TERRIBLE TRIPLE
This complaint is about AAA company and the worst customer service experience that we had with this company. They false advertise. They dupe people. They don’t disclose the facts when they sell their membership and insurance. The insurance agent sold the membership without letting me know about the upgrade. When I needed to tow my car they were asking for $ 440 with giving me only 7 miles for free towing with AAA. The customer service agents were not very willing to help us. When I was ready to pay the extra charges for the upgrade they told me there is a seven days waiting period to upgrade even they were receiving the money. They would not provide the service and they were saying it was their policy. These rules had never been mentioned or disclosed when selling this membership to me. The customer service representatives they were delinquent and the first one I spoke to put me on a half an hour hold while i was in an emergency situation to tow my car, and when she came back she still wanted to put me on hold while I was asking her I am in an emergency do not put me on hold. What I learned from this experience that AAA is a terrible AAA and it’s outdated company. The customer device reps do not give a damn about people’s misery and are not helpful, and this company is going down with false advertisements, dishonest, bad faith business. To give you the gist of it we cancelled our membership and used our own car insurance with a fraction of the cost in order to tow our car. We still have not recovered from this horrible treatment of AAA representatives, and the audacity of this company to falsify information and fool people with their deficient insurance agents and customer service agents luring customers to buy their faulty membership! We hope by writing our complaint it will bring awareness to the public and other customers in an effort to expose their bad faith business.

We recently booked a rental car from the AAA website. After having some car trouble we contacted this branch and they were so prompt to help us resolve the issue with the car company.
They provided us with stellar customer service, and we are so impressed with the way that we were treated!
We will be transferring more of our insurance needs to this branch.

In the last couple of weeks, a friend and also myself needed AAA as we each left our car lights on and the battery was dead. It took them 40 minutes to arrive and they now use a device to check your battery to see if it is dead. Both times the AAA guy said we needed new batteries and could install one of theirs on the spot. I said thanks but I am okay and the guy said «okay I will just be out again to charge your battery again tomorrow»! I also asked how his day was and he said it will be good once he is finished work. I was making homemade cookies with a friends so I gave him a few and he never said thank you. I said maybe these will make your day better. I am not sure if it was a local company or a AAA vehicle but will check next time. Really too bad as they used to be awesome. I will report on BBB site which I suggest everyone does.

If you are trying to make travel plans don’t waste your time coming here… they rushed out to help new members set up their memberships and customers there for DMV services, while I was placed on the back burner. They requested an agent 3 different times over the intercom to assist with travel, no one ever came. When they would call out for a membership to be set up agents were racing up the front to assist. If it’s not for roadside assistance or DMV I’ll make sure to take my business elsewhere.

I have been a member since the 1970s. I am done with AAA as I cannot get a human response for problems encountered. Two years ago they sent «Nachos Towing» to help me with getting into my car after I locked myself out. Nachos Towing in Ventura County did $ 400 worth of damages to the door and door frame of my car. They let a novice use a metal bar on my car door. It took me 5 months and about 20 telephone calls to get any insurance money to pay for the damages. Next time I called AAA guess who they were going to send to me? Nachos Towing. They still use Nachos Towing 2 years later.

Please be aware that if u live on a budget, this may not be the Insurance for you. Have been with them about 5 years and continue with the same problems. I set up a due date to have the money taken out close to our pay periods. But they take it out at random times, sometimes twice a month!!! When I have presented the problem to them, they have no answers, or they don’t know why it happen, nor do they care from my visit with them today. The agent politely says to let him know when I have another Insurance, and he will be more than happy to cancel our policy, and I should just «move on» What saddens me is that I have nothing but great things to say of the other plans they offer, such as their travel service and all they have to offer with there membership…

We have been premier members for years and it has really paid off for us. I have used their battery replacement service three times (3 different vehicles), and we have used their towing service as well. Each time, I would get texts on their ETA, and my problem was handled professionally.
Their Victoria office handles everything, from car registration to notaries. Checking in with the front desk is very organized so everyone is taken in order with plenty of seats in the waiting area.
I use their travel books and maps, and with Premier, many of their world travel guidebooks are free. Even with all the electronics, guidebooks are still easier to flip through, and you don’t have to worry about a low battery or international data plans. Our AAA membership is a necessity.

Checking in with the front desk is usually very fast (3 – 7 mins), the front desk service reps are friendly and quick to seat you. the wait itself depends on what you are going in for. I usually go to renew my registration and I normally don’t have any trouble. My wait is usually 10 mins, maybe 15 mins on the longer end. You just have to bring your driver’s license and AAA card in and they can look up all your information. My renewal fees have always been $ 140. The process should take 5 mins or less.
They can also grant you a driving pass if you need a smog check before receiving your registration. Its a good idea just in case you get pulled over by the cops that seem to swarm the area at night.
The last time I went to renew my registration. The AAA rep I was assigned to told me she couldn’t look up my information with just my AAA card and that I needed to have my old registration with me… Well then, how did I do it for the last few years with my AAA card… She tried to send me out but I was able to wave down a more experienced rep and have her renew my registration. I was not coming back a second time for the same issue.
With the exception of the last visit, they usually have good service. AAA should just make sure their employees are trained in all common situations before placing them on the floor for customer service.

