Splash Sun Fun

Great shop!

Splash is one of the larger swim and beach accessories stores around. They offer a good selection of shells, key chains and small trinkets for gifts. Great for tourists, although a little bit pricey for locals I think. Not a bad place overall, definitely good with variety.

This place is on the corner of the main drag of Venice’s little downtown area. If you’re looking for bathing suits, sandals, Florida tees, caps, or trashy trinkets like keychains, shotglasses, seashell paraphernalia etc., there’s a lot here. It’s clearly touristy stuff, but not even the kind of touristy stuff I was seeking (postcards, candy to take back to work). I did find a nice Hawaiian shirt for my boyfriend there though.
Also, their neon «Open» sign over the parking lot wasn’t on, though it seemed like they should be open by the time we were there. Indeed they were, so I mentioned it nicely to the lady when we walked in, and she was pretty snarky about it. Makes me reluctant to return on future visits!
