Went to El Toro last night. The service was terrible. Our waiter informed us that there were only two servers. The restaurant wasn’t overly busy but it took over twenty minutes to get our drinks after I had to track down a waiter. The food was good but it took another twenty minutes, and the meals did not arrive, together.
Asked to talk to the manager, he never came by.
Not planning on returning any time soon

This was my first visit here and I really liked it! The atmosphere was alive, the staff was very friendly and the food was great. I thought the salsa was good, not great. It was thick and had a touch of heat but I think some green onions and some cilantro would bring a fresh taste to it. The entrée was great! I had a newer item called a mojaheto (spelling is wrong) with charro beans and rice. The whole meal was great. Definitely we will be back soon.

We have been to many local Mexican joints, but we always come back to El Toro! This is the place we always take out-​of-​town family and friends too. We even brought my sister-in-law’s Mexican husband, who also loved the food. The food is rich and flavorful, the staff is always friendly, and the price cannot be beaten! Great place to go when you want some good Mexican cuisine.

Love coming to El Toro. This is by far my favorite location.
We are a family of six and have never had a wait any of the times we have come here. The service is awesome and our food always comes up quickly and accurately.
I love the chimichangas and the chicken taco salad. They always have some type of specials going on. Oh and try a margarita too… they’re DELICIOUS!

Ok, I went here cause I’m from San Diego and I’m on the search for food that reminds me of home. I failed in that. The food wasnt bad… it just wasnt good. Their selections was pretty basic: burritos, tacos, and fajitas. Again not bad, but there is so many more good things mexican food can offer. No choice of corn tortillas with my dish. It was super loud, I had to put my hand to my ear to think. (to be fair this may had more to do with the large family I was sat next to)
Bottom line: if you’re from the midwest or Northeast you are going to think this place is fine. If you have had real good mexican food you will prob be disappointed.

This is our favorite El Toro! The food is excellent — lots for the $; you never leave hungry! The staff is very friendly. It’s a good possibility that we eat there too often as they know what appetizer we always get ;) REACH magazine always has coupons too!

Excellent service and the food is great. One of my favorite mexican restaurants. Fresh food, cooked correctly. Nice, friendly, prompt service. I’ve been going for years and the experience is consistent.
