The best acupuncture experience I had so far.

Adam and Cheryl are an amazing combo. You can really tell Adam is not simply going through the motions, he genuinely has a passion for helping you heal. I came to him a couple months ago with some musculo-​skeletal issues, and they have improved dramatically. I have been to many-​a-​specialist for my issue, and by far his technique and Eastern Medical philosophy has helped me above any other treatment. I am on the path to recovery and couldn’t be in better hands than Adam’s. Cheryl is amazing, too. She is very lovely to work with and has a passion for hospitality and making you feel comfortable.

My husband and I had been trying for a few months and were looking for an extra boost. After my first visit with Adam, I felt calmer, less anxious all over. I was pregnant by my third visit. He also helped me get rid of a few other pestering issues that doctors wrote off as «stress-​related.» I’ve since moved the Bay Area and really miss my sessions with Adam. Plus his prices are very reasonable, there’s no up-​selling — it’s truly a stress-​free oasis. Also bonus points for the front desk person Cheryl — she’s so pleasant and welcoming!

I cannot recommend Adam Griffin highly enough. I have been seeing him on and off over the last several years, and he is absolutely my go-​to for acupuncture in this city. His support on every level helped me through my pregnancy and through those incredibly challenging first months of being a new mother. He is wise, gentle, and gives profound treatments. The office is beautiful and peaceful — a veritable oasis of healing. If you’re even considering acupuncture, check him out. You won’t regret it.

Yuka is, simply put, a great massage therapist. My husband found her and gifted me her pregnancy massage early on in my pregnancy and I am forever thankful that he did.
She grew up with massage and really understands the body and cares about your healing. It was very clear to me after the first massage that she’s in a different category of massage therapists. She is super informative too, not only about what is going on with your body, but about other healthy things and often shares tips and ideas that she either knows from experience or has learned from her other clients. I am now almost through the pregnancy and have seen her monthly except for recently, which has been every two weeks. I find her to be consistent and reliable and just a cool person overall. And my body always feel so amazing for a week after I see her, even though I have a desk job and spend most of my time sitting during the work week.
I hope I don’t need to, but I may use her to induce labor via massage, and I certainly will keep her as my massage therapist postpartum.

This is the best acupuncturist in LA! Adam and Cheryl are both incredible. Cheryl welcomes you in and puts you at ease, gets all your paperwork straight, then Adam takes it from there. His breadth of knowledge is incredible, he knows exactly what to do for you, and you will leave feeling relaxed, refreshed, and light filled. This is a great place! Get to it.

Adam is an amazing person and an amazing Doctor of Accupuncture. I have been working with Adam for over eight years. I first went to him for vertigo, and found the experience of accupuncture so fulfilling and so therapeutic, I continued for years. Adam helped me through fertility struggles, and then through a very healthy pregnancy. I have recently returned for spinal disk problems, and Adam always goes above and beyond with his knowledge and care. I highly recommend Acutonix!

Both Cheryl and Adam were SO lovely from the moment I walked in.
I have had acupuncture before, but it was a shot in the dark one time kind of thing, so I was looking forward to working with Adam on a health issue that recently cropped up.
The facility and his demeanor were so calming and soothing that I passed right out after he left me with my needles sticking out all over. He also addressed nutrition issues and was patient to respond to several emails I sent after the visit asking «is this ok? how about this? Or this?». Yes I was «that guy», but the put up with me and was timely in his responses.
The first visit is a little pricey but they do offer packages after the initial consultation so ask. Also my insurance doesn’t cover this (I’m SO not surprised) but Cheryl told me that many do cover a percentage of the cost so worth checking.
Location is prime — right around the corner of Venice and Abbot Kinney — if you’ve gone to the Modern Dog store you’ve gone too far.

I was recommended to Adam for fertility treatment. I am 40 and had been trying to get pregnant with my first. I tried IUI and had a miscarriage and tried it again and didn’t get pregnant. i was feeling very discouraged and equally as broke. So I figured i’d give it a go.
I went every week for about 6 weeks before i found out I was pregnant! Wow! I was amazed that it really worked. Acutonix is a very nice facility, very relaxing and comfortable and Adam is a sweetheart.
I would highly recommend Acutonix for anyone trying to conceive.

