Rose Urgent Care and Family Practice

Ummmm… no. I would give this place zero stars if I could. I probably should have trusted my parents when they said the place was a little sketchy. Prior to my visit, I had been informed that if they choose to treat you, they take you to the back and run through the whole HPI deal. Unsure of whether she was even talking to a real doctor, my mother was prescribed medication. If my mother wasn’t comfortable getting her blood drawn at a place like this, I knew I wasn’t going to like it because that lady is a trooper. During my first visit I pulled up to the drab looking office and found my way to the entrance. I noted how unfriendly the male receptionist was. There was another receptionist, but her back was turned to me (as the computer screen was facing the waiting room. HIPAA compliance? Meh). No «hello, how are you.» Just a «what are you here for?» After explaining my symptoms, he told me he would find someone to talk to me. I was very confused by that, but patiently stood at the counter. A few minutes later a little girl and her mom came in looking to get help. It took the female receptionist 10 minutes to turn around and discover that there was another patient standing next to me. After hearing her symptoms of a side ache, the receptionist told the girl to go to the ER. They didn’t look at her, they didn’t check her breathing, didn’t palpate, nothing. Another person walked into the room. Same thing. «Go to the ER.» Wow. I thought I was in the clear since no one had told me to go to the ER yet and I was still standing there like a fool. Next thing I know, a nurse or something comes out in scrubs. She asks me about my symptoms and tells me to go to an ER. WHAT? okay. I thought doctors were supposed to hold themselves to a certain standard of care, keep track of the staff they hire (considering this was such a small practice), and make sure that patients get the best care. Even after volunteering at the Free Clinic, I feel like the Free Clinic staff is friendly, their doctors helpful, and they serve their community. After going to a different practice I was told by the receptionist that Rose Urgent Care seems to be very selective because quite a few people had already told her that the urgent care refused to see them. On the bright side, the seats in their waiting room are comfy.

I am only giving one star because I have to! ! I waited in the front room for over an hour (arrived at 1:15pm) When I went up to the desk to say something, she looked shocked and said that the doctors had gone to lunch (is 2:30 pm now)???what. So they call a doctor back from lunch but now they have lost all my paperwork!!! Doctor is now being rude to me because she was called back from lunch. …whhaaattt? VERY RUDE DOCTORS HERE. The ladies at the front desk, bless their hearts, are looking at me like a deer in headlights, shaking their heads and mouthing the words «I’m so sorry «to me while being yelled at by a female doctor. The doctor told me she would not fill my prescriptions (no, none of them are pain pills) in the midst of all of this. …NOW I’M SCARED TO BE THEIR PATIENT! !!! Will be switching providers asap!!!
