Great smoothies but the wait is extremely long and No One really seems to care. added sugar is a no go for me aka turbinado. I find a smoothie I like and it goes away. I do like the option of the drive through but the wait is too long.

A little too chain style for me. Smoothie was ok… on par with Jamba Juice.

It’s decent smoothies, nothing crazy good but unfortunately it takes forever! Make sure if you’re planning on going you have time to wait!

*!*WARNING*!* I would give this lovely smoothy joint 5 stars because of the amazing hospitality from the owners and the staff, the cleanliness and the prices but I stumbled over something that I just can’t stand behind. They add sugar to their smoothies. This was the killer. And even worse, when you look online or I store for the nutrition guide they only list the fruits and veggies and base that they use. They fail to mention that they add sugar into the smoothy. Because of the dishonesty I cannot give them more. I’ll be back — but I will be ordering my drinks with no sugar.

I’m a regular here. I will routinely order up to 3 – 4 times a week. I came through the drive through today and decided I’d try something new(besides the one and only thing I ever get which is the veggie hummus wrap). I asked what all the spinach and feta wrap had in it. She named off the ingredients. Clearly spinach and feta being the main ones. OK folks. Let’s get one fact straight, if you work in the food industry, you need to know your foods and basic facts not only for professional reasons but for lawful reasons such as things like food allergies; nuts, lactose and gluten, etc. Let’s get fact #2 straight: feta is cheese. Simple right? No. I asked her for the spinach and feta wrap with light cheese. She responded, «it doesn’t have cheese». I responded, «it has feta, right?» «Yes» “Ok, light cheese please” «It doesn’t say it has cheese» «Feta is cheese» «It doesn’t have cheese in it» I gave up. I resorted back to my veggie hummus wrap. When I got to the window, I informed the girl that I was using the perka app for my rewards, she said, «wendy?» And I said no, «Whitnai»(mind you, they read your name on the computer when you’ve checked in.) My thoughts ‘is she high or just messing with me?‘ Then I very considerately thought I’d save the girl from future embarrassment by kindly informing her that feta is in fact cheese. She responded«I don’t even know what that is». Game over. You cannot fix stupid.(I’m sorry but it’s easier to say when the girl was just plain rude the entire experience) I got my wrap and my smoothies and never received my reward on perka. Unfortunatly, I would hate to encounter this sad employee who hates her job and half doesn’t know it again but I do love their food/smoothies. Yes, customer service does matter. I’d recommend getting some new employees or training them better before you lose customers.

The portions are so small. I got a Thai chicken salad that had 4 small pieces of chicken and the box was more than half empty and then a quinoa bowl that was small. I got a kids meal chicken quesadilla which the girls forgot the chips and drink. The smoothies are always pretty good but I would avoid the food. It’s never really busy and it has a drive thru which is nice when you have kids.

Always awesome service and yummy smoothies! I like the fact that there is only one size and is a great value. Watch for their daily specials.

This place is incredible. The smoothies are always made quickly and the service is INCREDIBLE. There is a man who works here, who’s name I cannot recall, who consistently serves me with a smile. He is so kind and friendly, I go back just to chat with him sometimes! The only reason I don’t give 5 stars is because sometimes the smoothies aren’t made the same way, and don’t taste as great as the previous time. But over all, this is a wonderful café with great service!

I would give them 5 stars, but the drive through is terrible. Took 15 to get 1 smoothie. And there was only 2 cars ahead of me. But overall super good smoothies

Terrible experience our last two visits. Today(Thursday) at 6pm there was only one young female working. The drive through was 4 deep. I decided to go in and order two smoothies for the kids. Took over 30 minutes. It was NOT the employees fault. Even during slow days/shifts, a minimum of two employees should be working. Not just to take and make orders, but also for safety and security reasons. These were the same issues in our previous visit. Very disappointing and 100% the fault of the shot caller at this location.

I have been to Tropical Smoothie Café a few times. They have smoothie choices aplenty, some of which include green veggies, and they have all sorts of add-ins like probiotics and vitamins. It is very similar to Jamba Juice except minus the wheatgrass shots and with a bunch of different wraps and sandwiches. My one qualm on the smoothies is that it is a one-size-fits-all type joint and I would prefer a smoothie that is half the size. Still not bad at about $ 5 a smoothie. Blue Lagoon Smoothie(blueberry-strawberry-banana): tastes great but the seeds get stuck in your teeth. Peanut Paradise Smoothie(peanut butter-banana-yogurt-protein powder): so far my favorite, but I am not a fan of processed soy/whey protein powder so I sadly don’t order this anymore unless I’m feeling naughty. I’ve had a few other smoothies but I can’t remember which ones. It’s hard to mess up or go wrong with any smoothie choice, amirite? I’ve had the Turkey-Bacon-Ranch sandwich and it was good. I’d like to try some of their other wraps, but I normally just grab a smoothie to go. The King Caesar and Hummus Veggie wraps look promising. I wish they had normal whole yogurt as a choice between non-fat, and I wish their fruits were grown organically. I can dream, can’t I?

We’ve been a couple times and are always satisfied. Sweet smoothies that are satisfying and a good alternative to Jamba Juice’s. Lots of options too! Healthy to dessert. Try it!

The smoothies are really good but I’d like to mention that the second time I went the three female staff members there were quite rude. When we first came in my sister went to use the bathroom so I wanted to wait for her before ordering. They just stared at me for a couple of minutes without saying anything when finally one of them asked me in a rude tone if I was going to order something(probably thinking we were just there to use the bathroom). I felt very unwelcomed. While I continued to wait they proceeded to stand around and gossip about another a girl who they saw pull into the parking lot very loudly, I In my opinion their actions were very unprofessional, which is a shame since the smoothies were good.

The smoothies are amazing! The food is also delicious. They offer a combo deal that when you order a food item, you can add a smoothie for $ 3. Its annoying when most of the time, the staff forget is deal and you have to remind them.

This is a fantastic place. When their location in Vancouver closed I was so sad and followed them to Portland because I loved their smoothies so much. Now that they’re back in vancouver I could not be happier. It’s gotten to the point where I am recognized and able to have fun banter and chat with the smoothie baristas and they are all(with the exception of one person) really nice. I have only ever had bad service with this location once, and since I have never seen that employee again. They’ve also got a great rewards program that is recorded on your phone, so no cards to lose! They also offer a happy hour twice a day during the winter, have student discounts, and send out text coupons. Seriously, Tropical Smoothie is fabulous and has become part of my route to work. The Rockin’ Raspberry is my favorite, but anything on their menu is excellent.

Finally, a good place for those of us who despise fast food. The smoothies are fantastic, and a great value,(have you priced an Orange Julius lately?). With a sandwich they are $ 3.00. Warning, they are BIG and make a meal in themselves so consider just having one by itself. Tons of fruit options and you can add or omit whatever ingredient you like. I’m addicted to the Mocha Madness, which is coffee and yogurt. The wraps are tasty and healthy without being boring and its worth it to add the spicy mayo… turkey can only do so much on its own! The wraps are grilled which is a even better. They serve breakfast, wraps, flatbreads, sandwiches and salads. Sadly, the Average price for a wrap and smoothie is about $ 10.00, which is quite high for a slice or two of turkey and some salad on a tortilla. If their prices were a bit better I could rate this place higher. Not sure they can make it in this economy at these prices. Also, I have seen the friendliness and service slip a bit since opening. I would still give them 3−½ stars just because they are so much better than any fast food joint.
