The Unilocal score for this place is so low. The food here is not that bad. They at least deserve three stars. If you compare it to Kogi then yeah it’s not even a contest. When I think about it the short rib burrito I got was small, but the flavors were good. Was it amazing? Not really. I thought about giving 4 stars, but what I had wasn’t anything all that special. They get a big gold star for the effort though.

I tried this truck the other night in Granada Hills. I’ve been working my way through the trucks and it was time to try Komanna. I tried the«Beef Lunchbox» which cost $ 5.50 and consisted of tender and tasty beef over rice with a small salad and radish pickles. I sat at a small table they had setup and my order was ready in 5 minutes. As I was eating the owner came over and asked how everything was. I enjoyed the meal and the special attention the owner gave me. I would eat here again!

Not the best Korean/Mex food truck but not the worst either! I ordered one of each taco: the pork one was pretty tasty, the chicken was a little dry, and the beef one was very tender and juicy. Out of the three, I would definitely order the beef one again and skip the chicken one. The guy running the truck was really nice. He was kind enough to let me know that buying three beef tacos was a better deal than getting one of each. Also, he wrapped up my tacos for me after I told him that I was bringing it back to my apartment, so nice! If Komanna is ever in the area and I happen to be in the mood for beef tacos, I might stop by again. 3 stars.

Not great. The burrito was dry and didn’t have much flavor. I saw that they added ramen to the menu and asked them if they were«fresh noodles.» After confirming that they were, to my dismay I had just paid $ 6 for essentially Cup of Noodle Ramen with pork. They clearly took the instant ramen that’s worth about .50 and put hot water. It would have been fine if they admitted that the noodles were NOT fresh. I felt cheated and couldn’t complain because I had walked all the way back to my office before investigating. I would argue that the instant Korean Ramen in the trunk of my car for emergencies was a lot better. Never again.

Underwhelming meal from an underwhelming truck. I was starving when I approached it and thought I would, at very least, receive the poor man’s version of Kogi. Sadly, this wasn’t the case. I was served two super boring tacos and a not-so-great orange soda with pulp. A waste of stomach space.

They were really busy(2 customers) I guess that’s why my ONE taco took 20 minutes to make. They lost my bloody ticket when they just had 2 customers. I was so pissed off by the time I got my taco that it does not matter that it tasted ok.

Komanna did more than just satisfy my taste buds, and they know how to do Korean-Mexican Fusion food well!

Awesome mix of traditional Korean and Mex eatery. Loved their exclusive menu, beef tofu burrito. It’s a healthy combination also, with a lot of vegetable and kimchi inside. Definitely would come back and bring friends!

My husband and I found ourselves together in the west-side during lunch time on a beautiful day. We decided to cruise by museum row and take our pick of the food trucks parked along Wilshire. Why we picked this kinda’ dingy Ko-Mex mom & pop truck we don’t know, but it called to us. My husband had a tofu and Korean beef burrito for $ 6. I ordered the curry and Korean Chicken plate with rice for $ 7. We took our food and grabbed a blanket from the trunk and walked across the street to the museum where we had ourselves a little outdoor picnic. The weather was perfect and while it was amazing to be outdoors enjoying the weather, our food was really not that great. I was really disappointed in the curry plate. The curry itself was a waste of hunger space; I definitely make it better at home. The sides it came with, kimchee tofu and iceberg salad, were also bland and consumed just because I was hungry. The husband fared better with his kimchee beef burrito. He liked the Ko-Mex fusion flavors and consumed the entire thing in what seemed like 5 breaths. Although he enjoyed his burrito, of course he couldn’t help comparing it to some of the other places where he had similar items that packed more flavor. … This had nothing to do with anything but when we got back to our car we had a parking ticket: street cleaning – BOOOOO!!!

I caught up with the Komanna truck today bear Museum Row, and while it wasn’t bad; I couldn’t help but compare them to other Korean Fusion trucks like Calbi, Don Chow and Kogi. The truck seemed dingy, the menu board needed a makeover and GASP – their Diet Cola was Shasta, just like the 99 Cent Only store. They also seemed a bit on the impersonal side; most food trucks call me «Bill» they called me «37». I did get a curry beef bowl though; it was eight bucks with the Diet Shasta and found it to be average. The beef was tender and lean, and the rice was soft and fluffy; so let’s give them props there, but they overfilled the salad part of my Styrofoam tray, with a generic creamy psuedo-ranch dressing. They filled the other conmpartment with mango slices. I would say they are a 3.5, but I am inclined to lower them because there was a bout a ten minute wait after I ordered, even though there was just one man with a small order ahead of me. Also they have chosen not to comply with the new LA smoking laws that require posting of «No Smoking Within 40 Feet» signs on the truck. Gourmet Food Truck #124 on my never-ending quest to try every truck in «So Cal»

Ummm, ya so the food truck bandwagon was in full effect at the LA art walk this past Thursday night. There must have been a couple of dozen different Korean-fushion, Kogi come lately trucks at the event. The trucks are scattered in clusters in parking lots throughout the bank district where the Artwalk event is held. I am not sure why I felt so compelled to try a few different trucks but I did to varying satisfaction. Of the 3 places we tried, this stop was last and the worst of the lot. I ordered the spicy pork and spicy beef tacos. Strangely we waited nearly 20 minutes to get our food and this was at 11pm when things were winding down. Even the drunken frat boys waiting for their grub were getting restless. The tacos were tough and grisly, yuck. Threw half the stuff out and def won’t be seeking this truck out during the next Artwalk event.

revisited this truck during lunch across from lacma on monday. after the fond first experience of the spicy pork taco, i had heightened expectations for the chicken and the beef. they were not met. in fact, all three tacos are exactly the same, save the protein. and that, my friends, is the extent of the menu. you can get chicken, pork, beef, or tofu with their«spicy»(which has a bite but also a nice peanut sweetness to it) in rice bowl, taco, burrito, or quesadilla form. it works best with the pork. either that, or i was drunker than i thought the first time. i’ll have to try the pork again and see, i guess. also intrigued by the kimchee rice so i’ll give them one more chance.

I’m surprised there aren’t more reviews for this truck by now. Anyway, I caught them in Venice and went for a burrito. The gal taking orders was very kind and patient — there are always some weirdos in Venice. Food is moderately priced and pretty tasty. I didn’t know what to expect, but it was more traditional Korean than say Kogi’s Ko-Mex style. You can get it with or w/o tofu as some people don’t care for it. I want to try out some of their other stuff but wasn’t too hungry that one time.

Meh. I’ve had better Korean, and better KoMex fusion, and better from a truck at that. I had the quesadilla + beef(a solid OK), hubby had the pork burrito(a MEH), friend 1 had the regular quesadilla(apparently delicious) and friend 2 had a beef plate of some sort(not a hit at all). Overall it was a miss for us. Not an upsetting food experience, but not one that begs for a repeat visit.
