Roxy is absolutely amazing! She is the queen of color!!!

Followed my girl Abbie here for her uh-​mazing! pedicures! Win win for me! Close enough to walk home from and admire my beautiful toes (use or lose em, right?) and still get a great priced pedi! Seriously I have paid TWICE as much at other places for a bowl of luke warm water and half-​hearted attempt.
Abbie is always gentle when needed, and rough in all the right spots! She’s aware of my needs and really nails my moods. Her works lasts and lasts, which is good because I’m so horrible about treating myself as often as I should! –in fact I’m writing this right now as I dream about getting a pedi from her. It’s not as much fun… or relaxing…
So I’m gonna go hit her up now. (you should too, she’s my all-​time favorite!)

Love Kin Shoppe and Allison Easely! This girl gets my blonde right every time/​low lights, high lights, conditioning treatments, she just knows exactly how to make me look good.
she is also a total pleasure to be with for a couple of hours and her prices are so reasonable, its a win win!

Great place very cute, comfy, nice people… I’ve been with Abby for a few years now she does an awesome job on my nails! Very friendly and great massage on your hands n feet! Go there today it’s worth it!

I love this place to get my hair colored and cut! Was so excited to see on their spa menu that they do full body spray tans. When I called to make an appointment, they informed me that no one there does them… what a disappointment. Hope they take it off their website or offer it soon!

I went to KINshoppe before our recent wedding engagement photo shoot to get my hair and makeup done. My stylist and I discussed a very sweet and natural look that would simply enhance my features. I am too humiliated to even post a picture of the results. Let’s just say that when I got picked up from the salon, the feedback was «You look like you’re going to hillbilly prom.» I rushed back to our hotel to shower off all of the makeup and hairspray and to try to salvage the day. Unfortunately, my hair looked insane in our pictures from the layers of product that it took me two days to wash out. Such a disappointment. The worst part is that the stylist charged me $ 50 more than what was quoted to me over the phone for her services. Beware!

This is such a comfortable place! It feels like the kind of place you would want to just come and hang out for a while! There are lots of stylists so it is fairly easy to get an appointment. They greeted me right when I came in, I didn’t have to wait for my stylist, and she listened to me before she even washed my hair. Overall a good experience!

I went here a couple months ago but I forgot to write a review. Im very picky with my hair, because it seems like every place I go, they could never get it quite right. I don’t blame the other places, because I’m just really bad at explaining. But when Jordan fixed my hair, she made it PERFECT. It was EXACTLY the way i wanted it, actually, it was probably better. Jordan is super patient, kind, and super super good. My hair hasn’t looked this good in a very long time. She fixed my super crappy layers, and she dyed it at the ends. Seriously, this is the only place I’m going to go now when it comes to my hair.

I have been seeing Roxy exclusively now for over a year !! Yes and she still is my hairdresser «Extraordinaire», fellow piscean and wonderful person! My hair only gets better each time I see her and it is worth the 3 ½ hour drive to Ventura! She is kind and caring and as I said in my previous review, she really cares. My highlights and cut always look amazing! The salon is clean and beautiful with many awesome products to choose from. I am always treated well here and the staff are very nice and welcoming. It is relaxing and I really like how professional they are but in a fun way! So you feel good when you are there and when you leave! I highly recommend this salon to anyone looking for a great place to go for your hair and nails. Oh and did I mention they have Moroccan Oil? Yes! Roxy you are the best. Thank you.

I had my hair done by Jordan. She was VERY patient with my constant questions and took the time to explain small details to me. I’ll be going back to her in a couple weeks for an updo and I cant wait!

Such great hospitality! The stylists ask you about you’re hair and it feels good when they wash your hair in hot water! I recommend this place to everyone who wants to get their hair done! Excellent service! I definitely want to come again soon! :)

Cherie is AMAZING! My husband and I just moved here and were dreading finding a new stylist that we loved as much as our’s in phoenix. Not only was she super sweet but she gave both of us exactly what we asked for! The cut, color, and style were all perfection. She even curled it how I like it so I walked out feeling gorgeous! Would definitely recommend!

