A good place for breakfast, which is rare in this town. I will be coming back and bringing friends!

The majority of the food here is homemade, and sometimes it is pretty creative, too!(Rueben Soup, Sloppy Joe Omelettes… you get the idea). There is usually a selection of soups, and they offer a couple of lunch specials daily in addition to a breakfast special. Pricing is good, for the portion and quality of what you get. No complaints there, either. Service is friendly, and almost always smiling. I see a few reviewers and have said that they are inexperienced… Its food service, not rocket science. I think they are doing just fine, but maybe you happened to come in on a day when they had a couple of new bussers to train? Typically takes a shift or two to get into the swing of things, even if you do have experience in the position and have simply changed establishments. Every company has a different set of rules and standards to learn. They have had a great selection of GF and other foods that I can have, specialty type items for those of us with food allergies and sensitivities. Thats a huge plus, since many places immediately get annoyed as soon as you start asking questions about the ingredients… but how else will I know what I can/cannot have anywhere without getting sick later? Sorry, people… its just the way I have to live. The location is a bit«odd» as others have pointed out already. But thats part of the fun, IMO! The memorabilia is interesting and covers most sports, as well as a more than just one generation and era of each team, which is educational and interesting. In fact… Im actually headed there for dinner in just a moment. :)

Can’t stop coming here! So delicious! So delicious! They really know how to do the food right! Big portions of delicious food, served up in a reasonable amount of time. We mostly go for breakfasts, but they do pretty great lunches and dinners, as well. Try them out, the price is right!

Odd location in business park, but easy enough to find. Baseball and sports memorabilia theme that is quaint but fun. Service is a bit slow, but the food is quite tasty. Prices are reasonable. Overall this is a nice place to get some yummy chow and hang with some friends. This place is quite small so don’t bring allot of friends.

The food is affordable & tasty, the people are welcoming & this place is a family owned business. Support local business & visit Linda’s.

I was really disappointed. Truck stop quality food and priced too high for both food and service quality. Ok if you can’t find anything else.

I’ve been here twice now and both experiences were great. The staff was incredibly attentive and helpful, I felt right at home and comfortable. Not to mention, the food knocked my socks off. My half plate of biscuits and gravy was enough to stuff me silly without leaving a bit behind to spare. I will certainly be back to try something new very soon!

If you didn’t know this place existed, you’d miss it. Located in an industial building off the main thoroughfare, one would have to know a local or would have to be following GPA in order to find this place. Once you go through the fairly non-descript door, one becomes surrounded with pictures of local sports teams and memorabilia, family photos, and an obvious sports motif, down to the laquered half-bats and whole baseballs at every booth. It’s not a large restaurant, and becomes crowded quickly, making seating for a modest family of 5 a challenge for the inexperienced staff. The waitstaff consistently underfilled both coffee cups and never checked the water or apple juice glasses once they were delivered. Two of the dishes were brought out first, and several minutes passed before the rest of the food was delivered, possibly due to either inexperience of the cook in the kitchen or the influx of orders. There was a distinct air of «I would rather be anywhere else but here» from the only male server in the group as he «waited» tables and played host to incoming customers. And while the food was good(the bacon and cheese omelet was delicious), I would have to say that dealing with the distinct lack of customer service, especially on Father’s Day(my boyfriend’s father was in our group) did nothing to make the experience any more enjoyable.

Came here for the first time this Sunday looking for a local breakfast joint. I ordered the eggs benedict with hash browns and my spouse ordered the prime rib, both which were on special. The food was pretty good, my only complaint was that my hashbrowns were cold so they must have been sitting and waiting while my eggs benedict were prepared. Service was friendly and very attentive despite being busy. We will be back again, I would just recommend to the owner and chef to ensure that all of the food on a plate is piping hot!

This a great resturant to eat at. I love the breakfast and would reccomend it to anyone. The waiters and waitress are quite friendly and know how to joke around with you at the same time. Great sports place to because they will have games on the TV and they love the Seahawks.

Food portions were excellent and lean… not fatty. Enjoyed the atmosphere and the help was exceptional! Thanks!

