We had pizza here this weekend and it was incredible! Our boys are frustratingly picky eaters and they couldn’t get enough. One bite told my wife and I why. Fresh ingredients, the perfect consistency of crust, light afterwards. My boys had the pepperoni, my wife the Margherita pizza and I had the«early summer». I wish we lived closer for more!

We have a winner! Finally a worthy contender for pizza on the north side of the Columbia. The dough is flavorful, chewy and crispy with just the right amount of char. Best pizza in Vancouver and its in a food truck! I’ll be back.

Best pizza Clark County full stop. Nothing even comes close. Competitive with good pizzas in portland like Kens and Life of Pie, maybe not quite there but within shouting distance for sure. Friendly owner and great story. Needs a better location, maybe one day he can go all out for a bricks and mortar location. Highly recommended.

This place is amazing! My fiancé and I went on a whim after reading some very highly recommended reviews on Unilocal! And we were not let down! It was so delicious, we had the margherita Italian sausage and caramelized onion pizza and the arugula salad with an ice cold prickly pear San Pellegrino for a drink! They have all your bases covered here and it’s delightful! You can’t miss it, it’s the big blue food truck off 78th and 99th!

We stopped for some of Daisuke Matsumoto’s delicious pizza on our way through town because of the great reviews. And this food truck did not disappoint! The crust is light, crispy and flavorful. The toppings are generous. And the pies are cooked perfectly in the super hot, wood fired oven. The customer service was excellent, too. Thanks for a great dinner! We will be back the next time we’re in Vancouver.

The anchovies & capers pizza was absolutely amazing! So many unique optionS to choose from. I hope the location doesn’t inhibit this placing from thriving! Check the hours before you go. I will be back soon!

The pizza was great! Napoleon style is my favorite and the owner has perfected his pizza’s. The crust is flavorful and thin as expected and the toppings are minimal as they are traditionally. In my opinion this the best and at least the top three pizza places in the entire Vancouver and Portland area. If you are looking for a traditional American style pizza this is not the place for you, I don’t need or want two pounds of pizza dough. Thin, light, flavorful and traditional!

This is the BEST pizza place around, and he makes the best margherita pizza I’ve ever had, and I’ve tried them at every pizza place I’ve been that offered it. The only bad thing is that I live too far away to go as often as I want!

Mr. Matsumoto puts love into every slice. Passion, drive, and heart all sprinkled over a perfectly crisp crust. Fired for three minutes, and given to you at a great price. Excellent value, authentic flavour. There are not enough places in this country that makes pizza the way pizza is supposed to be made. This is one of them. Let’s hope he can expand soon and not loose the magic. Update– Mr. Matsumoto: Be careful who you make friends with! Everybody wants a slice!

Daisuke is such a joy to interact with! His passion is obvious and his care for his craft is evidence. It’s true, for Daisuke, it truly is more than just a meal, it is something he cares about and has spent time learning and growing in. And for the Gluten Free folks, he cares about you too and wants you to have the best! All his flours, as well as the gluten free flours come direct from Italy.

I have not written a Unilocal review in years but La Sorrentina is bringing it out of me. The dough is perfection. I have lived in the states for 17 years and no dough has ever been this authentically Neapolitan. Add imported tomatoes, fresh basil, and you have yourself the most delicious margherita. It helps that Daisuke is a friendly guy with a lot of personality. He is a true pizza master!

This place blows my mind! The pizza is excellent. I had the sausage and sweet onion. All the ingredients are super fresh and it has that authentic Italian cook/flavor that you aren’t going to get anywhere else in Vancouver. And it’s made in a food truck?! Incredible. The owner was also very nice and welcoming. I will definitely be back for more!