It was nice that when I called on a Thursday, I was able to get a Saturday appointment just like that… That can either be a good or bad thing, in this case it was good for me.
I was scheduled with Jordan P. when I arrived she was ready for me…
She has been a hairstylist for 4 years and really seems to know her stuff. I told her that I haven’t had a cut/​trim in over a year and used box color to dye and keep my hair dark. My main issue was that my hair had a brownish/​red brass to it which showed alot in the sun. I was looking for a really dark black, so black that in the sun it was dark not a brown/​red tint. She proceeded to dye my hair and then gave me a trim. I am one of those people that freaks out when too much is cut, but Jordan was great in listening to my needs and not cutting alot off. My hair was pretty dark, but once I stepped outside I saw the reddish/​brown shinning in the light! I texted Jordan my concerns and she then scheduled me to come back in a few days so she can darken it. Although I wish I didn’t have to come in twice, Jordan DIDNT charge me to re-​darken it, since she said it was her fault. At that appointment we got to talking about Balayage, a type of highlighting and coloring method. She seems to know alot about it, so I am considering starting the process at my next appointment with her in December. Stay tuned…

Had my curly hair cut by Elena. Of course I was nervous! Angst building up in the weeks before the appointment. I had worked myself up in to a tizzy. Phew! (Sound of absolute relief!) Elena was great. She looked at my hair. Reviewed the pictures I took of my hair I had taken. I wanted her to see what I saw. My curly hair has varying stages of curly. From loose curls to tight curls to all out frizz. Plus it tends to lay flat at my crown. Elena took it all in. We discussed her recommendations. And then she started. She washed my hair, a little scalp massage. Then back to her chair. She explained what she was doing and why. She then used some great products, Enjoy. And she diffuse dried my hair. Showed me how to dry my hair upside down at the end to get more lift at the crown. The result was soft well formed curls. She cut a lot but my hair looked just as long. Fuller, softer and healthy. Yay me! I booked my next appointment before leaving. This was 2 weeks ago. I’m loving my hair. Love the Enjoy products too.

Cute salon! Roxy is my stylist and I will follow her anywhere. She always delivers consistent service and I love everything she does. She truly has a passion for her craft and is always taking advance classes so you know she’s up to date on the latest and greatest. She’s so sweet and down to earth, my appointments always fly by when I’m in her chair. My color and haircuts last a long time so I never feel like I’m over spending because it’s such quality work. I have thick hair and I like it on the longer side. I get compliments all the time, even when I think it’s time to get my hair done I still get compliments. I’m so glad I turned to Unilocal years ago and found Roxy! I can’t imagine going anywhere else. The salon is friendly, welcoming, and the décor is so nice. It’s also clean and spacious.

BRANDI, BRANDI, BRANDI! She is making people beautiful everyday! She is energetic, so fun to talk to & extremely talented. She will listen to what you want and do exactly what you like vs. other salons who do what THEY think is best for you. I left there wanting to be best friends with her! She always fits me into her schedule when I call or text her… That’s a huge plus!
Also, the atmosphere at this salon is top of the line, but won’t leave you broke! Brandi does beautiful extensions and I always see her for a simple cut or full on color and brazilian blow out. I would highly recommend her to all my friends & family. She is simply the best!

ROXY! How do I even begin to describe her awesomeness?
Roxy is the only person that has ever given me a haircut that I’ve been 100% happy with. I have thick frizzy hair and anyone I went to before Roxy hasn’t been able to tackle my hair correctly.
I’ve gotten my hair cut in LA after Roxy and I’m back to being unhappy with my cut. So I’ll be making the drive from LA to Ventura to see Roxy.
Oh, and don’t let me forget to tell you how great the salon is too. Great location and adorable on the inside. LOVE IT.

Thanks to awesome SoCal Unilocalers, I found this gem on Thompson Blvd, conveniently located to where I am staying. I was desperate for my brows to be, um … «fixed» after a few months of being too pre-​occupied to make the time for what is ordinarily a regular appointment. I saw «brow tint» in the Unilocal reviews and positive vibes described all around, so I stopped in and made an appointment for the next day. When I arrived for my appointment, Paris was very warm and friendly, and we headed back to her tastefully appointed room in the back — with a bonus view of the back patio while I was lying on the table.
We spent a few moments discussing exactly what I wanted (since absolutely no trace of the last work remained to be seen, after such a long time!). She worked efficiently and professionally, and I was completely thrilled with the results. Completely. Thrilled. When I looked in the mirror, I said to her, «Oh yeah, I know *that* girl. That’s me! Haven’t seen her for a while…» Which, if you have had your brows done more than a few times, you will know is not always the result at a new salon. The price was definitely reasonable for the outstanding job she did. I’ve paid more, and gotten less for it.
I also had her tint my eyelashes, and it’s the best job I’ve ever had on lashes — all coloured perfectly and looking great. My brows and lashes are so blonde they are transparent, so they are the perfect canvas for someone who knows what they are doing — and also a convincing display for someone who is not so skilled!
Totally going back. And still smiling at my reflection in the mirror.
