The Secret Handshake Tattoo

I have been tattoo’d by all 3 artists here, and am happy with every single one. I send my friends and family here, they are all just as satisfied and have made themselves regulars. Lisa, Kyle, and Lawrence, you are creative understanding artists that are not not stuck ups like most of the shops I’ve experienced over the years. I’m glad I found you :)

These guys are completely awesome! They are very professional and great at making your ideas into something amazing. It is a very clean and comfortable environment. Everyone is very friendly, they make you feel at home when you walk in. They are in fact so awesome that I got 3 tattoos in less than a month!

I’ve experienced shops in Detroit, in one in California, I much prefer the overall experience I had with this shop.
I like the atmosphere of The Secret Handshake. The artists have a lot of personal art framed in their own little stations and around the shop. There’s even a pool table!
Looking through Lisa, Kyle, and Lawrence’s portfolios you can tell each artists has a unique style and special character to each piece but also a uniform style when it comes to more traditional or standard themed tattoos.
I went in the first time on the recommendation of a friend who knew Lawrence’s work. I heard he had just opened a new shop in Vancouver and being from Portland and living without a car I found it convenient that you can take the MAX Train to the #4 Bus (Trimet all day passes work on C-​Trans) that runs from the Delta Park/​Vanport stop all the way to the shop.
The first tattoo was of one of Lawrence’s amazingly imaginative flash pieces. I didn’t go to the shop knowing what I wanted but browsing the walls I quickly found something I fell in love with.
I was so happy with the overall experience from Lawrence’s and the other two artists that I went back with an idea for a personal tattoo.
I will be returning here and recommending this shop regularly.