The atmosphere is homespun meets sports bar… cute! The staff is fantastic, great service! The food not good. My son had sausage gravy over biscuit s and the sausage had gone bad… inedible. my food, steak and eggs came 7 min after his and the steak was so tough I could barely cut it or chew it… too much muscle. Won’t be back. Update: the manager sent me a nice reply and said they have made significant changes. Will give them another chance.

OK, this is long but bear with me before you decide to go here. Our family started going to Linda’s in August this year and would religiously go every other week when they would have eggs benedict(my wife isn’t much of a breakfast person but likes eggs benedict. It was a cheap place to get a decent breakfast and loud enough where I didn’t feel like my kids(3 and 6) were bothering anyone. The service always left something to be desired but I’m not that picky and could deal with it. That all changed this last weekend. My family went to grab breakfast and we got a table right away even though it was fairly busy. As soon as they brought our drinks and coffee we ordered as we knew what we wanted. Well, 50 minutes goes by and two tables who had arrived after us(one 15 – 20 minutes after we were seated) got served their food. My wife asked the waitress what the deal was as we were starving and other tables had gotten their order but we were still waiting. The waitress says she will check and then doesn’t come back. 5 minutes later I flag her down and ask what’s going on, she said she needs to talk to another worker(I believe the owners daughter) who is talking to friends at another table. A few more minutes go by and nobody has come back over to talk to us so we waive a male who was serving coffee and ask him what is going on and he has no idea. The original waitress finally came back and said that our food was going on the grille. So basically our order was lost and they didn’t realize it until I mentioned something to the waitress. At this point, I was done and ready to leave. I told her don’t bother, we’re going elsewhere and she throws up her hands and is mad at us. We gather our stuff and leave. I walked back in to try and talk to a manager as this was totally unacceptable. When I walk in, all the employees are busy so I stand by the front to wait so I’m not bothering anyone. As I am standing there, a waitress(I believe owners daughter) is taking an order at a table about 4 feet from me. She then tells the table that her mom is cooking so things are taking a little longer than usual and that some group(referring to me and my family) was so impatient and being ridiculous that they had just left for no reason. At this point, she is obviously referring to us and is being a smart ass. I interrupt and explain that two tables were seated much later than us and they both got their food before we did. She basically tells me I am lying and told me to leave. I said fine and told her that this is the worst service I have ever received anywhere and proceeded to head toward the door. Then, an old lady who I can only assume is the owner, comes out of the kitchen and is walking aggressively towards me yelling to get out of her restaurant. I explained how I felt about the service, not calling anyone names or swearing, just that I felt it was the worst service I have ever received. She then starts yelling to get out of the restaurant, which I did and followed me out the door screaming F– You several times. This is in front of customers, including children who were dining there. I had had enough and yelled the same back at her as I was walking to my car. Not once did someone apologize for our food taking so long and the blame was put on us for being impatient and unreasonable. Not to mention that the owner started yelling F&*@ You Several times as I was exiting the restaurant. I’m all for supporting small businesses but not when they treat their customer’s like this. From reading other comments, it sounds like Jason H. was there the same day I was and I can only assume that the customers they referred to as «assholes» was myself and my family. Unprofessional, rude, and average food at best. I would give 0 stars if I could.

Never heard of this place and happy I tried it. Went for breakfast on a Sunday morning around 10 a.m. and there was no line. The place did fill up closer to 11. Breakfast was great and reasonably priced. The service was great. I think every employee in the place helped us at some point. It was an enjoyable visit. I had corn beef hash. Nothing special about it tastes like the one you but at store. Hubby had prime rib and eggd. It was pretty tasty! Worth checking out.

It’s sad when you go to a local joint like this and see a waitress breaking up frozen biscuits out of a box from Sysco foods. No home town diner should have store bought frozen biscuits. That being said. I had the chicken fried steak. It was ok. Not great. Not bad. Just ok. Waitress was not friendly except to the regulars. It’s not a bad breakfast joint but I’ll keep looking when I’m in this area cause it’s not special.

