Tammy’s day care

I do not currently have children enrolled with Tammy’s Daycare but I have known her since she opened years and years ago and was very blessed to have found the perfect home-​away –from –home for my children at that time. Tammy takes her job very seriously and would not still be in business if she didn’t. She goes above and beyond the standard provider, she is educated, she teaches a wonderful curriculum that children love doing, and it is obvious by looking at her childcare that a lot of her income goes right back into her business, which shows how much she loves her job! I think that todays generation of parents feel a little guilty for having to work such long hours and leaving their children in daycare that they tend to spoil the children a little bit. Tammy is a teacher, a nurturer, and a very ethical and moral person… one in which any parent should be proud to have their children around. If you are looking for a provider that makes excuses for your childrens naughty behavior, an enabler, or a grandma that cuddles and kisses your children all day… this is not your place. Tammy is strict with her policies and procedures, they are also all online so that you can review them to see if they are going to work for you. We want our children to know the importance of following rules and it is the perfect opportunity for the parent to lead by example instead of making excuses why the rules don’t fit. I could go on and on about why I love Tammys daycare but the proof is in the educated, responsible, caring, sharing, and loving kids that she cares for. I just hope she is still doing daycare when I have my grandbabies.

Tammy’s Day Care is the BEST! She’s amazing at what she does. She’s worked with children for years she knows what she’s doing. She teaches the children manners and to respected other children and adults.

We used Tammy’s Daycare and had planned to enroll our child for several months. We stayed for less than a week. Previously, we had a used another home day care which was a wonderful and nurturing environment. The couple that ran that day care retired and we were looking for an alternative. We thought that Tammy’s Daycare would provide this same environment. We could not have been more wrong.
The first day or two seemed fine. However, I began to notice a few things that didn’t seem right. Our child who previously loved daycare no longer wanted to go to daycare after a couple of days at Tammy’s. When questioned, our child stated that Tammy was «mean». A child’s perspective can be a different from an adult’s and I was willing to give the benefit of the doubt but also planned keep an eye on the situation. A day later our child told us that Tammy had said bad things about us, the parents. My child does not lie and is honest almost to a fault. When I spoke to Tammy about the situation she was rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. I was shocked by her behavior and I could not imagine leaving my child in the care of this woman. We terminated the care immediately. She demanded payment for future services since we had not provided two weeks notice. When I questioned paying her given her behavior she made comments that money must be an issue for us. Money is not an issue for us. What IS an issue is a day care provider who is rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional.
In our opinion, there are day care providers that enrich your children’s’ lives and Tammy’s Daycare is NOT one of them.
