I am not a client of Ms. Donna-Lee Maria Roden’s but have been subjected to, in my opinion, her very unprofessional behavior and hatred. I have never met this person and we have only spoken once. In my opinion, she has used her position to financially cause me harm. I can’t begin to address the emotional pain she has delivered me. I lost a beloved relative who had enlisted Ms. Roden’s services to prepare my relative’s Will. Ms. Roden had all my contact information prior to my relative’s death, yet I was unaware of my relative’s death for nearly a month. That information was imparted to me in the most cruel manner of which, I am certain, Ms. Roden was aware. She never directly contacted me, but let the Trust company and my relative’s Personal Representative(her new client) deliver that information in a poorly written and inaccurate letter. Even though I attempted to contact Ms. Roden by phone, she did not return my second and final phone call. I have pieced together what happened to my relative during those final days and have had to find my own sense of closure. I also needed to retain an attorney so my voice could be heard. Ms. Roden would not respond to my attorney either, finally leading Ms. Roden’s enlisting a litigation attorney to help her deal with the problems she alone created. My relative’s estate paid for the additional legal fees plus Ms. Roden’s percentage. Even though I am an equal beneficiary under the terms of my relative’s Will, I am the only beneficiary who paid thousands of dollars for legal representation. In my opinion, Ms. Roden placed herself at such an elevated level, most reasonable people would not dare go there… yet she did. I have never been treated so poorly by any professional in all my life and I am older than Ms. Roden. I am not a mental health professional, but Ms. Roden’s hatred of me does not appear to be an average response to a total stranger and someone who has experienced loss. Now that I no longer have any older living relatives or relatives I am willing to acknowledge, especially in Florida, I can put this horrible experience behind me, but my treatment by Ms. Roden will never be forgotten. My bet is, Ms. Roden is very satisfied with what she has accomplished. Not well at all. This might be a good time for Ms. Roden to find other work that makes her happier. Best wishes to ya!
