I have never had such bad service as what I just had. The manager was very rude. Spent $ 34.00 and I walked over to the trash and put my food in it. Was not going to eat it after all that!

The only reason why I come is because I love the ice cream. The people who work here are almost always assholes. I don’t understand why it is so hard to be nice? I feel like you need to have a sign on the window«beware, may encounter bitchiness if you approach window». lol.

We showed up not too long before their closing time, but we still had a great experience. Very friendly staff got our order correct in a timely manner. Dessert treats were exactly what we were craving/hoping for. Yum!

This may be tough for some to believe, but sometimes I actually prefer a chocolate shake instead of a shaken martini. Today was that day. The shake was big & delicious, but the burger wasn’t worth the calories expended chewing it.

So I’ve read a lot of reviews that go on and on about the rude employees. Now my after my experience today I would call them rude, but they aren’t the more attentive customer service happy girls either. I went here in-between one of my classes here at VC and got in and out in a timely manner, my order was correct, their areas were clean, they did everything they were supposed to do. So I have no choice but to give them the rating they deserve today. I tried their new seasonal pumpkin pie twister, it is seriously AMAZING.

I’m new to Ventura and have been here a few times now. I love it! The nostalgic style, vintage architecture(think the place opened in the 1950s) is SO Ventura. I have not encountered any of the bad service I’ve read about. The service I’ve had is exceptionally friendly, fast, and efficient. The food is sooo good. The chocolate shakes — perfection! I had one of their double cheeseburgers — sort of like In N Out — but better! Their fries are fantastic. Once I tried the fish and chips. The fish was really not bad for fast food. I couldn’t complain. But, last night, I tried their BLT. TODIEFOR. Heaven — crispy bacon — lots of it, crispy, fresh lettuce, fresh tomatoes — toasted bread — just so good — the best BLT I have ever eaten! Hands down. I also tried the mozzarella sticks — about six I think — served with ranch. Delicious! I don’t find the prices bad at all — comparable to other fast food. I had no issues. This place delivers as a hang out spot and when we drove by on a warm Friday night, there were long lines. But that food is worth the wait! I wish it was open later. Would be fun to sit outside Foster’s with a burger or a shake at 10 or 11 p.m. That’s my only complaint. This is one of Ventura’s gems. Don’t miss it!

Yes it’s Foster’s Freeze. So the food and desserts are exactly what you would expect. But the service is shit. Never ever going back to this location per the woman in charges instructions after I bitched that they wouldn’t split a shake into 2 cups for 3 year old twins. According to her she would«Lose her job» if they did so. In fact this is how it went. Me: Can I get a regular hot fudge malt and a small hot fudge malt split into 2 cups. Guy: No I can’t do that because we can’t split drinks. But I can give you a second cup if that’s OK. Me: Sure no problem. Paid and waited for malts. 2 malts were pushed to the window by the famous dark haired witch who works here. Seems she has a reputation for her rude service. But anyways no second cup. She pushes them to the window and calls my number then walks away. I get the attention of the guy who helped me and he goes to get a second normal small shake cup and the ensuing conversation happens between me and her after she barks at the guy to give me a water cup as a second cup. Me: You know you guys make it difficult to split a shake and really a Styrofoam water cup? Her: Well it’s a health code violation for us to split anything so we can’t do it. Me: Um, it’s a health code violation to give me a second normal cup? Her: Yes and my manager will fire me if I do so. I was fed up now so it went to this. Me: Well your manager is a fucking idiot. Her: Did you just call my manager a fucking idiot? Me: Yes because you don’t have to lie. Nothing on the health code prohibits you from either spring a drink or giving a full size cup so your manager is just being cheap and having you lie to people. Her: Well don’t come back then. Don’t worry bitch I won’t.

Been searching for a good quality malt since my arrival to California and I finally found it. The chocolate malt was superb, can’t wait to try their other flavored.

Our food was fine. …what you’d expect from burger n shakes place, but the SERVICE was rude. I spent over $ 30.00 on two separate orders and each time I was asked to show my receipt… as we ate I watched countless people go and get their food without bring asked for their receipt. I even saw a man go up the window to ask for napkins and they shoved two big bags at him. NORECEIPTWASASKEDFOR… I must look like a criminal threat with my four children and star wars shirt! Tsk tsk to Foster’s freeze!!!

For the frozen food you’re actually receiving, WAAAY overpriced. Not to mention TERRIBLESERVICE. Not just one time, but every time I go. I live just down the street for pete’s sake. I don’t know what it is, but whoever hires these girls(and the occasional guy) reallys like ‘em mean… no matter who they get rid of, it’s like the service continuously gets worse. Also, don’t go here if you’re in a rush. 45 minute wait for 3 meals– yeah right! Rather go to Mickey D’s for some cold fries.

I always go for the turkey or chicken burgers. Grilled onions are always a plus. And the twisters! Definitely worth the couple extra bucks as opposed to McDonald’s and stuff. Local business is the way to go. –Rayce #TheLifestyleNotTheLabel

Came here with my boyfriend to get some ice cream. I’ve been going here for years and always really good. We walked up to the window and experienced the worst customer service, Sarah the cashier has a TERRIBLE attitude, really rude. I didn’t even order because of it.

Large chocolate ice cream cone — moderately priced at $ 2.59, was decent ice cream(nothing to write home about). But then I got down to the cone which was completely and sadly stale — so stale that I had to throw in the towel on it altogether. If they’re gonna pride themselves on being frozen confection connoisseurs then they’d better get their act together and have fresh ice cream cones!

Have gotten ice cream here many times. But wife was craving a fried fish sandwich. Nothing fancy with fries. It was tasty.

I was a regular when I used to go to BHS, great togo place for lunch breaks. Great for quick and easy meals, I would always go for the criss cut fries and caramel parfaits! I’m sure it’s just as popular with VCC down the street too. The service is average and there’s a lot of foot traffic during lunch time. Will update my review soon.

Corn Burritos, french fries, soft serve ice cream, what’s not to love? Growing up in the Ojai Valley we always went to Jolly Kone, it was a summer time staple that has continued on throughout the years. It’s nice to know that Foster Freeze is continuing the tradtion of old school eats and with a drive-in feel that makes you long for the old days. Grab the family or grab your friends, have dinner and then go bowling afterwards!

Cant get enough of their BLT. I’ve ordered my fair share of the beloved sandwhich, and this place is a great stop when you’ve been on the go and are having the feelings of craving something delicious. My boyfriend also loves the corn burritos. He salivates at the mere mention of them… Keep it up!

So, I’m toolin’ around with my good friend. He’s from down here and wants to go to Foster Freeze. I’m thinking to myself… not another burger! Way too many lately. We pull in and the place is a total throwback to the 1970’s, even the neighborhood looks like it hasn’t changed. He’s all amped about corn burritos, something I never had… I guess it’s a VC kind of thing. I place an order for three and he says… no, no you gotta get at least six. In I went for the six and glad I did. Now, it’s nothing much more than a cut in half, fried bean taquito smothered in red sauce but there was something about it that was really good. Cool spot.
