Daniel Callaghan, DDS

It’s nice to go to a dentist these days with a neighborhood feel. This office literally operates out of a converted house and that warm culture shows through. My entire family is on a first name basis with the staff who are all friendly and welcoming. We love Chris especially. Dr. Callaghan is quick to ask a lot of question about how I’m doing way before he goes to work and is as gentle as they come. He’s great with my kids too who aren’t very excited to be there. Keep up the good work guys!

Choose callahan to be my dentist provider through my hmo plan, this guy and his front desk beast of an office manager area complete joke. Lied to my face from day one, they took advantage of my lack of experience in the field. Felt like the horrible mechanic shop that keeps telling you everything’s wrong and jacks yup price with no clear understanding of why and how. Dishonest care providers life this practice really sadden me, this is a person and their health, it’s embarrassing when you aren’t in top notch condition and feel vulnerable, but that doesn’t mean you give them the runaround and treat then like they are ignorant and uneducated. Thankfully I ask many questions and really try to understand what’s going on and realized how crooked they were. I confronted the doctor, and he shushed me outside as to not let other customers hear. Regardless what a shame, I feel sorry for people that live their lives just fully taking advantage of others. But what it’s all about. You can be a good person and do good business and have a good life.

Great Dentist, that really cares about his patients and giving them the best quality dentistry possible. He painlessly repaired my fillings and issues from work done by another dentist. He also recognized my crowding issue and recommended Invisalign, of which I am super excited to see the results (only 2 months completed out of 18). Dr. Callaghan is a true professional and excellent at his craft.
The staff at Cedars are always super courteous and friendly. If you have not been to Cedars Dentistry, you really should.

My husband, daughter, mother and I all see Dr. Callaghan for our dentistry needs and we have been going to this office for about 6 years. The office staff are fantastic — friendly, NO (and I mean NO) wait time — okay, 2 minutes max. Daniel Callaghan is professional, fair, honest and a very caring person.
I would (and have) recommended my friends and family to go and see Dr. Callaghan.

First of all, I suffer from anxiety plus I have major fear of dentists. I grew up during communism in Eastern Europe and one of the «benefits «was the free dental care, which meant no anesthesia whatsoever, the sound of drill still gives me nightmares. So I am not the best patient to have. Period. I recognize that.
Six months ago I went into Cedars dentistry with an emergency, in need of a root canal. Scared shitless. And in a lot of pain. I saw doctor Sam Niruyi and he was great with me, referred me to a specialist, and I came back to get my crown done in his office. Yes I was nervous, but he was very considerate, paid attention to me and made sure I was pain free and comfortable. So did the rest of the staff. They were great.
Today I went to see Dr. Callaghan for 3 fillings. Pretty friendly and nice. Till it was time for novocaine shots to go in. I have never felt so much pain with those before. Usually you feel the initial sting of the needle going in, and a couple of seconds of burning sensation. Not this time, the three shots hurt like hell. When I was left to numb up, I actually cried. And it got worse from this point on. The first tooth he started drilling into, caused me pain. He stopped, gave me another shot, and started on my canine. Which also I felt the drill at. More shots, another 10 mins of waiting to numb up. One filling went uneventful after that, but when the drill went into my canine again, I was in pain. Once I got a chance to communicate that, I got told that he was trying to help me by fixing my tooth and I just need to deal with it. So I did.
While that was going on, I heard that I needed Valium because I was too nervous and he would not do my third filling. He wasn’t asking me about it, he was talking about me in third person to his assistant (who btw is very nice)
This whole experience brought out my fears of dentists. I do not think that I need to «deal» with any kind of pain, if I am paying someone for treating me. I was told that Dr. Callaghan prefers his patients to be on Valium, which I was also given a prescription for. I don’t plan to use it. Neither do I plan to come back to that office. I will give credit where credit is due though. I cannot tell that I even have fillings in my teeth, the quality of Dr Callaghan’s work is great. Just not the bedside manner.

Finally I have found a dentist that I can trust! I have had such bad experiences with other dentists, what a relief to have found a dentist that I feel is honest and fairly conservative in his care. I have an old filling that covers most of a molar, and Dr. Callaghan said that we can wait on getting a crown and we’ll keep an eye on the tooth, since I really didn’t have the money to get a crown. I had been told elsewhere that I needed a crown immediately. Well it’s been a couple of years, and my tooth has been fine with no crown! I have recommended this dentist to my friends, and 2 of my co-​workers use Dr. Dan too!

The best dentist this side of the country! Dr. Callaghan is gentle and I feel very comfortable with him. He is conservative and wants what’s best for the patient. He replaced all my silver fillings with white composite so you can’t even tell I have fillings. The prices are reasonable and I look forward to my next six month visit!

I’ve been going to Dr. Callaghan for the past few years and I have had the BEST experiences there. When I was young, I had a horrible experience at a dentist appointment that actually made me terrified to go back. I would dread going to the dentist and my parents would have to drag me into an appointment. That was when I found Dr. Callaghan. He completely changed my mind about my teeth cleaning appointments and I actually enjoy going now! His whole staff is warm and welcoming and they are so gentle. I have never felt like they were trying to get more money out of me for something I didn’t need. I won’t go anywhere else. By far the BEST dentist in my opinion!

Drs. Callaghan and Niruyi are both caring, compassionate and highly competent dentists. They will listen patiently to your concerns and then develop a treatment plan that fits each individuals needs. They are friendly and funny and will make your dental experience well worth the trip. I know a lot of dentists and I can assure you that you are in goods with both doctors. Highly recommended!
