Celeste has been doing my hair for a couple of years. My cuts and color have been fabulous — I’ve never had more compliments. When I wanted a shorter haircut, my husband was afraid I would lose my lion’s mane, but she managed to give me a shorter cut while keeping my curly hair looking longish. I recommend you go see Celeste for cuts, color, and an all-​round great experience. P. S. My husband has his hair cut there too and he looks better than ever!

After years of great haircuts by Celeste, I asked her for help in going gray gracefully. Internet research painted a grim picture of ugly transitions and periods of looking like Cruella de Ville or Pepe le Pew. But Celeste suggested a weave of white among the existing brown. I let her do her thing and wow — it looked great. I’ve never had so many compliments. It’s hard to find someone you can trust with your hair but Celeste is the greatest. I feel very lucky.

I can’t believe my good fortune of having found Celeste four months ago! I came to her grey and feeling old and walked away a new woman! Celeste is an expert colorist (she brought me back to my original color) and she is not only a hair «stylist», but a hair «artist» as well who truly listens to what you want and takes her time to make it happen. Her passion for what she does clearly comes shining through and I wouldn’t consider going anywhere else!

Before I went to Celeste my hair was overprocessed and frazzled looking. Now my hair is healthy, has great color and body, and a style that suits my needs while maintaining an updated look. She will work with you to figure out a style and hair care that works for you. I can’t imagine having to go anywhere else to get my hair done!

I had the best experience at Pacific and Main! After spending almost a year trying to find a good hairdresser in Ventura, I am so happy to have found this place.
Celeste, the owner went out of her way to accommodate me and got me in the day I called. Leslie did my hair, root touch up and highlights and I am super happy with the result! The color looks great and the highlights are just the way I like them. She actually weaved them in with the old highlights so it looks very naturally and I am getting a lot of compliments on it. Leslie is very experienced and friendly and you can trust her to do exactly what you want to have done.
Overall the salon is very inviting and has a real neighborhood feel to it. The prices are super affordable and I will definitely be back for my cut and color.

I went today to Celeste t for color and highlights, and I must say my hair never looked so good before. This lady is by far the best colorist I know. She is a true professional and has a wonderful personality. Celeste made my highlights exactly the way I wanted, the color came out amazing, and my hair is soft, and shiny, and I just would never go anywhere else, but to her. I have been to a couple of other high end salons, spending twice the money I paid today with results not even near of what I expected. I m really, really impressed with her skills, and would recommend her to ALL of my friends! She is amazing.

It’s so nice to have a «style»! I’ve been going to Celeste Helmick for years, but we had to take a little time off since I didn’t have any hair last year. Now my hair is growing back, and it’s gray and weirdly curly. Celeste took the time to to get just the right color and now my hair looks like I meant it to look this way. I love it and I would recommend Celeste to anyone looking for a good stylist!

Well I might be bias with my five-​star review, because I’ve been «with» Celeste (Helmick) as my hair stylist longer that I’ve been in either of my marriages!
I’ve been going to Celeste to have my hair colored and styled since August of 1990 when I first lived in Ventura. Except for a few moves, (to Northern CA, Eastern PA, and Northern ID – when I did my own hair*yikes*), or when I lived over 160 miles away, I’ve never changed stylists in over 21 years.
Celeste is a master stylist and colorist; she’s very talented and will not «ruin» your hair!
Back in 1990, I had long brown hair and that needed a lot of care and I’d had my own share of horror stories with hairdressers. I was nervous about getting any hair color done for the first time, and I still can’t believe my luck in getting Celeste as my stylist all those years ago.
Long hair is also her specialty. And the best thing about Celeste is, if you ask for a style or drastic change she thinks you will regret, she will tell you BEFORE she tries it!
Now, if you read ANY of my other negative reviews, you can get a sense of how «high-​maintenance» I can be, and how hard I am to please! ;)
That said, my husband and I still drive over 100 miles every five or six weeks to Ventura, CA to have our hair done at Pacific & Main, and always will!
