Cheap beer accompanied by a greasy delicious burger seem to be the main draw. Other signature lowbrow features include wobbly stools, dim lighting, and intoxicated 50-​year-​olds just itching to jump into your conversation.
There’s a pool table that sometimes gets pushed to the side to make a small dance floor for the country rock bands that frequent the place on weekends.
Come here at the end of the night for a last call beer and a hangover-​easing burger.

Yes, it is a dive bar. Yes, there are regulars who start early in the morning and hold stools all day and into the night. Yes, it is the best hamburger in the Venice-​Marina area. People watching included, no extra charge.

Great dive bar in Venice! They have quick service, fun music and daytime bands. 2 pool tables and cold beer. Word on the street is they have the best burgers in Venice! I’ll be back soon…

This place has a great locaiton and bike parking right out front. My apartment is only a mile away and a short bike ride.
The breakfast burritos are only $ 6 and an OJ is only $ 2 and a beer is about $ 4. You honestly cannot beat those prices. two people can get a delicious breakfast there and get out for $ 20 including tip.
The burritos were delicious and were just enough food. The staff was friendly and the vibe is great. New favorite breakfast place.

This really is like a bar. If you are trying to sit and have food this is not the place. They are a few seats. and the seats that were open people had stuff holding so you really had to stand… its two stools by the door in front of the grill that looks like its made for people that want to seat and it. They say it kbown for the burgers

I know that if you’re on the West Side and you’re hungering for a burger, any basic will tell you to go to Father’s Office — but get a dingier (and fun!) experience in the Marina by checking out Hinano. On the crowded Washington strip (resist the urge to hit Cabo Cantina for a huge ass marg) — Hinano sits in an unassuming spot to serve you burgers, with no muss or fuss.
Cheese or not, mayo, mustard, some veggies. That’s about it. (You can add chili, bacon, or hot links on top!) Go forth and enjoy!

Pretty good $ 5 breakfast. There were even guys in there drinking at 8AM. 4– star bar… However it is a 5 star Dive Bar for sure. A dive bar that has breakfast, burgers, and live music? TOTALLY EPIC BRO… Plus you can look at the Hipsters.

As a local mariner, I’ve been here numerous times. This is where the local marine industry folks enjoy going to hang out, so you’ll find a lot of those types along with the usual crowd that ventures down to Washington & Pacific.
The highlights here are as follows:
— pool tables
— live music on weekends
— inexpensive COLD beer
— THE BURGERS!
In case you don’t know it, these burgers are killer. They’re the only option on the menu because the place doesn’t have a full kitchen, but they’re oh so good. Next time you’re in here, order a couple frosty brews, listen to some music, and when the inclination hits you, order a burger. You’ll find it served with a pickle and chips, just the way the locals love it.
That being said, don’t forget to bring cash, because they don’t take credit cards!

Favorite dive bar, especially for a lazy Sunday fun day. Reasons listed below:

One of the only dive bars left on the westside/​Venice area that hasn’t been bought and ruined or overrun by hipster douchebags or 20 somethings.
GTFO! One of the only spots left for native locals! When will the migration end?! I miss «The Brigg»…the way it used to be. Not the industrial/​techno dump it is now! Please help keep Venice «cool»!!!

Loved this bar and also grabbing a quick cheap breakfast here. Very cool vibe, great beers on tap and friendly bartenders. My kinda dive. Only regret is not trying a burger, they looked great!

Favorite bar tenders are Amanda and Johnny. Great local vibe and live music on the weekends. Jukebox plays everything, search for your favorite obscure artist and chances are they’ll be there.
Good place to play pool on weeknights.

I live a block away and whenever I don’t want to cook and/​or want a real cold beer things the spot! Great burgers… haven’t tried their breakfast but dear load baby Jesus I’m in love. Lol its cash only so bring your Franklins.

This is an ok dive bar. I went with some buddies to watch a warriors game. We sat at the bar and mind you there’s two tvs there with additional ones throughout the place and when i noticed one got changed to the hockey game I asked the male bartender if he could change it back. And very rudely he said «no another customer requested» and walked away. Um, both the tvs at the bar was playing the same game. We ordered a pitcher despite his attitude and my friend made a joke after spilling some of our beer he gave him the most dirtiest looks ever. Never coming here again.

