Service was prompt but I felt like the woman helping us was in a hurry. I work retail, I get that it was busy but I still want to make sure I’m okay with what I’m signing. She spoke fast and seemed short with us when we continued to ask questions. Taking time with customers would be a good idea to get a better customer service rating. I did end up going with a bed from here because she price matched Sears(after we checked online) knocking $ 300 off the bed and offered no interest for 2 years. All and all, good deals and lackluster customer service.

We needed to buy a mattress for our 9yr old daughter and the sales lady in the store was nice, I felt like we got a good deal. Delivery is supposed to be tomorrow and we get the phone call tonight saying that it will be delivered between 7 – 9PM! Seems a bit late to me, my daughter is in bed by 9 much less I wake up at 3am for work so I call to see if we can change the 2 hour window. They tell me it’s all computerized how the time slots get arranged and they have no control to change any of this. Really?! Not only were we not told that the delivery could be so late but they have no way to change it?! The response I got was«that’s what you get for free delivery» and our only other option was to reschedule the date and hope we didn’t get late delivery window again. Not a happy camper!

We met in with Trevor to see what options we have for mattress; he was very calm, knowledgeable and was super relaxing.

I wanted a new sheet set for my king size Tempurpedic. The manager, Patrick helped me and showed me the different options right away. The product I wanted was in stock. The problem is when I checked out. I have a Sleep Country credit card and wanted to charge the sheets on that card. I handed him my card. He told me I could only finance it that way if it was a purchase of $ 400+. Then he explained something about my card not really being like a regular credit card(it’s a Visa that I can only use at Sleep Country, on anything that Sleep Country sells, hence why I’m at Sleep Country trying to make a purchase). I told him I’ve been able to buy sheets that way at another SC location. So he said he would try it. He asked me a couple questions which I thought were for security reasons since he was questioning the ability to use my credit card. One of the questions was my SS#. He had my credit card and asked for a form of identification. I gave him my driver’s license. My last name on both cards was different(recent marriage) and that’s(so I thought) why he asked for a 2nd form of id. I gave him my debit card. Then he told me to check the questions on the little touch screen. I asked him why I was answering questions about my credit and he said it was to confirm that I have credit… Ok, so I sign it thinking I’m purchasing the sheets and then he tells me. «You’re approved!» Uh, what?! He then proceeds to say that he can«just link it» to my other credit card. Huh? He signed me up for a credit card that I didn’t want and already have. I told him I wanted to charge the sheets to my card and when he said I couldn’t, I told him another store location did that for me and then he said he would try it. So what exactly did he think he was«trying»? I did not ask to be signed up for any type of account, let alone a line of credit that is going to show up in my credit report against my will. I’m very upset about this mistake. I feel that he should have wondered why I was questioning the things about my credit and maybe I should have caught onto what he was doing but I was misguided even though I clearly told him what I wanted done. I wish that he would have communicated to me what he was doing. He never once said«I’m signing you up for a new credit card» which is when I would have stopped the process. He was holding my credit card that he was supposed to charge. Plain and simple. Charge my credit card for the sheets and I’m done. It doesn’t make sense to open a whole other account. He even asked at the beginning if I was still making payments on that card and I said yes. He then said«ok, so this account is still active». Yeah… Am I missing something here? I asked him why he did that and explained it was not what I wanted to do. I could have seriously exploded. He just pauses and goes«let me try it a different way». So he tries it this new crazy way… The correct way! He charged the sheets to my card and printed out a receipt. Then I asked him what will happen to that other account that he just so generously opened for me. He said«uhh, I don’t know». He gave me(the wrong number) to Synchrony Bank, and after I found the right number they told me it could take 72 hours for my account to even show up in their system. So I guess I have to wait 3 days to cancel an account I didn’t want in the first place… I am glad I got my sheets right then but after all that, I had him tax exempt me since I’m an Oregon resident, and he told me that he’s paying the tax like he’s doing me some favor. This was a total mess and you bet I filed a complaint with the district manager.

Just moved from Jersey yesterday and needed a mattress today. Big up to Jason from DIEGO! He definitely handled his business. I will be upgrading to a S&F from this store…