I have been a member of AAA for twelve years. This year will be the last.
Triple AAA came out to start a friend’s car on Sunday evening, and after jump-​starting the car, told my friend her AAA battery was still good. She would just need to drive it for an hour, and the battery would recharge.
A couple of hour long drives later along with jump-​starts (not by AAA), my friend decided the battery was a dud. Excited at the prospect her AAA battery was covered by a warranty, she decided to call AAA to change her battery. After informing her they would not change the one year old battery because she was not the original purchaser, AAA jump-​started the car and commiserated with her that she had a dud AAA battery.
She drove to her mechanic who told her that AAA just started the whole battery scam as an additional way to make money. The batteries suck — no wonder AAA does not stand behind the product, and chooses instead to hide behind the small print.
They did not even offer to credit me for the second outcall in two days to jump-​start their lousy battery.
Stay away from AAA, or at the very least, don’t buy their lousy batteries.

Nice, large office located on Victoria. It’s a fairly large office that handles everything AAA does. We went to get a notary with my AAA membership and it was cheap and easy for each signature. They handle insurance, travel, and their other services here. Very convenient. Been a member since 1992 and you can’t beat their roadside service, AAA discounts on hotels, and other perks for the price of membership.

I’ve had all sorts of insurance companies throughout the years but I would have to say AAA is the best. I’ve been a member for many years now and have not looked back.
I always renew my vehicle registration here too. Going into the DMV is no longer an option as I’m sure most of you know why (takes forever) and registering by mail has some serious lag time. I just walking into the office and in 5 minutes (tops) I’m out. Awesome!
The roadside service is the best. Not only does it follow you (the roadside service) in your vehicle but if you are a passenger in someone else’s vehicle you can use your roadside in their emergency’s too. (When this happens you’ve made a friend for life, trust me!) Well worth the yearly fee.
They give EXCELLENT service and offer free maps when you travel. Oh, I also didn’t mention the discounts you receive at restaurants and hotels. (these savings alone have already paid for my yearly fee).

I have been a member for 20 years and will always be a member. It is much easier to re-​new my vehicle registration here then going to DMV. The staff is very helpful and always a pleasure to do business with. Thank you for your Excellent service!
The towing companies that they contract with are very knowledgeable and have helped me when I have broken down away from home. I feel much more comfortable driving my older cars knowing if I need help AAA is there for me.

I booked a European trip with this place. I have never had a worse experience:
— The verbal price quote was $ 1200 less than the price I was billed
— The maximum prices are used and are nearly 50% more than the internet
— Wrong e-​mail to me was used
— Varying statements every month about airline, fees etc
— Details never given: e.g. when tickets would be issued and how
I am now much poorer and very dissatisfied
Perhaps a legal action may take place

The annual fee for AAA membership (without insurance) is $ 68 for an individual and $ 93 for a couple.
I was just quoted $ 50 for a tow by Tom’s Towing. I only need a tow for .68 mile.

I received my first AAA card when I was 18 and have had it ever since. It’s great piece of mind. If you lock your keys in the car or your battery isn’t working or some other car problem they will try and fix it. If they can’t then they can tow you to your mechanic (depending on the type of coverage you have). When my daughter started driving I added her to my membership. I didn’t have to worry that she might get stranded somewhere without having help.
It’s great for fun things too. I used the travel agent to book a cruise, and later an Hawaiian vacation for my daughter’s high school graduation. When we go anywhere we always have the maps and guides. My gps has the AAA guides on it to let me know a good restaurant, hotel, etc. in the area. They offer discounts on restaurants, hotels, amusement parks, all kinds of travel. Best of all most DMV services you can complete without having to go to the DMV and wait forever. That alone is worth the yearly fee.

Big huge building, great location, DMV services. What more can you ask for?
Even if AAA did not ofter their awesome emergency roadside service I would probably still remain a member just for their DMV services. Instead of waiting for hours at DMV you end up waiting 5 or 10 minutes for the same exact thing at AAA.
This AAA facility is in an awesome spot… right on Victoria Avenue between Telephone and the 101 freeway… it is nice and convenient and in the middle of everything. The building is huge… maybe it had been used as a bank or offices before but it seems really big for just a AAA office. They fill it up nicely now but it just seems like it may have been occupied by another business before.
I have never used AAA or this location for their maps, insurance or travel services… it seems like those things in an office are a bit outdated. I guess there are still people out there that do not use smart phones and still want a physical map of their destination.
I am happy we have such a nice AAA location just within driving distance of home.
