Cargomatic

I own a manufacturing company in the local LA area, and love Cargomatic! The system offers me complete visibility over all of my shipments, I have all of my invoices/​PODs right there at my hands, and the prices are great. Overall, I love working with this company, and am excited to see what is next!

Found out about Cargomatic through a techie friend that always tells me about the coolest apps. Since I’m in shipping, he told me about Cargomatic. They have trucks driving all around LA with GPS phones so you can see where they are. If they want more freight on their trucks or don’t have enough work, you can offer them your shipments for dirt cheap. The first time tried it I entered a pick up address in North Hollywood for a delivery in Hawthorne. It wasn’t super urgent but I was still a little sketchy since I’d never worked with this carrier before and I know they are a tech start up. Never the less, this Über like shipping site is sick and I had to try it out. Not to mention, the price was $ 40 less than FedEx Freight Economy and delivered Next Day instead of 2 – 3 Days.
As few minutes after I submitted my first order, I got a note from Cargomatic that a driver was on his way, and I even got his picture and phone number. He showed up about twenty minutes later and the shipment delivered the next day. When I tracked it that morning, I saw the drivers truck driving around on the map. It was so cool. I needed another shipment picked up in Long Beach and delivered to Anaheim yesterday and i used Cargomatic again.
I’m very impressed with the priciing and service. Plus the site is just flat cool. I will be shipping with Cargomatic again, anytime I have local shipments in LA.
