The Leak Detectives

The water company came out and told me I had a leak, my water bill was $ 600. I had no water any where and after some research, I found a couple of leak detection companies. I lucked out that Keith could come out that day. He is very professional and personable! He was very methodical in looking for my leak and within the hour found my leak. He also has recommendations on who to use to fix the leak. When MP Plumbing came out they found the leak exactly where Keith said it was. I would highly recommend his services.

We needed someone to find the plastic water main from our pumphouse to the main dwelling. I had found another firm yet they were now only serving Seattle so they referred me to Keith and Julie. Keith was on time and spot on with his tracing… he also found the underground electrical service. Instead of me digging around for a couple of days, we were done in about an hour! Very professional, informative and highly recommended!

Keith is a very understanding and helpful person. I bought a new home last year in Vancouver. A week ago I noticed a large puddle of water next to my house. I did not see where it was coming from so I called Keith because of his reviews on Unilocal.As he was on his way for our appointment I noticed where the leak was coming from, he came and confirmed that it was most likely where the leak was and did not charge me for the trip or his professional opinion! I am planning to build an extensive garden which would require a good amount of digging. Keith came out to my property (a ways outside of town) this morning to locate power lines and water lines surrounding the water pump to my well. He was on time, incredibly knowledgeable and even gave me some great tips on how to keep rabbits and other unwanted critters out of my garden area.
He quoted and charged a very fair price (lower than anyone else I had spoken to). I would recommend Keith to anyone who needs to map water/​power lines.

I called Keith to find a main line water leak under the slab at a commercial car wash I manage in Vancouver. He was able to meet me within an hour even though he was sick and it was a holiday week. I bought a house with a sprinkler system with 4 zones already installed. When two zones of the system started to lose pressure I started looking for the valves to fix the problem. I couldn’t find those valves because they had been overgrown or buried over the years. After many hours of searching I called the leak detectives. Keith came out the next morning before I went to work and in less than an hour he had found both valves, one under several inches of grass and one under several inches of dirt at the base of a tree. I don’t beleive I would have ever found them without Keith’s help. His work saved me the money it would have cost to rebuild my system.

The Leak Detectives — Keith Olson is fantastic. Arrived on time, professional and took the time to explain the process he uses to locate the slow leak somewhere in the water main 3 ft underground to the house. He called back 2 weeks after he was on site to ensure that he had correctly located the leaking pipe area (He warranties his work). I am a bit of a procrastinator, so it took me 4 months after his visit to dig the 3′ hole where he had identified the pipe was broken. Sure enough, he was spot on, to the inch!
Call — «Call before you DIG». This identified telephone and cable wires running directly over the broken pipe area. Took me all day to dig this 3’x3’ hole with a small garden trowel to ensure I didn’t cut through any wires or cables. With Keith’s accuracy being spot on, I only had to dig one hole. This could have been a several day job if he was even off 3 – 5 feet, as well as destroying my landscape.
I am really impressed with his service and knowledge and will recommend Keith and The Leak Detectives to anyone who has an underground problem!
