Tony started this place as a «hobby» many, many years ago, but it turned out he actually made really good pizza! Tony may have moved on to that pizza kitchen in the sky, but his spirit is still there. If you want the best tasting big greasy old fashioned mouth-​watering pizza, I can’t think of a better place. I live in Pasadena, but come up to Ventura at least ten times a year for little weekend retreats. Still haven’t found a go-​to pizza place in Pasadena, but it’s all about Tony’s when I’m visiting my home away from home.
The pizza is really great — hand stretched crust piled high with flavorful sauce, cheese and toppings. I’m getting excited thinking about it!
Put in your order and go have a beer at the brewery down the street. By the time you stumble back, your pizza is ready!

Love Tony’s. We live four hours away out by Death Valley… Coming here is always a pleasure to my taste buds. Best pizza I have ever had on the mainland… A small possible competition with a pizza place on the Big Island of Hawaii! I still prefer here, which is good because this place is a lot closer. I’m happy to see credit cards are now being taken, but I had cash on me anyways.

I live in Indian but, this is my sister’s favorite place.
I am so glad we went, it’s hard to find great pizza were I’m at.

Every time my husband says, «I ordered Tony’s pizza,» my mouth does a happy dance! I try to diet and eat healthy but Tony’s is my one exception. Their pizza is thinner crust (yummy thin crust, though) so I don’t feel as guilty. They have Incredible pizza and really cool people that work there. Their NY style pizza is to die for… its been my favorite since we moved here.

The Pizza maker had no love for his work.
It was obvious he did not want to be there.
Half hearted attempt and the outcome was GARBAGE!
No box for a to go pizza, but a paper bag! A hot greasy mess in my car traveling home.
The crust was crap, grease everywhere on a Pepperoni pizza. Don’t waste your money on this pathetic pizza shop.

Our stop to grab lunch after surfing at C street. It’s a hole in the wall with outdoor seating, and no thrills pizza. Pretty standard pizza with a variety of toppings. If you’re hungry, I’d recommend getting at least a large or XL to share if you’re with a couple people. Their pizza is made to order, so can take a while to come out if you’re ordering a whole pizza. So take a stroll down the street to check out some of the surf shops. Nice to sit outside and enjoy your pizza, sipping a cold soda after surfing a few hours. There’s a small parking lot and street parking available.

! Some of the very best pizza I’ve ever had.
We ordered several different kinds and they were all excellent. Their cheese pizza sets the standard for pizza everywhere. I’m already looking forward to having it again.
We had a New Yorker in our party and this may shock you, but she was quite vocal about NYC’s pizza being the «best in the world» and commented that «she knows pizza». I know, it’s rare that a New York native has an opinion on pizza, so we were lucky to be there to experience it. After she tried it, even she was impressed with Tony’s. I’ll let that speak for itself.
We were fortunate to come during a non-​busy time, so it was a pretty quick turnaround. I can see it backing up given the size of the place and only one guy making the food. I would still wait for it and be happy I was having it. Tony’s is a new local favorite!

Another amazing example of why old school is so cool in Ventura. After a grueling fun day at the county fair, we dragged ourselves on a mile walk to find our car… came across a window pizza order place surrounded by picnic tables. Hah? Must be a mirage. Best find in Ventura. Pizza is class thin crust with a creamy cheesy but not too greasy slice. If you want more than cheese, I’d recommend getting a whole pizza. Otherwise, they just toss the toppings on an already made cheese pizza and heat it up… doesn’t have that integrated topping taste. Great window dive joint that’s a must try in this old school town.

This place is everything you want a «hole in the wall» it to be! It’s small, super friendly, simple, and fast.
The pizza style surprised me, but I loved it. It’s a quickly baked thin crust and the veggies seemed to have been added after cooking, which actually made their flavors more potent. Definitely eat here!

Tasted very good – would come again.
Seating is only outside on Picnic tables.
They are a couple of blocks off the coast, and right next to the 101, and a couple of blocks from the main street business district. Free parking.
Can’t go wrong with a pizza here.

Wow I think I just found the Best pizza in the world! I’m surprised there’s not a line down the block for this stuff. Great price 20 for an extra large, super nice guys there. I even got a free cupcake today for Tony’s birthday RIP. Ive always wanted to stop by and boy I’m glad I found this gem.
