I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. This place has not changed owner since Ive been coming. Nice guy. Variety of different flavor ice creams. They also offer smoothies, milkshakes and other drinks.

Really liked the ice cream here. Perfect on a hot day and the guy was friendly and patient with us.

Just went in on a whim. One of the best whims I could have hoped for. I was thinking just a single scoop and asked to try the coffee & Oreo, then the server turned the spoon around and asked me what else I’d like to try. Went with the toffee crunch and ended up getting a scoop of each. Delicious.

Ice cream(cookie dough) and service are excellent. I come here almost every time I am in Venice. Don’t order lattes though ;) The espresso /coffee is not as good.

Had a terrible experience coming here. The owner was so rude, he was yelling the poor lady who works with him. Ice cream is overcharged. Don’t come here, you will regret.

Best ice cream in Venice! Have been coming to this ice cream shop for years and it’s one my favorites. It’s located in a small alleyway in the middle of the boardwalk. At the end to the left hand side. The guy that’s always there(not sure if he’s the owner or a manger) is really friendly. Always lets you try out samples. They also have a cool funny painting on the ceiling.

Mmmm. Very good ice-cream(and cookies). It’s a wee hard to find at first, if you’re walking from, say, Santa Monica Beach, but there it is. Just keep you’re eyes out around Rose. The Strawberry Ice Cream is refreshing, as is the Chocolate Lovers Chocolate. A single scoop in a waffle cone sets you back $ 3.95 before tip — which, of course you don’t want to neglect. When Yogurt just won’t do – it’s Venice Beach Ice Cream & Gelato to the rescue !

Without a doubt, the BEST ice cream on the boardwalk. The place is tucked away in a small plaza/alley, next to the blue house. You can spot it by the bikes out front from the rental store. Tried the Butter Pecan, Praline Pecan Supreme, Strawberry, Choc. Chip Mint, and a few others. All of them were good. It melts a little quicker than usual, even on chilly days in the shade but the taste is so damn good. Better than anything I’ve ever purchased in a carton.

came in here to get an ice cream fix while at the beach, must of caught this place on an off day, the ice cream was half melted, and had to be eaten rapidly to avoid wearing it, not what I expect, for that amount of money.

I love Venice Beach, it’s one of the most interesting areas of greater LA. We were walking along the promenade and I spotted this cool old shopping court with its striking architecture and cute green tile roofs. We saw the giant ice cream cone outside the door and couldn’t resist! I’m an architecture nerd so let me talk about that for a sec. This little court is a relic from LA’s past when cute architecture and pedestrian scale development was important.(There isn’t even a parking lot!) Inside this little shop there are beautiful details like the tin ceiling and ornate columns capitols and arches. It’s a great little piece of real estate. I got the chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream. It was really good, very flavorful. Maybe it could have used a little more dough, but not much to complain about. The girl working behind the counter was stoned out of her mind. Pretty funny, and appropriate for Venice, but it also made service really slow!

Every time I visit Venice Beach I HAVE to get some ice cream here. Their coconut pineapple is a personal favorite, as is the rocky road and my all-time favorite mint chocolate chip. I love getting a cup and walking down the boardwalk with it. Who needs to sit down at a table when you have the ocean at your feet?!

We always have room for desert. So we strolled into Venice Café on Venice Beach and ordered dulce de leche gelato — delicious, hazelnut gelato — delectable, tiramisu cake — scrumptuous and chocolate mousse walnut cake — yummy! They only take cash and standing room only on the inside, but there’s plenty of outdoor seating in the courtyard right outside their door.

I find it funny that an «ice cream and gelato café» only offers 1 flavor of gelato(chocolate), 2 sorbets(mango, chocolate), and all the rest is ice cream. My husband the chocoholic was plenty satisfied with the single choice of gelato(creamy, rich, and malty), and the mango sorbet was seriously like a mango exploding in your mouth(but in the best way), but I’d have to ding them one star for the lack of variety. But if you’re down by the beach and need a hit of gelato/sorbet, I’d give it a go.