I am Italian and from NJ near NYC. I have been here in the Sherwood neighborhood for 18 years and we just recently got a great beer tap house and now a delicious pizza. I have to laugh at the guy who complained that this wasn’t American pizza. LOL. What he meant was this isn’t Couve pizza. Most of the people around here NEVER had a good pizza. They were raised on Dominoes, Pizza Hut, Papa Murphys, and Round Table. Note: those are garbage foods designed for maximum profit and maximum calories. If you want to slam down mass quantities of cheap cheese melted on cheap bleached white flour bread and hot house tomatoes mixed with ketchup for $ 5.99, then you won’t like this pizza. Don’t waste your time insulting the man and his work, after all, he is a chef trained in Italy just like most of the pizza shops in NY/NJ. If you actually try this pizza, you have to clear your mind of garbage pizza and pretend you are eating something new for the first time. The Pizza Margherita was great. The flour and tomatoes are imported, the cheese isn’t piled on, the crust is thin and crispy, the tomatoes and fresh basil mix is not something you slam down. This is a pizza to enjoy each bite and let your palate discover subtle taste that you cannot get from the factory pizza stores. We also had the Pepperoni, but this was my old behavior jumping in because I assumed a pizza truck on 78th Street and glamorous Highway 99 can’t really be any good. Happily, I was wrong. We will be back. My only disappointment is his oven is small and limited to 10 inch pies. If you support him, maybe next year he can open a sit down restaurant!

I got 6 different pizzas off the menu for a Birthday Party. None of us liked the taste of the pizza’s. I won’t put one star because it is fresh and hand made with great ingredients, I think we just like the taste of American style pizza and not Italian. If you like Pizzicato then you might like this place also. The crust was unlike anything I was use to, it may be the true Italian crust but it seemed rubbery and not bread like. Nobody at the party liked the sauce, I am sure it is fresh and authentic but like I said we like American Pizza. This is the only negative review on this place but only judge that on our taste buds. He was quick and polite and it was interesting to watch, I wish him the best.

This is the best pizza in Clark County. Absolutely great. Traditional wood fired pizza, made in a searing hot oven in about 90 seconds. This place is going to get tons of my money. When asked what I wanted, I told the owner to simply make me the pizza that he thought best represented his business. He made me a margherita, a perfect one. The sauce was fresh and vibrant, not sticky or awkwardly-artificially red, and not sweet. The mozzarella was applied so that I got some with every bite, but not to the point of smothering or overpowering the pizza. The basil wasn’t cut, which I enjoyed. It helps prevent it from drying out too much in the oven. The crust was absolutely exceptional. Pliable, but still firm. The outside had some char, but didn’t dominate the flavor, and the middle was fully cooked, something some places struggle with when cooking this fast. This is absolutely on par with the likes of Solstice, Handsome, Pyros and Firehouse. Staff was friendly and polite, asking me about where I had heard of them, what I was up to that day, etc.

This food truck is brand new and had already become our new favorite pizza place in town! We’ve tried all the pizzas and they are all awesome, but our favorites are the Sausage & Sweet Onion and the Quattro Stagioni. The crust is perfect and all the toppings are super fresh and high quality. Also, the Mezza Luna Nutella dessert is a really good way to finish a meal. Seriously, so good.

It’s so awesome! I’ve eaten pizza at lots of local places, from MegaBite to Blind Onion to Round Table and Dominos, and this is BYFAR the BEST! The toppings are fantastic quality, the sauce is perfect, not too spicy, not too bland, just flavorful and delicious. And the crust. THECRUSTROCKS! It’s chewy and has just a hint of sourdough flavor with a crunchy crust. It adds to the flavor of the pizza and it’s good enough to eat alone. My favorite pizza is the sausage and sweet onion, but they’re all good. It’s only been open about a week, and I’ve had four different pizzas. The dessert is awesome too. Try the carrot cake! Try the Nutella pizza(that has a fancy name I can’t remember). Try one of everything, you can’t go wrong. Yum!

Truly authentic Neapolitan pizza made in a blue food cart in Vancouver, WA in a wood fired oven! Absolutely the most amazing pizza I’ve eaten this side of Naples, Italy! I’m addicted to the chef’s desserts as well. The Panna cotta is a must! I can’t wait for more. Brand new, just opened! This place is a must!
