, pencils were sharpened and new furniture will soon be on it’s way in about 8 weeks. Dave was so accommodating that on our way back to the city, my friend commented that it «wasn’t as bad as he thought it was going to be!» Ha! Kind of like going to the dentist but high praise for someone who has never ventured into a furniture store before to buy furniture for himself.
Walter E Smithe is not cheap. They sell high quality furniture at a mid range price. And they will work with you to find you furniture that fits the budget that you have. But I believe in the adage that you get what you pay for. The finishes, fabrics and construction are things you should look for if you want to be comfortable and for the furniture to last through life’s wear and tear.
Thanks Walter E Smithe. Mission accomplished and I can’t wait to see how the room looks when the new furniture shows up! Oh and Dave? Thanks. Now that’s what friends are for!