Okay, they served my HOT omelet with a cold watermelon slice on top. Right there they showed me they are definitely a diner. Let’s cool down the hot food and warm up the cold all in one! I was quite pleased they knew what MSG was and were able to say they do not add it to their food. They were also quite honest that their gravy and other foods are prepackaged or from cans. That tells me I cannot safely eat anything here except the most basic of foods, which is why I ordered a simple ham and swiss cheese omelette. The omelette wasn’t as good as the one I could make it home, but it was feeling. The hashbrowns needed seasoning. Just salt would have been wonderful. It is a very small restaurant and will not be able to handle any large group. They would have to take all the available small tables that were not booths and put them all together to accommodate a group. I really like that they had a children’s area with activities for smaller children. We also enjoyed seeing the memorial table for the military right inside the front door. If you want a home away from home where they will know your name and remember your preferred foods, then this is a place for you. From what we could tell they knew the majority of the 15 or so customers that were in the restaurant. Also the restaurant seemed very clean. I’m actually sad that they did not have fresher food, but used prepackaged or prepared food. I would encourage the owners to branch out and experiment a bit with some more exciting omelette filling choices. Like mushrooms or tomatoes!

Five stars for the restaurant that reminds me of Cheers(OK, everybody sing the jingle now — «where everybody knows your name) this restaurant serves diner-type food for breakfast and lunch daily. They do a good job and the waitstaff, including Linda, her daughter Lindy, a grand daughter, and some other non-family members that seem like family, Rosie in particular, are efficient and friendly. Their prices are fair, the food is always served fresh and hot and the portions are generous. Many times you can order a smaller version or a larger portion to fit your hunger level. Nice! Three nights a week they serve dinner specials. These specials rotate but every Friday they serve hand-dipped, beer-battered halibut. It is delicious. Scott is a very good cook. And, if you question this review, know that I know what I’m talking about as I am The Duke here and visit often. You can’t go wrong. Anyone spewing stuff here abouts that says otherwise is on drugs or has an agenda.

What a cozy, friendly, local place. Finally some good breakfast in Vancouver! After a few days of being snowed in, the roomie and I finally decided to venture outside. We wanted to do a celebratory last breakfast out in Vancouver since we’re moving to Portland, and we’ve wanted to try the breakfast cart inside of Chuck’s for some time, so that’s where we headed… but when we got there, we found it was closed for a few days due to a catering event. The roads were still crappy so we didn’t want to go too far to eat somewhere else and we found Linda’s Homeplate on Unilocal,of course. Our GPS led us right to it, and even though it’s right on the corner of a building with a sign, it’s still kind of hard to find because it seems to be such a weird place for a restaurant. Upon walking in, there is immediately a bunch of military paraphernalia on the left, which gets two thumbs up each from us since we are both servicemembers. The rest of the restaurant is covered with Seahawks and Mariners gear. We sat ourselves, and our server came over promptly. We both ordered coffees to start and took our time looking at the menu, which was all very basic stuff. We finished our first cups of coffee, and when the server came back to take our orders, he noticed that my friend’s empty cup had a ton of grounds in the bottom. He immediately took it and brought back a clean mug without us having to ask. Friend then ordered the veggie omelet, along with their donuts for us to share, and I went with the hash. I didn’t even see the donuts on the menu so I wasn’t sure what to expect… but they came out piping hot and obviously freshly homemade, with both chocolate and vanilla frosting on the side(we asked for both). They were delightful just on their own, with no frosting at all. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time, and both dishes were good — nothing to rave about and nothing to complain about. The donuts were definitely the highlight of the meal. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. Our coffee mugs were never empty, the prices are great, the service is excellent, and the ambiance is what you would expect out of a dive-y, local place. Probably the best breakfast there is to be had in this city.

I had come in with my husband and inlaws, I had the Halibut Fish and Chips special and a bowl of Clam Chowder. I have to say the best clam chowder very creamy, thick, and full of delicious flavors. I loved every bite!!! The halibut was a nice rich color for the breading, the Halibut was flaky and eating it the flavors mingled and were delicious, I enjoyed every bite the beer batter for the coating was awesome. I got full very fast, I ate a couple french fries a bite of my roll and half the side order of jalepeno’s I got… I give this meal 5 stars all across the board. Service was awesome and humerous, I enjoyed it very much :-)