Great place close to the beach. Vibrant, lively dive bar with burgers starting from $ 6.50 and many types of beer. Burger comes with nice variety of pickles. Get it with extra cheese if you can, I wish I had done that.
Forget about the other places around unless you are on a date. But a fun date would enjoy this place too.
I am not sure if I like the can beers but will be back for sure.

Hinano reminds me of an Irish pub somewhere in Delavan (Lake Geneva) Wisconsin, but with a beachy feel! Cash only, and you have to order up front, and they yell your name out when your food is ready. Menu is on the wall, I recommend getting their chili burger. It is just fantastic. Portions are huge, and comes with chips (no fries), but really huge pickles! Yum! There are two pool tables, full bar of course, and when you can, talk to the locals here. They have plenty of stories to share with you. I even met a woman who has been dining here for a very long time that made my almond eyes go globular! Hahaha…

This was my first meal in Venice, and I loved it. My boyfriend and I flew out to spend a weekend in LA back in February and Hinano happened to be around the corner from where we were staying.
The place is very much a dive bar. We weren’t expecting anything fancy and just wanted a good burger. And boy, did this place deliver. We ordered doubles, and what we got were absolutely monstrous! These were phenomal burgers. We each demolished our burger, and I didn’t even feel awful afterwards. Don’t know if it’s just the LA vibe or what, but food feels healthier and tastes fresher in LA compared to New York.
The burgers came with a bag of chips, but I really would have loved a choice in what I got. My boyfriend got a bag of Doritos and I got a bag of Fritos. When I got the bag of Fritos, I inwardly groaned and had never been so thankful that I had a boyfriend who received a bag of Doritos. I’m sure I could’ve asked for something else, but I didn’t want to be a bother. I just have this irrational hate for Fritos.
The lady at the bar was very sweet and personable, chatted with us about how we were liking LA, where we were staying, etc. The reason I’m not giving this place a five star review is because at some point, some guy (homeless perhaps?) approached us and started talking to us. It was uncomfortable and the bartender actually told him to get out, but I just wanted to be able to enjoy my delicious burger in peace without someone looming over us.
Would definitely come back here if I wanted a burger in the Venice area. Not sure I would come here to chill, but dive bars aren’t really for me anyway.

I love love love dive bars like Hinano! Very old-​school, very American, with a history behind every chair, every glass and every crack on those tables. I don’t drink beer, but in places like that I always order a bottle of something that at least looks like beer, it just feels right.
My favorite is that brick table in the corner, perfect for a small group, or just to be left alone with their perfect burger with hot link.

Cheeseburger won’t change your life, but you get what you pay for, solid place to go if you’re in Venice.
Full Course:
I got their cheeseburger. They also throw in a random bag of chips, which I didn’t like so much, especially because I didn’t get to choose what I got. Cheetos? C’mon man. Not when you’re trying to serve a quality cheeseburger. I want FRIES! I did like getting a pickle and peppers, I never really expect those kinds of things and it’s always a surprise when I do, even when I don’t want them.
You know what you can choose to add to their cheeseburger? Bacon and a hot link. So I did. The end result was pretty damn tasty, it’s not often you get to have three different kinds of meat in a cheeseburger. It was balanced perfectly between the sturdy sesame-​seed bun (I feel like I never see those outside of fast food joints these days) and the substantial amount of meat. Though I don’t know where the «hot» part of «hot link» came in, it was just a link as far as I was concerned. Not a big deal, but an important flavor detail nonetheless.
This burger wasn’t life-​changing or anything, I can’t say I would go out of my way for it. But if you find yourself at the end of Washington Blvd with a serious cheeseburger craving, Hinano Café isn’t a bad decision.

Pour les français qui résident à côté (par exemple au inn venice at the beach) très chouette cantine pour goûter au charme du quartier avec la population. Super margueritas mais aussi tout ce qu’on attend d’un café restau pour boire une bière ou dîner en terrasse. Ambiance californienne ultra décontractée, mélange de tous les publics, très bon service… etc .
