Harbourtown Travel

My friend and I booked a Mexican vacation through Jackie at Harbourtown Travel and let me say I’m glad we did. By using a travel agent, Jackie found the best deals and made sure our room was close to the pool and worked her magic for some extras. Will always do business with Harbourtown!!!

I used this company to book a trip from Boston to Florida and I had nothing but problems.
Our paperwork was not mailed to us until a week and a half before the trip and we never got it because the travel agent forgot to put our apartment number on the package she sent, so it was returned as undeliverable. The agent then refused to overnight us the package (three days before the trip) stating she didn’t have the authority to do it and the owners were out of town. (Would have picked them up except we’re in Massachusetts and they are in Ohio)
She e-​mailed us most of our documents which was fine, except we needed specific luggage tags for the trip we were on. She assured us we didn’t need them and we could just talk to the airline when we arrived in Florida.
Turns out we did need the baggage tags and due to this, we arrived in Florida at 6pm and did not receive our luggage until 2am. When we relayed this to our travel agent, her response was that this was normal, and she sounded annoyed with us that we had even contacted her. She did not apologize once.
Also, we had booked a dinner/​show package in advance to make sure we had reservations and priority seating. We paid for this. Turns out we got the dinner reservation but not the show, so we had to fight with them to let us get in and see the show.
All in all, bad experience. We will never used this agency again. We had a bad experience and the reply from the travel agent was unsatisfactory.
