Just beautiful and rich with history. A must see when visiting. From the marble lobby to the courtroom with the stained class domes and detailed woodwork.

Ventura City Hall is an amazing place to hold your next event. There are very few BYO event venues that are affordable and in a prime location. Ventura City Hall really fits the bill. The events coordinator Michelle is very unenthusiastic about selling the place, but if you can get past her crotchety demeanor, lack of response to emails, and consistent misinformation, you will find that the support staff is very accommodating and great to work with. Classy and picturesque, this is a great venue to hold your next charity event or wedding reception.

Here once a year to renew my business license but always get happy when that notice comes in the mail. Perhaps I’m a weirdo but I really love the architecture on the outside. Walking inside, I feel like I’m in another era. An era where people took pride in craftsmanship and not the cookie cutter crap around today. I’d give the rating five stars, if the one lady in charge of issuing the licenses took a little less pleasure in taking my money :)

Ahhhhh!!! The beauty of Ventura is breathtaking when the history and its historical landmarks are combined with the cuteness of being a «laid-back» beach town. The San Buenaventura City Hall building is definitely a piece of Ventura’s overall appeal. Albert C. Martin was the mastermind architect contributing to the 1912 classic beaux-arts flair, expressing neoclassical columns with sculptured faces of Franciscan padres of yesteryear throughout. The San Buenaventura City Hall sits atop of California Street with its grandeur stature. It overlooks the beautiful Pacific Ocean and one of the main strips of Downtown Ventura. This is definitely a must-see for all! The eclectic visual alone was the magnetizing force pulling me to its splendor. Take a step inside and breathe in the nostalgia. You will not be disappointed! ;0) Reviewed by Yvette L. Brownstone of Ventura, CA
