Ice Cream Renaissance

Love love love! Tried this place for the first time on Sunday and I will definitely be back! Ice cream is amazing. They also have options for those who can’t have dairy.

Oh so GOOD! The staff are always happy and helpful, even when you come in right before they close! The homemade ice cream is perfect, a selection that varies with the seasons, though some of their stuff is always available. A fun place to get your sweet tooth taken care of!

My daughter said it was like a party in her mouth. She ordered a banana split. Great place!

All I can say is BEST ice cream ever!!! A most come to place for kids too! I bring my nephew here once ever few months and he absolutely loves it!

This is one of our favorite stops to cap off a family birthday celebration. Good selection of desserts, pleasant staff and nice environment with plenty of seating.

Fabulous ice cream. When we have family or friends in town this place is a «must» on our things to do list.

Anyone not like ice cream? Seriously it’s God’s gift to humanity. This place does it well.

Awesome ice cream no matter what you get. I personally like the St Helen’s but officers row or split is good. You cannot really go wrong on anything there. The servers are very friendly and helpful if you cannot decide. Have been a regular for a while.

AMAZING ICE CREAM! We used to drive across the river into Portland to get ice cream that was high quality and also had fun and creative flavors. ICR has great flavors, good staff, and you don’t have to wait in a line for an hour that wraps the block for an over priced scoop. Coffee Addicts Choice till the day I die!

Came here to end a date night with my husband and it was exactly what we needed! Lots of different options and fun ways to eat your ice cream! The Botticelli Brownie Sundae is hands down the best thing on the menu!

Came here last month with a few of my gals and really loved the place! We came around a second time and were really indecisive about what to get so we decided to go with the «Indecision Ice Cream Therapy,» we wanted to get surprised and that’s exactly what we got. The ice cream was delicious!
The only reason I was slightly disappointed with this place was because the first time around we ordered some Italian Sodas and we were really dissatisfied with them. They tasted like just club soda with some slight sweetener and cream. Not at all an Italian Soda, but their service and ice cream definitely made up for it! I would definitely come here again and would also recommend!

No Salt and Straw!
I ordered ice cream to go and they put the ice cream in a cardboard box. The ice cream tastedworse than the cardboard box it came in.

Regulars at ice cream Renaissance for years. Small batch delicious ice cream. My favorite is the honey vanilla root beer float. Cool artwork on the walls and a great atmosphere. FYI this place is not a great option if you are in a rush and looking form fast food… Like most quality small businesses :)

Nice little place to stop for ice cream. Each flavor is handmade and there are some interesting flavors and combinations. Worth trying and I will go back, but… lacks the creaminess of a good ice cream.

For what it is I found it to be a very delicious experiece. I find the décor to appeal to the late-​teen early-​20-​something put-​inspirational-​witty-​phrases on everything crowd. The ice cream was good but I didn’t find the flavors as inspirational as the décor. For my dollar and time nothing compares to Salt & Straw. This location is not quite there; it’s a step up from Baskin Robbins or DQ but just not at the top of the game. I sampled a few flavors and didn’t find intensity or richness in any of them except the midnight dream, so that’s what I had. The coffee ice cream just didn’t have the rich coffee flavor I would expect, the coconut luau just wasn’t an eye opener, the honey vanilla lacked in both, and the cookies and cream needed oreos on top to qualify it as such.

Thoroughly enjoyed. Wanted mint chip ice cream, but I just don’t trust a vegan dairy product so I settled on an Italian soda. Fiancé got churro ice cream & he said it tasted JUST like one. Everyone in our group raved about what they got, too. I didn’t pay our bill, so I don’t know how much each thing was, but my guess is «not cheap.» The portions were huge, I’ll give them that! At times it got pretty busy in there.

Great ice cream. Took my kid here and she had the «my inner child» (honey vanilla ice cream served with orange soda). I had just a simple scoop of the honey vanilla in a waffle cone. Nice atmosphere, cute place. Will definitely come back especially since the days are getting warmer.

Cute little place for date night or family night out. Thankful they are open later to get a treat after dinner! Good ice cream and the raspberry/​rhubarb pie was delicious. Husband loved the brownie Sunday! It made his mouth happy.

My case of Indecision 2014 resulted in … a Cookies & Cream and Strawberry Ice Cream Elephant. Maybe the Ice Cream sculptor thought I was a republican. More likely, he probably just observed I was nearly as fat as one. Who cares, right? I quickly started with the ears and worked my way down to the trunk. The homemade Ice Cream was delicious and creamy with just an edge of ice to it. Yum. If I was to let my indecision lead me to Ice Cream Renaissance regularly, there’s no doubt I’d end up looking like an elephant.
The décor at Ice Cream Renaissance is like one of those iPad hidden object games with a wild menagerie of stuff all over the store. … Seriously check out the pics of the ice cream shop interior. I kept wanting to click on things to find all the hidden quest items to solve some unknown mystery.
Even though I never did find everything hidden in the store scene and don’t know what my Indecision will lead to on any future visits to Ice Cream Renaissance, it’s no mystery why I’m a fan of this downtown Vancouver, WA ice cream shop. The scoopers behind the counter were cool and the ice cream even cooler.
