We installed the unit less than one year ago without any problems. The technicians were great. We arrived today and we tried to turn the heat back on and it wouldn’t turn on. I called and they gave me instructions how to turn back on. She did not give the complete instruction correctly.
We had to pay a service fee of $ 50.00 for the tech to come out to show us how to turn. I called to negotiate the fee. They would not adjust it. My mom is on a fixed income. I know it’s a business but the unit is less than a year old. The fee should of been less. They really don’t care. Sorry, that’s how I feel.

Tony and the guys at Honest Air are amazing! I bought a villa in Sarasota a couple months ago. Two weeks after closing there was a huge problem with the AC unit (yes, I had it inspected and no, the AC problem wasn’t noted). There was no trip switch, so when the water got to a certain level, it didn’t shut off and it overflowed into my ceiling.
I received many quotes. If the other company’s weren’t extremely high, they wanted to sell you on all the extras and tried to pressure me into making a decision right then and there. A friend suggested I call Honest Air and I’m glad I did.
Tony (Honest Air) came in, did a thorough inspection, showed me options to fix vs replace, followed by his recommendations. He gave me a fair estimate. I called him many times before committing to ask questions and each time he was patient and took the time to walk me through different scenarios. It didn’t take long to decide and then of course I wanted it done right away, especially since it was June and no AC, Tony was able to moved things around and scheduled my installation within three days. They brought me a portable AC unit to help out.
The installers were professional and thorough. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I have recommended them to several of my friends, and all have had the same great experiences.

honest air conditioning of venice are thieves, got my evap coil replaced on my unit. unit under warranty no charge for parts. took service tech 1 hour to install. charged me $ 600.00 they are not honest they are crooks!

Stay as far away from this company as possible. Their installation at my home has FAILED inspection THREE times. There are many A/​C companies in the Sarasota area. Do yourself a favor and select another company.

I was reluctant to hire a company with a corny name like «honest» but I have to say they are honest and much more. Fair pricing, responsive and knowledgable staff as well as first class workmanship. They replaced my 18 year old Trane A/​C and I couldn’t be happier. They even credited me for the standard thermostat towards a Nest and installed it for me. Great company in an area where many take advantage of the unsuspecting. Highly recommended — I will hire them again!
