Our experience at Mattress Factory Outlet was good. My wife and I were looking to buy a king bed and had looked around in Portland, OR with little luck. When we arrived at the showroom, Brian was knowledgable about the products and was not pushy like the other stores we visited. We took our time and felt like we made a good decision on the Seally 4.0 memory foam mattress. Spencer who rang us up was polite. The cool thing was that Mattress Factory paid the sales tax for us and included the frame. Our delivery guys were good as well. Took no more than 10 minutes to get everything set up and out the door. The only thing is that prices are a little higher than other shops we looked at but you do get a lot for the money you spend. If you buy pillows within 90 days of a mattress purchase, they are running a promo of 25% off. I would certainly recommend Mattress Factory Outlet.

Visited the store after seeing other wonderful reviews on Unilocal.Let’s just say I was NOT disappointed! Spencer was honest, tremendously helpful, and the best it gets in a salesperson when you’re going to be spending $ 1,000+. There was no pressure at all… we even left and went to Macy’s across the street to comparison shop. We were actually re-directed back to this store by an associate there(thank you!). Long story short… don’t hesitate to shop here. Give this fantastic, locally run and honest company your business!

My wife and I went in looking the buy a twin mattress for our 3 year old son. We where friendly welcome as we walk in and was ask promptly what they could do to help us. They gave us all the information we ask for and we’re not pushy at all. It was a great experience and will go back again when we need another mattress. Also they have a little area for kids and play kid movie.

So when a friend needed a new bed, I took her shopping. We went to a varied mess of mattress stores, dealing with horrible prices, hard sell tactics(for a bed? really!?) and crazy kids on streets waving signs and somehow ended up here. What a pleasant surprise! This store is unapologetically small and family run, and you can feel it in their mini office area. There’s a little kid’s corner with a TV that looks like it was bought in 1970, a popcorn machine for anyone who feels the urge(pass, but I appreciate the thought), and friendly people. I talked to the salesman on staff and I got a good sense that the business was a comfortable, nice place to work. I think that says a lot about the management, and he was completely absent of the tactics I’ve dealt with from other salespeople, which gets me dragged out shopping so much. They even had a pretty nice promotion to offset their slightly higher base cost, by using the tax as a discount to give the impression that the store was paying the taxes for the customer. Slick! We bought her bed here and they charged a very reasonable delivery fee. Ultimately she spent about 90% what she would have elsewhere and had a good experience, and she told me the delivery guy was nice too, so score. Two thumbs up and I’ll go here myself when I need a new bed eventually.
