This is the best place to grab a quick bite on the boardwalk. Easily the best prices of any restaurant by the beach. Great breakfast sandwiches. Friendly, quick service and an awesome out door area to see the ocean and people watch. I’ve been a regular customer for more than a decade.

Ordered a Pastrami sandwich. It was served in the form of a «regular» sandwich, served cold, with lettuce and there were 2 whole thinly sliced pieces of meat contained within the confines of the bread. In short they give you less than ½ the meat you would expect in a sandwich for twice the cost. I spend a good part of the summer in Venice and will never eat there again.

First time here, only came to eat here cause there was a place to sit & shade. Ordered the chilly cheeseburger and the reg cheeseburger that shit sucks. The fries tasted like plastic. Even put salt on it & still didn’t taste like anything. I gave it a 1 & that’s just me being nice. Not worth $ 22. I suggest skip this one and go somewhere else.

Treated very poorly by the man who took our order. No manners at all. The food is overpriced. They ignored my son who went up to ask for water. I will not come to this place again. So sorry that I spent my money here.

My friends and I ordered: 3 burgers which all of them were horrible, all my friends felt sick afterwards. 1 hotdog combo which tasted alright, nothing spectacular which also comes with fries. The ketchup tasted so weird and watery, they sure did not sure Heinz ketchup! I would not come back, if I did, I’ll try other things on the menu.

This place is really bad. It’s overpriced, and it’s cash only, seriously it’s 2014, you can get a square reader for 10 $, which is how much they charge for 2 fountain drinks with a refill. Do not recommend…

This is a family owned and operated establishment, which you can clearly see as you walk in!
I didn’t think the female that took our order was very friendly, but thats okay I guess! It was extremely hot!
It was pretty difficult to find a table, but if all else fails you can take it to the ocean, and eat on the beach.
Unfortunately people trying to sell you something can come right up to the table you’re sitting at, as there is just a very small separator between you and them.
I got the turkey sandwich without Mayo, and fries — which was pretty good, considering the circumstances we were in, and not many options around.
I was concerned for a second about food poisoning, but honestly all is good!
I would only recommend this location if you were in a similar situation that we were, HUNGRY & not wanting a sit — down restaurant!

I work right above Café Venecia so this is definitely one of my favorite cafés since it’s convenient. Our office is hooked on their BLT’s which are actually some of the best I’ve had. They serve really good ice cream as well and it’s common to see families and couples get a treat as they go to the beach. They have a cute indoor and outdoor sitting area. I recommend sitting outside and watching everything that goes on the boardwalk. They are pretty fast when making the food — I’ve never had to wait too long even when they were busy.

This place is cash only but there is an ATM.

It’s wonderful to find a casual dining spot on the Venice boardwalk with an A rating plus outdoor seating to enjoy the ocean view while you have lunch! Place is super clean and staff is friendly with a great smile! The coffee, lattes, cappuccinos and espressos are delicious! Just remember it’s Cash Only!

After a day of playing at the beach, we were HUNGRY! If you would like a place to rest up, this is the place. Just make sure to have some cash on you. There is a patio to sit at to enjoy the views of the beach and do some people watching. There is a variety of sandwiches, hamburgers, sides, and ice cream. Service was with a smile and food came out quickly and was yummy. Good place to refuel.

Found this place after an insane amount of walking at which point we were starving. It looked like the most decent place to grab a quick bite so in we went. There was a longer line so we took that as a good sign. We all ordered the cheeseburger combo that came out to about $ 8 (cheap compared to some of the other places there).
Once the food came out I proceeded to scarf it down. The burger itself was decent (I got mine without the thousand island dressing they put in it). The fries however were not good. They seemed like they were thrown on the grill so they were a little hard. Not only that but on some sides they were super brown and on the other side they looked undercooked. Bottom line, they were dry and they came with seasoning on them.
Like others mentioned, if you’re starving then this place might be worth a shot but if you can wait, go somewhere else.

I totally agree with Rachel J, but it could be because we’re both brits. I absolutely love this place! My uncle comes here pretty much every morning on his bike because he lives about 5 minutes away cycling (and he used to go here with his friend Robert Downey Jr: my claim to fame!)
The burgers are crazy good, and this place can be really busy, but I’ve also seen it relatively quiet because it’s quite far up Ocean Front Walk. There’s a waitress who’s name I can’t remember, who I think is Canadian, who’s absolutely lovely also!

OMG. I want to move to Venice Beach ASAP. mainly because this is one of the best cheeseburgers I’ve ever had in my natural life. The vanilla milkshake was also pretty good! Highly recommended. I hope this review bumps up the score… these other reviewers are CRAZY! take it from me… i know a good cheeeeseburger!!!

Mediocre fast food, and probably the worst food I’ve had on Venice Beach. It explains why it was the only place with no lines. Cheap for Venice Beach, but overpriced for anywhere else. Worth the wait to go somewhere else.

My friend and I went to Venice yesterday and there was so much traffic that by the time we got there, she was STARVING for food… any food… and she chose this place.
I wouldn’t suggest coming here unless you’re starving and you don’t know where to go… or you’re just tired of walking and happen to be standing out front.
I ordered a cheeseburger & a strawberry/​lemonade slush. The slush was good. The cheeseburger, not so much. The patty didn’t taste fresh. It tasted like a patty that had been microwaved and it wasn’t hot, just warm. It had teeny tiny bits of tomato which I thought was extremely weird. The sauce was pretty good. I didn’t order fries because I planned to share with my friend and I’m glad I didn’t order any. They were really TINY and tasted like store-​bought fries that were heated in a microwave.
I’ve actually had BETTER store-​bought fries.
I won’t come here again and you shouldn’t either.

Basic sandwiches, burgers and dogs. I had a hamburger and a hot dog with a soda for $ 6.43, so I don’t know what everyone’s talking about saying that this place is a rip off. No, the food wasn’t exactly gourmet but it was basic and tasty… and really cheap if you consider that its in such a touristy location.

I really have no complaints here. It’s not amazing though. It kind of helps when you haven’t eaten all day and finally make the decision to stop for food. The food (hamburger and fries) was pretty good. Nothing special though. It’s hard to judge when I was so hungry. Really, I don’t think it was bad though either. Would I ever come here again? Ehh, you might want to only try this place if there’s absolutely nothing else of interest on the Venice Beach strip. It’s small. the food is a little below average. and the shakes were gross (I didn’t know you could mess up on the taste of shakes.)