My experience at Acutonix was nothing short of amazing. This was my first time with acupuncture. I’m new to the area and of course went to Unilocal to find a quality practitioner to go to. Adam, the office/​staff and the environment there is soothing and healing.
I had a knee injury from running and I figured if I went to my primary care of even an orthopedist or sports type rehabilitator, I’d be sent off to someone else or signed up for physical therapy sessions. I don’t have insurance and I also highly believe in eastern medicine so thus– my visit.
When I arrived for my first visit, I filled out an extensive questionnaire and had a brief wait until Adam took me to the «therapy area»…don’t know what else to call it. He reviewed my records and took a bit to pinpoint the exact location of my pain and then went away with the needles. If anyone hasn’t tried acupuncture before… the needle insertion process is painless. After the needles are inserted, you get to relax on a very comfy «medical recliner» and hang out with really healing, soothing music.
I had also mentioned to Adam that my sinuses were giving me problems but that wasn’t the main reason I was there. Long story short, within the first day of the first session, my sinuses were completely «fixed» and my knee has returned to a strong pain free knee after only 2 sessions.
If you don’t know much about acupuncture, I discovered that it can fix basically any ailment from depression, insomnia, digestive problems, to chronic pain, acute pain, infertility… the list goes on. I plan to see Adam for another issue in the future and I HIGHLY recommend him as a healer. He is a very calming professional practitioner and I was very impressed by my whole experiences there.

Adam is an awesome practitioner. I appreciate his demeanor and general approach to health. I was a little skeptical — having grown up to believe that only old Chinese men make good accupuncturists. But I totally trust Adam’s gentle expertise, and I totally heed his advice. Acutonix is a relaxing and warm place to visit.

I registered with Unilocal specifically so I could leave Adam Griffin a fabulous review. No health professional has ever made me feel so comfortable and so trusting in my life. He has the most gentle, knowledgeable way about him — I really looked forward to my acupuncture visits. More importantly, he really helped me with my issues, through a super effective combination of acupuncture sessions, herbal supplements, and suggested dietary changes.
I had never been to acupuncture before, and I was somewhat skeptical, but there is no doubt this man knows what he is doing and does it well.

I have no other acupuncture experience to go on, but working with Adam for the past 2 months has be great! I find it to be a relief to get the hour or so to go and be calm and focus on what’s going on with my body rather than the outside world. Adam Griffin is very talented, calm, and gentle. I have found that the time I spend with him is quite useful and informative. Also, the office manager, Valerie, is very helpful and accommodating in terms of scheduling and pricing.

I’ve been going to Acutonix for 4+ years and can thank Adam Griffin for helping me change many life-​balance and health challenges that I’ve faced with during this time. Adam’s approach includes acupuncture, herbs, nutrition and more for a very well-​rounded experience. The space is warm, clean, and not at all intimidating for the first time patient. Everyone there is friendly and its in a very convenient location on the West Side. 5+ starts from me!

This place is great. Adam is a wonderful healer and the space is warm and comfortable. So easy all in and he healed me so much better than any other doctor could. Of course this begins with his style, by listening to my pain and understanding it, then being progressive with his treatment and patient with my schedule. If you are west side, go see him!

A good friend enthusiastically recommended Adam Griffin for acupuncture, and now I know why. He is a healer: calm, warm, focused, knowledgable. I felt upon meeting him like I was in good hands. It was my first time getting acupuncture, and like the other reviewer, he made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. Acutonix is a well-​designed space, serene and quiet and clean. It was a positive experience, from beginning to end.

I had a massage with Yuka Okajima yesterday, and I must tell you that it was THE BEST massage I have ever had in my entire life. Yuka’s been doing massage for over nine years, and it shows in the way she works. She used a combination of Thai, Deep Tissue, Sports, and Shiatsu on me yesterday — I also know massage, but it’s not like I can thoroughly massage myself, so I have to go out and get it.
I’ve had tons of massages, but nothing like hers. Yuka understands the body, and isn’t simply looking for tension and knots. She finds every bit of tension in the body, she knows what leads to where, and she targets every issue you can have without you even having to tell her what they are.
She has quite a clientele base, and her talent shows because people come back and are loyal to her for years upon years. As of yesterday, I also truly understand why they do so, and I must admit that I will probably never let any other masseuse touch me ever again.
Yuka knew exactly what to do, and the next day I’m not as sore and stiff [even after a deep tissue massage, which can leave your muscles in the inflammatory response mode for a day or two] and my range of motion is returning.
The acupuncturist here is also legendary, and he is also constantly booked.
Acutonix itself is a very comforting experience. It has an Asian motif [go figure, the main owner is a TCM practitioner], and there is always soft music/​chanting playing in the background. I have never felt more at peace and relaxed than after my massage yesterday.
Call and ask for Yuka, you won’t regret it.

I went to Acutonix on a glowing recommendation from a friend. Adam Griffin is a very kind, friendly listener who helps with centering and focusing on the breath and also guided me through my first acupuncture session. I had never tried it before and was nervous, but Adam is a professional and very helpful and understanding. I already feel results and look forward to going back. The Acutonix rooms are relaxing and peaceful and it is conveniently located on Abbot Kinney. It is an oasis of relaxation and rejuvenation.
